Welcome to “Good Times & Tan Lines,” your oceanfront getaway located at the quiet north end of North Topsail Beach. This home features sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, New River Inlet, and soundside marshes, providing a peaceful and scenic setting perfect for families or friends seeking a true coastal retreat.

Please Note:
The beach area directly behind the home is designated as a no-swim zone. However, just a short walk south leads to better conditions for swimming and water play.

First, if you are someone that doesn't do well with stairs, please know this house is three stories; getting luggage & groceries in can be a challenging task. Also note that to get to groceries or anything else you may need, it's at least a 2o minute drive. The company that handles the house is great- our personal concierge was always quick to respond, friendly & even worked to ship a forgotten item back to us. Overall our stay was disappointing. The views & location to the ocean were perfect, but the home is in need of updates:-Cookware worn/utensils disappointing (had to wash forks before every meal for 5 people)-Kitchen cabinet was hanging off-Welcome email stated Keurig on site, there wasn't one-Dishwasher had to run twice to dissolve pod-Toaster didn't work-Couch worn out, you have to work yourself out of it-1 towel/washcloth per person, had to go buy more-Water pressure in showers way too strong, a little painful-Roaches/spiders in house-Gas grill the bottom was rusted out with burners barely hanging on- couldn't use-Dining room rug was duct taped down-Chair in master needs to be removed, "leather" is peeling-Jets in master tub were nastyWe would definitely stay in another home managed by Sol Searching Properties, but not this one.

Great view, but house needs updating

Check in was easy and the host was easy to get in contact with when we needed a baby gate. The view is great and the beach behind the house was never crowded. Kitchen appliances and washer/dryer were nice. However, the photos in the listing were a little misleading. The jet tub in the master was dirty when we got there. The water pressure in the showers were very strong and there was no way to turn the pressure down. The light fixture in one bathroom was coming off the wall. The table on the back porch was missing a square tile. We didn’t realize when booking that north topsail was so far away from most activities such as putt putt, but that was our fault for not checking into that before hand. The rug was taped down in the kitchen. Overall, just needs some maintenance

The location was beautiful to spend a week with our family. The beach was never crowded and the house was spacious. There was plenty of room for 7 adults. The view from the deck was amazing. Our complaint is that the house was not clean. There was food on the cupboards, also the plates and silverware in the cupboards were dirty. We ended up buying paper plates and plasticware to use. The master bedroom was comfy, but there was hair on the sheets and dirt on the matress pad. The leather furniture was worn and should be replaced.The bunkbed room is not a true bedroom and it is definitely not meant for adults. This room also did not have a tv even though the listing said it did.

Lovely place to stay. Easy walk to the beach. I was unaware you can't swim at the beach the backyard has access to. Simple maintenence issues, but overall communicatiin and host was wonderful. The home is lovely. We would stay there a million times again. Thank you all for letting us stay.

Disappointed, needs an update and deep clean

Several things are in need of an update and a deep cleaning. The furniture was very well worn for the price. Bar chairs were falling apart. The A/C unit for the upstairs had failed and the temporary room A/C they had installed was in the bedroom, very noisy and insufficient making it hard to sleep. The whirlpool tub had broken jet housings. The master shower was small with a shower head that had enough water pressure to remove paint and no means of turning the pressure down, only had temperature control. We had a heaving rain just after arriving which flooded the parking area and with no functional drain it had a few inches of stagnant water for days afterward making it very difficult to get in your vehicle without soaking normal shoes. Made the rental assistant aware of the flooding and was told “Mother Nature is not the prettiest at times”. How about investing back into the property to make it better? There was duct tape holding the dining room rug down and the television remote was sitting open with no batteries. It’s time for them to update their rental photos if they aren’t going to maintain the place. We tried to clean up but one of the vacuums was broken and the other was so dirty it wouldn’t hardly suck anything up, but what it did do was STINK! Now the good part, the kitchen appliances were nice and the views were fantastic. The beach was great, plenty of room and not too busy while we were there in early June. I would go to area again but renting elsewhere.

Good Times and Tan Lines

We had an amazing stay at this beachside rental on North Topsail Beach! The house was comfortable and perfectly located just feet from the ocean. Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching sunsets from the deck made this trip unforgettable. The beach was peaceful and never crowded — exactly what we were hoping for. We can't wait to come back!
