Our spacious 1,900 sq. ft. retreat offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether you're visiting for a family event, a work trip, or a leisurely getaway.

The Cozy Blue Getaway is more than just a rental; it’s a thoughtfully curated retreat designed to offer the comforts and conveniences that I seek when I return to my roots for a family visit. From the fully stocked kitchen to the carefully chosen board games and cozy reading nooks, every detail has been included with the intention of making you feel right at home.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: This inviting house features three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
On the Main Level: The master bedroom with an en-suite, with an entrance to the back deck so you can slip out for a night cap by the fire without ever disturbing the little ones. A kid-friendly bedroom with a full and twin sized bed, both rated for up to 300lbs so safe for the young and of at heart; and second full bathroom.

Upstairs: a third bedroom with queen sized bed and half bath provide a separate living space, perfect for multiple families traveling together. A second living room with x-large sectional sofa and TV is the perfect separate space for the teens to have their own private space or set up as an additional sleeping area to allow for guests over 6.

Living Room: Complete with an attached office space overlooking the front yard. Enjoy movie nights or gaming sessions with the 65” smart TV, sound bar, and Xbox station. Newly updated large sectional gives plenty of space for the whole family to fit comfortably. The large coffee table is ideal for family game nights, and the house is stocked with board games, decks of cards, puzzles, and books for your entertainment.

TV's: all TV's in the house are either smart TV's or equipped with a Roku devices for guests to log into their own streaming services. This house does NOT have cable TV.
- For guests that do not have their own streaming subscriptions, "Pluto" app is a free app that is downloaded on all TV's.

Kitchen: Our fully renovated kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, elegant waterfall quartz countertops, and all the tools you need for your culinary adventures.
- Coffee and tea bar is stocked with individual coffee packets, a variety of tea, creamers, sugar, and honey to get you started.

Outdoors: A ¾ fenced backyard, a safe space where kids can play. Brand new back deck completed in April '26. Complete with a new patio dining set with seating for 8. As well as a small propane fire pit to enjoy your evenings around. You might even spot a family of deer wandering through the yard! I provide weekly yard maintenance year-round to keep the space pristine.

BBQ: propane 4 burner BBQ.
- BBQ utensils are provided and should ONLY be used for the grill, NOT for inside cooking.
- Guests are responsible for cleaning the grill at the end of their stay so it is ready for the next guests to come and enjoy it.
- An additional cleaning fee of $25 will be charged for failure to clean grill back to the way you found it. Cleaning product and supplies are provided for you to do so.
- A back up propane tank is kept in the garage. If you end up needing to switch tanks to start using the backup, please notify me so that I know the other tank needs to be filled. Thank you.
- Grill cover should be placed back on the grill after cleaning, prior to departure.

Patio furniture: cover should be placed over table and chairs before departure or if it is going to rain during your stay. Cushions for chairs are stored in the storage bin located inside of the garage during the winter months. Please feel free to pull them out for use in the winter months if you're lucky enough to be there when it's not raining :)

Family friendly neighborhood. There is a park that has water features during the summer, 3 blocks down the street for family friendly fun. Local hospital is 6 blocks away. Downtown attractions for entertainment, dinning, and shopping are a 5 mins car drive or 15-20 walk down the hill. Downtown Mount Vernon is buzzing with restaurants, breweries and distilleries, local shops and a beautiful boardwalk along the river.

Easy access to I-5, less than 5 mins, for exploring surrounding areas.

House Rules:

Candles: Open flames of any sort are strictly prohibited in and around the home. Candles of any sort and incense are prohibited in the house at all times. Damage of surfaces caused by wax or ash will result in a $100 fine as well as cost of replacing any damaged surfaces/furniture.

Smoking: -Smoking/vaping is permitted outside only away from open doors and windows. NO smoking of any kind is allowed inside the home. Dispose of butts appropriately into garbage can and not in the lawn.

Shoes: please remove shoes upon entry to the house and use the provided shoe storage rack. Shoes are NOT permitted to be worn throughout the house, especially on the carpets. Please remove shoes before coming in from the back deck into the bedroom.

Registered Guests Only: Only guests registered on booking are permitted to stay overnight. House is equipped for 6 people with possible room for an additional 2 with additional occupancy fee paid per day when approved at time of booking. Unregistered guests will be asked to leave premises and may be grounds for cancelation of booking without refund for breaking house rules.

No Parties Allowed: no parties/large group gatherings above maximum house occupancy allowed unless previously approved by host at time of booking. Local law enforcement will be notified and booking will be canceled without refund.

No Music Outside: please be respectful of the neighbors. Loud music at any time of day is not permitted. If enjoying the outdoor space during the day, please keep music levels to a low respectable level. If noise volume complaints are received, you will be asked to turn all music off outside during your stay.

Do not put away any used linen/bedding. Housekeeper will wash ALL bedding/linen that has been used. If airbed is used, please leave out so they can be sanitized for the next guest.
- If utilizing one of the couches as sleeping quarters, please place a sheet from the linen closet down to cover the couch first

Toilet: Please, nothing but toilet paper should go in the toilet. There’s a trash bin in each bathroom for everything else.

Trash/Recycling/Compost: please place corresponding items in the corresponding bins located along the side of the house.
Recycled items should NOT be in bags.
Boxes should be broken down and can/plastic bottles crushed to help not overfill.
