Unit 302 at The Highlands of the Smokies is a brand-new luxury Smoky Mountain Vacation Condo Rental that is sure to be a hit with your friends and family. With top-of-the-line amenities and gorgeous views of Mount Le Conte & downtown Gatlinburg, you won’t want to leave! This gorgeous condo offers accommodations for up to 6 guests and is centrally located, just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg.

From the moment you enter this two-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury condo, you’ll be awestruck by the spectacular views of the Smokies coming in through the wall of windows. This condo features an open floor plan with comfortable sofas, a gas fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, with seating for 6 seats at the bar, a spacious kitchen, a private balcony (perfect for morning coffee or an evening wine down), and 9-10-foot-high ceilings.

Preparing a meal in this unit is as easy as 1-2-3. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and more. Featuring a large granite countertop, modern lighting, stainless steel appliances, and ample counter space, it’s perfect for creating a culinary experience for you and your family/friends to enjoy.

This single-level vacation rental boasts two king bedrooms each with its own en suite bathroom. Each bathroom features a custom tile shower, and double vanities and the master includes a soaking tub.

Sit out on the private balcony chairs and relax in the crisp mountain air before you start your day. The balcony is equipped with comfortable seating to enjoy the mountain views and the Ober Mountain tram making its way up and down the mountain.

I highly recommend this place if you are searching for for something a little more upscale vs the average cabin rental, which are a dime a dozen around town.

The staff is friendly very helpful, and the pool/hot tub are at the correct temperature. There is nothing better than waking up with a fresh pot of coffee and sitting on the porch overlooking downtown and the mountains. I grew up coming here with my parents and now get to enjoy it with my kids.The kids also loved the establishment and were excited to see bears that walk near the property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying that we left already planning to come back. The property is beautiful, new, and well taken care of. The view of the mountain is breathtaking and the huge windows made it possible to really take in the view to the fullest. There was some construction materials in the back of the property that was an eyesore but honestly not a big deal to us. Close to many attractions and there’s just so much to do, wish we could have stayed longer!

Incredible condo with an even better view

Reviewer Comments: We stayed 9 nights in November and the new condos are Beautiful and worth every penny you will spend for you vacation an owner of multiple small businesses we always try to give fair but honest reviews whether good or bad. The condos which have been recently rebuilt are Beautiful. They are all outfitted with the newest and most up to date appliances and furnishings which are very beautiful and comfortable. Everything you need for your stay can definitely be found within your condo. The only complaints that we had is that the condo did not have any blinds or drapery in the living room which made for some very warm mornings with the sun coming up and on till later in the day. It’s almost impossible to sit on the sofa during that time because it’s so hot and so bright. I can’t imagine trying to sit in there during the summer months with no window coverings. We truly hope that the owners or management will greatly consider fixing this issue soon. Other than that we highly recommend the Highlands for you vacation stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were slightly disappointed in the condo. The pool, hot tub, firepit, meeting room were very delightful. The condo was nice if we were looking for an industrial feel for our stay. Could not stay in the living room as it was too hot when the sun shone in during the morning and early afternoon (no shade), the closet rods were too high to hang any clothes and there were no hangers. The ceilings, too large of rooms, no table (some of us cannot sit on stools), patio outside bedroom was not conducive to sitting with only two chairs and when someone in the bedroom resting or sleeping, kitchen appliances were very nice - when letting people know of your "amenities" be sure and let them know you only provide one roll of toilet paper for 6 people, one dishwashing tab for only one time use, and the shampoo provided is only good for one use. No salt or any other staple available. There was nothing that made it feel welcoming and cozy for a mountain stay. Very industrial and cold, nothing warm except for the cleaning personnel who were very friendly and helpful if needed. Will we return? After having been there in the original condos for several years and enjoying the welcoming feel and comfort of it, we probably will not return.

While we understand everyone has their own perspective, we feel confident in the mountain modern experience we’ve worked so hard to create throughout the complex. We appreciate your feedback and want to share that we’ve already ordered blinds for the living room windows—a project we identified as a need shortly after opening. Regarding dining arrangements, our two-bedroom units feature bar seating for six, as clearly shown and noted in our advertisements. Our three-bedroom units include both a dining table and bar seating, which is also specified in our listings. All of our rentals come equipped with a starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper (4 rolls), paper towels, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, and hand soap. As outlined in our policies, guests are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed beyond the starter items. We take great pride in creating an upscale, welcoming atmosphere in every unit, and we hope our efforts are reflected in the experiences of our guests. Thank you again for your input!

Lovely, but a few issues

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I recently stayed at Highlands. It is a beautiful and modern condo complex that was built recently after the prior place was lost to the fires a few years ago. The property is really nice, with sleek decor and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and everything feels fresh and new. The condo was clean, the showers are nice and provide a really nice hot shower, the kitchen was nice with new appliances, the laundry machines are full sized, and the fireplace in the living room provided some much needed heat during the cold. The location is great – it’s about 10 minutes from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains National Park. There is no grill and the only hot tub is outdoors by the pool, so the units don’t each have their own. They provide starter essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dish detergent, but be prepared to purchase extras if you might need them. We also purchased pump hand soap because they provided bar soap, but no soap dishes. It's a small detail, but having to place wet soap directly on the counter was less than ideal for a place of this price and caliber. They also only provided one luggage rack for the entire two-bedroom condo which was a miss. We were pulling things from other rooms to put our luggage on and that’s not ideal.The main issue we had was that they are building a 2nd building right outside of where our room was located. Construction began early every morning—before sunrise. We mentioned that this was a problem while on vacation to the team working and we were told that it’s just the way it is. No one reached out to us to discuss it and that was very disappointing. The noise disrupted our sleep and made it hard to relax. As you can imagine, that was a significant detractor from an otherwise enjoyable stay.Overall, the Highlands has a lot of potential, and I think these issues are

Regarding your concern about the luggage rack, there are actually two luggage carts available on the property for guests, as well as a grill located by the firepits for your use. We appreciate you bringing up the issue with the soap dishes, and we will certainly take that into consideration for future updates. We understand how the construction noise was a challenge, and we sincerely apologize for the disruption it caused. Unfortunately, the construction happening across the road is out of our control, and we cannot make adjustments to that.
