amazing sweet spot!

this cottage had everything we needed for a wonderful stay on the island! walk to the beach, convenient to town, wonderful bed, quiet sleep, kind and generous hosts, beautiful gardens to sit and read in.

Gracious Hosts

Theresa & Andre were excellent host. Very helpful with suggestions to eating & places to see. Went above & beyond getting Mass times for us & printing airline tickets out for us. What a wonderful evening we spent with them & getting to know them & their family. Dinner prepared by Theresa was excellent.

Home Away From Home

Theresa and her husband Andrew made us feel like family. We loved staying in their guest cottage. Great location and they had a car right on the property which made exploring the island nice and easy. Thank you Theresa, will be back again soon!

Ocean sounds cottage

We stayed for 5 days at Ocean Sounds cottage. Theresa was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was very clean and sized perfectly for one or two people. The neighborhood is lovely and the beach just a short drive away.

Garden Cottage

The cottage was so cozy and quiet. Perfect for two. Our hosts, Theresa and Andrew Burrows were both gracious and helpful. We had two wonderful weeks exploring this very unique and friendly island.

Perfect Getaway

The cottage was perfect, everything I needed and a great location. A 5 min drive to Twin Coves Beach which was my favorite beach. I snorkeled there everyday. Governor's Harbour is a great central location on the island. Theresa was lovely host and I enjoyed our conversations. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Little Cottage!

My son & I had an amazing stay & the cottage was perfect! Theresa & Andrew were absolutely amazing hosts and made us feel like family! Andrew has a spectacular tropical garden & took the time to make us fresh coconut milk & shared some of his sugar apples with us. Twin coves is a 5 minute walk from the cottage & special beach to see! It is very close to Governor’s Harbor, I highly recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable & convenient spot to explore the island from, we will definitely be back!

Peaceful place and wonderful beach

We stayed at the beautiful situated ocean view cottage for 6 days with a family of 3 persons. It‘s small and cosy and gives you everything you need. The garden is beautiful and we loved to spend time on the terasse for extensive breakfasting :-) Within 10 minutes by foot there is one of the most beautiful but very quiet beaches with great snorkeling opportunities (turtles!). Theresa and her husband were very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay! Thank you again, Eva, Gereon and Laura

Small but cute. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Property needs maintenance. Kitchen needs more cooking supplies. Restaurants on the island are very very expensive so eating at the cottage was a must for us. And it’s not a five minute walk to the beach!

Great location for our beach vacation!

My wife and I spent 11 wonderful days at Theresa and Andrew’s ocean sounds cottage. The cottage is exactly as described and had everything we needed. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable! It’s central location is perfect for exploring the island from Lighthouse beach to Harbour Island. Or just a 10 minute walk down the hill to the beautiful Twin coves beach. We thoroughly enjoyed a surprise delivery from Andrew of fresh coconut water. We also enjoyed our chats with Theresa when visiting the Tea Kettle.

Great base of operations

One can easily get to the beautiful Twin Cove Beach by car. Theresa and Andrew were very helpful and friendly and invited us to sample her delicious Conch Fritters. The grounds surrounding our sweet cottage were quietly cared for by Andrew on a daily basis. Flowering bushes highlighted the garden. The cottage was clean, efficient, and simple with all our needs met. We were able to explore several beaches nearby and sample some of the local restaurants.

Disconnect in paradise

We had the best vacations of our lives in Elutheura at Theresa and Andrew guest house. The pictures don't make it justice. The garden is manicured daily by Andrew. The guest house has all you need. The location can't be beat to explore the island and run quick errands. And it's super quiet and private. It feels like a dream. Thank you for your hospitality Theresa and Andrew

A little slice of peace!

Had a wonderful stay in the cottage of Theresa and Andrew. The cottage had everything I needed, small kitchen where I made my breakfast in the morning and a nice little patio area to sip my morning tea before hitting the beach. The cottage is in easy walking distance to Twin Coves beach, my all around favourite beach, so it was nice to be able to get up in the morning and simply slip on my bathing suit and walk to the beach. The cottage is located just outside of Governor's Harbour, you probably could walk but it would be a bit of a walk in the heat. But Theresa and Andrew have cars available to rent which I'd recommend to go explore the island and all the beautiful beaches you will have to yourself. A visit to Harbour Island is also a nice way to spend a day which is about 40min north by car. The cottage is in a great central location to explore north and south of the island and Theresa and Andrew are the perfect host! And if you're lucky you'll get some of Andrew's yummy soursop fruit mixture. Thanks Theresa and Andrew for being such great hosts. Can't wait to visit again!

Garden Vacation

Being an avid gardener I very much enjoyed seeing all the fruit trees and flowering plants around the cottage, and having extensive conversations with Andrew about gardening challenges in Eleuthera. The owners were very personable and happy to provide information about the island, life in the Bahamas, and island history.

Just What We Needed

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Theresa and Anthony’s cottage. The space was perfect for the two of us. It was a short drive to Twin Bay. There were only a couple of other people there. We loved the Buccaneer Restaurant in downtown Governer’s Harbor. We also enjoyed Rainbow Bay. They have covered area and picnic tables. Snorkeling around the rocks was lots of fun. We are already planning our next stay in this beautiful paradise.

Lovely Cottage and Hosts

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Ocean Sounds cottage for a week while on vacation on Eleuthera. Very charming, cozy place. Hosts Theresa and her husband Andrew were great. Very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is small, ibut it was perfect for my girlfriend and me. Andrew brought us some fresh cut coconuts and pomegranates from his trees and spent some time answering our questions about the island. Great experience. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect place to stay!!!

We extended our vacay and found Theresa and Andrew Burrows Ocean Sounds cottage. The place was perfect for us!! Theresa and Andrew are excellent hosts. The cottage was very clean, the AC cold, and the pics from the rental were exactly as presented. Andrews garden is beautiful!! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Best vacation to date !

The property is in a great location to explore both north and south parts of the island. There’s plenty to do close to the cottage also, twin coves beach, cocodimama beach, French leaves beach and Governor’s harbor to name a few. The hosts were incredible, both Andrew and Theresa made us feel right at home. What can I say ?? BEST VACATION TO DATE !!

Relaxing stay

The Burrows family is so welcoming and accommodating. From the pick up and return to the airport, they were available and willing to make our visit as pleasant as could be. Theresa had great ideas for places to visit and Andrew was a wealth of historical background on the Bahamas. If you get a chance, meet some of their family. So delightful. Andrew shared fruit from his trees and so fresh. You won't regret this relaxing and warm environment.

Stunning

Never in my dreams would my bucket-list trip to Eleuthera be so incredible. Theresa, Andrew and entire family are lovely, inclusive, kind and caring. Twin Coves beach is everything, pictures are spot on. The cottage is on their property, as a single woman traveler it was perfect for me. Property is amazing! Coconut, guava, papaya trees, which they gladly share! Let's not forget the yummy cherry tomatoes, thanks Andrew, ate those at the airport! Use their cars! Loved the tiny bug Diahutsu, great mileage and awesome on the challenging roads. You definitely need an all wheel drive. The Burrows' family is everywhere on the island, check out Blue Seahorse for gorgeous jewelry. Thank you family, hope to return at least next year! Blessings and love!

Stunning

Theresa and Andrew are wonderfull people and very accommodating, there property is central to the south and north. Take the time to drive to both ends and see everything there is to see in between. Snorkling at twin coves or French leave Beach was great. Be sure to head to Surfers Beach even if your not surfing. We had an amazing time to say the least. 1648 restaurant just south of the cottage was our favorite place to eat.
