This place was awesome. It's basically an in-law sweet attached to the back of the house so you go in through the side to the backyard. Size of the unit was perfect for 2 people. We were greeted with wine and some snacks when we got into the unit and there were a lot of bathroom amenities available. It's a block away from all of the fun stuff on Congress Ave such as Allen's Boots, Torchy's Tacos, and a bunch of bars and restaurants including breakfast spots. Being able to wake up and walk a block to grab coffee or matcha tea was so nice. Prime location and it was easy to get around to everything we needed. I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm in Austin.

The little things make a big difference

Loooooved our stay! Would love to stay again, the room so clean and tidy and smells so good!I was so excited to see cotton buds in the bathroom!And needed the aloe Vera lotion, it was there, and a band aid, it was all there. This stay felt so homely and it was in such close proximity to south congress but was so quiet of a night time. Thank you for having us we loved it!

Perfect location

The owners went above and beyond with supplying everything you could possibly need. Beer and wine upon arrival along with nuts/candy, coffee/tea pods, creamer and lots of essentials if needed. The mattress was amazing along with wonderful bedding. We hope to stay here again when we return.

A Writer's Retreat

I can't say enough good things! First, the host graciously bailed me out of a mess because of a mistake I made on my reservation. Second, this was the most hospitality I've experienced with a VRBO rental. Everything I could possibly need was provided, and then there was extra, like Shiner beer and wine! Everything was presented in a lovely way, which made me feel special. While the room is attached to a house, it felt incredibly private. The neighbors were very quiet, too. I went to Austin to attend the Austin Film Festival, and it was not what I anticipated. By day 3, I opted out and spent the weekend secluded in this beautiful, peaceful VRBO. I'm a writer, so I worked on my 3rd novel (at the desk provided), watched tv, and relaxed on the deck. A block away is a Tiny Grocer with a wonderful deli and freshly baked goods. If ever I return to Austin, this is where I will stay!

Beautiful Property

Best VRBO stay ever. Room was beautiful and Barbara thought of everything to make it comfortable. Thoughtful touches with coffee, snacks, beer and wine. She was very responsive to any questions and the location is perfect for walking and exploring the SOCO area. Can’t wait to return!

Great neighborhood, super comfy room

We had a perfect stay. The room has warm and cosy atmosphere. It has its own entrance. It was large, super clean, with a cool bathroom, comfortable bed, coffee and other amenities… way beyond our needs. The location is indeed unbeatable. Very quiet but close to many restaurants, bars, and trendy shops. Hosts wrote down a useful list of recommended places nearby. The "Car pass" for the resident-only street parking was a real advantage, we could park anytime in front of the house. Austin is a great city, South congress is for sure one of its best part.

Cute Venician style guest house

Super cutely furnished guest home was perfectly located for my needs on this trip. It’s super close to congress and tons of great restaurants, it was walking distance to most of what I wanted to check out. Barbra was quick to respond and answer any questions I had and seemed kind when I meet her briefly.

Nice place

Prime location close to S. Congress Ave. Well appointed room with deluxe bathroom. Room has mini-fridge, microwave & hot plate. Complimentary bottles of red & white wine, sparkling water, couple beers, dishes of candy & mixed nuts were very nice. Plenty of towels, wash cloths, glassware, paper products & toiletries. Wonderful lodging experience.

Lovely accommodations, well thought out arrangement for a small space. Had everything we needed and a few unexpected treats. Hosts were quick to respond to questions and provided helpful insight to enjoying local attractions. Perfect stay for the couple that wants to stay close to the action yet have a quiet retreat to return to.

Simply wonderful!

I can’t say enough about this place. Great location, close to everything and very walkable. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated. So many thoughtful extras that I’ve never experienced in any other place I’ve stayed. Shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, shaving cream….all top of the line. The host, Barbara, registered our car so we could park on the street with no worries. Ample street parking and it’s only one block from Congress and it’s just the perfect location. That area rocks. So many great shops and restaurants. Loved it. Plus you have your own thermostat and ceiling fan. Barbara even left us a bottles of wine and a few beers in the refrigerator. Even though she respected our privacy I would’ve loved to meet her. My kind of lady. Thank you for a man unforgettable trip to Austin. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed being a short walk from the house to get to great food and shops on South Congress. The room was well equipped and even came with beer and wine!

We wanted to be in SoCo for our Austin trip and had a rental car with us so this place was perfect! Barbara and Robert were extremely responsive and welcoming hosts (emailing them and receiving replies within minutes when required!). As soon as you walk into their private suite, you know they are serious about making sure their guests feel comfortable from the get-go and have everything they need. It feels so refreshing to experience this level of service and have all the amenities available. From the ease of the parking pass to the well-equipped room (cleaning, cooling, food prep and clothes maintenance items), I would not even hesitate to pick this place again to stay in. Location-wise, you can't beat it. A 12ish minute drive from the airport and you're a quick 7 mins walk away from the SoCo food staples like Hopdoddy burgers, Torchy's Tacos (5 min walk), Homeslice pizza and other boot/hat/clothing stores. Thank you once again to Barbara and Robert for making our stay in Austin a comfortable and memorable one.

Great stay

This is probably the best VRBO we have stayed in and we are frequent users. Basically one room, but so much to offer. Hostess has almost anything you might need plus extras. She was readily available for any questions or concerns. The deck was great. Great location. Will book again if we return to Austin.

Home Away From Home

We have stayed at a lot of great VRBO’s but this one was exceptional. Roomy, comfortable, clean, great amenities, and lots of extras that made you feel like you were staying with friends or family. Owner was super nice and accomodating. Location was great. Literally steps from S Congress. Perfect!
