We enjoyed our stay overall—the location was great, the three refrigerators were useful, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of lake toys. However, this was our second time renting the house, and for the high cost, we expected more. The coffee maker broke on day two, and the ice maker and warming drawer didn’t work. Several bedrooms lacked proper curtains, affecting both sleep and privacy. The dock no longer has a ladder, and the beach exit is rocky and eroded, making it unsafe—especially for older guests. Cleanliness was generally good, but the shower grout and grill were neglected, with the grill posing a safety risk.Chris was responsive during the stay and offered help, but his solutions would have disrupted our vacation. Post-trip communication has been difficult—we’ve had no updates on the issues listed, our security deposit, or the return of a valuable item we left behind. We made the most of our trip and love Lake Anna, but addressing these concerns would make the house worth its price.
