The host was terrific! As a first time rental home vacationer, we did not exactly know what to expect when we booked the property. Thankfully, the host answered my questions and was very pleasant about it too! Our family, 6 adults, thought the house was very cozy and clean! It had everything we needed to get a good night’s rest…the 3 bathrooms were extremely useful…and the kitchen included everything we needed for our stay. All in all, we had a great time together as a family, and this rental played an important role as we had a clean and a safe place to stay!

Terrific Stay!

Terrific place to stay, even for two families! My favorite room was the converted garage into a bedroom; It was very nicely done, it was comfortable and warm, even in January when I stayed. The other bedrooms were also immaculate, and beds very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

This particular VRBO isn’t just nice, but it saved me. I was visiting for a work trip and the initial placed i booked was a scam. Thankfully I got refunded, and customer service helped a lot.The only problem is that same day/next day bookings are not allowed. Great Place to stay

It was nice to have three bathrooms given three sets of couples staying at the house. Clean house in a good locations. The owners were easy to contact and communicate with.

Great place for a reunion

We had 5 women in their 80s who gathered to enjoy Bay Area excursions. The location provided enough bedrooms and easy proximity to freeways and the amenities we needed. One suggestion: leave instructions on how to work the TV!

Just ok

Pros:I appreciated that the space had four bedrooms, and was well located in San Jose for a nearby graduation ceremony. 3 of the bedrooms were nice.Cons:One of the bedrooms is a converted garage & was not renovated well. The shower leaks and there is an open hole near the shower stall. There are no handrails coming out of the bathroom which is two large steps up from the living space. We were fine but by seems a little unsafe. There’s a door leading to the side yard in this room as well. It is only suitable for adults.The kitchen did not have many basics for cooking (including no Tupperware or foil /plastic bags to save food) and they didn’t have extra garbage bags. It was a fine place but didn’t feel like it was reasonably priced given the issues.

The garage room is actually a favorite among guests for its extra space, but I understand it may not suit everyone’s preferences. Regarding the kitchen supplies, we provide the essentials for cooking, but items like Tupperware and plastic bags aren’t typically included in a vacation rental—this is a getaway spot, not a fully stocked home pantry! As for trash bags, we supplied two full 40-gallon bins, which seems plenty for a two-day stay. Good not Great

Booked for 5 adults but 2 canceled. I thought I was going to be baking for a baby shower and this kitchen appeared to have what I needed. Pros: bedrooms are adequate size with good closets. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen appliances were great. There were roasting pans and baking sheets and plenty of cooking utensils. No mixer or blender. Good parking. The location was excellent as far as easy access to shopping and the freeway. Cons: there were only 6 drinking glasses and they had a blue coating that flaked off when washing/ drinking. There were a few wine glasses that we used until we got plastic cups. There were no storage containers for leftovers. No measuring cups or pitcher to pour water in the coffee maker. The only staples in the kitchen was salt and pepper, coffee supplies. Only 1 tv. Stained rug and stool in LR. No drawers in the bedrooms. The two en-suite bathrooms are very tight and have no counter space. The 3 of us used the main bathroom which had a nice deep tub but could use a grab bar for safety. Communication with the host was excellent. Allison was quick to respond when we had an issue with the water heater. However, the very old water heater was leaking and the pilot went out. There was standing water in the pan, on the floor, and severely corroded pipes. The water had been there awhile as there were gnats in the utility closet. It needs to be replaced immediately. There is a small yard but no furniture to sit on.

The water heater replacement has already been scheduled, and we're upgrading our kitchen cooking sets to include more essentials like a blender, mixer, storage containers, and additional glasses. As for the coffee maker, it's designed for convenience where guests can use a coffee mug to pour water in, but I’ll make sure to clarify that in the instructions for future guests. We also appreciate your feedback on the stained rug and stool, and we'll be replacing those shortly. While the en-suite bathrooms are cozy, we’ll explore options to improve counter space and safety features, such as adding a grab bar to the main bathroom. My understanding is that the owner is not local (12 hours difference in time) and the property manager is not fulfilling their obligations. Upon arrival and a quick review of the property, I communicated some concerns to Allison who got back to me very quickly. I took pictures of the concerns and sent them along with my additional comments. Unfortunately, the promised response from Allison was not forthcoming during our entire stay. A stark contrast to the previous visit to another property in 2024 in the same neighborhood. Upon departure, I followed up with Allison recounting our conversations and my suggestions on how she could update her accommodations to satisfy discerning renters.
Area rug in master bedroom. Should have been cleaned or replaced.
Dryer lint left from multiple uses.
Bathroom vents should have been cleaned.
