Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 PM.
Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Occupancy is limited to 6 persons (two per bedroom) per Dare County septic regulations.
Indoor Community Pool is managed by the HOA. Dates are subject to change without notice. Expected pool opening dates for 2025 - May 15 - Oct 15.
This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Currituck Sound Sanctuary

This Condo was perfect for our family as it continues to grow. We used it as an additional home since we own a home just a few blocks away. Everything inside was clean, neat and the home is well kept. We hope to rent it again next year.

Nice and convenient to everything. Cleanliness could be a little better. Dead cricket in closet and alot of dust under downstairs master bed along with doghair.But overall nice. There is an electrical problem in the downstairs kids bathroom. The light fixtures above the sink do not work very very dim and then flash.

The condo is very nice in a good location close to the sound. We had magnificent sunsets each night! The master bedroomhas a really comfy bed. My 8 year old loved swimming in the pool every day. The condo has plenty of room and was very clean. The condo technically isn’t far from the beach, however Vacasa (the booking agent) was unable to provide parking passes for the private beach access. The closest public beach access is down in Kitty Hawk. No big deal for us at all but worth mentioning as you would need to drop your stuff then walk /ride a bike back). Overall a great stay for a family of 4.

Great location

This was a wonderful location to stay. We were about halfway between all of the attractions we wanted to see. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough hours in the day to see everything we wanted to. The parking situation was not all that great. When we arrived a rental next door was having a party and all of the spots were taken up by those people. It was great to have a full kitchen and 3 full bathrooms to use. Warning about the master bathroom…make sure you put towels down on the floor because there isn’t a shower curtain or door and the floor got soaked while showering. The pool is an indoor pool and the water was quite cold. If you are bringing a dog, be aware of burrs in the “grass”. They are tricky to remove from their pads. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. Very quiet neighborhood. Oh and if you ask if they have a kuerig machine and an iron and ironing board and they answer no, that is false. The home is equipped with those items. We are already planning our next trip and might possibly stay at this location again. But we might try to find another location that has an outdoor pool instead.

I would stay away from any Vacasa property. Unfortunately I didn't know this property was managed by a third party and not the owner. I had so many challenges communicating with Vacasa before arriving as each time I had a question, a different customer service agent would respond. I was given the option to add a day to the end of my stay. When I inquired about adding the open day ahead of my scheduled stay I was told the optional day stay is offered through an automatic system and not something Vacasa can offer. They didn't know the OBX area and gave me so many conflicting answers. So many problems with this property. This listing needs to be more specific about this property. This property does NOT have access to Duck beaches. There is only ONE pool (indoor only) and it happened to be in need to repair so it was closed. The property itself is in need of repair: broken ice maker, broken washer, broken toilet seat cover, dead roaches, rusty nails on deck, dirty and in need of deep cleaning, ill-equipped kitchen (no sheet pans, storage containers), and overall an old property that isn't well managed by Vacasa.

Great Getaway

We stayed here 3 nights for my nephew's wedding. It has plenty of room and the beds slept great. It was cold and windy on our weekend so we didn't get to try out the pool and other shared amenities. We didn't feel like we were on top of other people in the condo. It is spacious between the condos. We would use this condo again for a stay at the Outer Banks.

Ok home

Master bedroom and bathroom were the best part of this house. Our teens loved the loft too. Although it was clean the rest of the house needs to be updated. Couch in the living room is too small to relax and be comfortable. There’s a TV in the living room and the loft. When both are on you can hardly hear what you’re watching. Overall, the home was okay.

Cockroaches were on the walls of the condo!

Cockroaches are on the walls of the condo. Not what we wanted to see! Also the master bed was so uncomfortable we ended up leaving two days early because we couldn't get any sleep.

Great stay!

Everything was wonderful! The place was very clean. It’s in a good location. I wish it were a little closer to the beach, but we threw everything and everyone in the truck and dropped it off at the beach then one of us drove the truck back to the condo and walked back down. It wasn’t a big deal. The kitchen had everything that we needed for cooking, just added food! Another unit owner in this building gave their renters access to the garage and the use of bicycles, kayaks and other recreational gear. That would have been awesome if our unit offered that also, but sadly, it did not. I’d have even been willing to pay extra for the use of those things. There were plenty of towels and extra sheets, pillows and blankets for everyone. Overall, the place was very comfortable and clean! Thank you!

5+ stars!

If we could give this lovely place more than 5 stars, we would! Very well located within walking (or super short driving) distance to the beach, the sound, and the heart of Duck, one of the best spots in the OBX. On the inside, the place was very clean, spacious, and exactly as described/appears in pictures, if not even roomier. Plenty of space, very comfortable, and a great place for a vacation. Finally, the hosts were amazing. Very easy to get in contact with and very helpful. Gave us advice as if we’re people they’ve known for years! Highly recommend and looking forward to being back next year.
