This house has everything. The Ranch style house is located in the heart of the Adirondack mountains on Lake Vanare and is 5 minutes from Lake George and 20 minutes from Saratoga Race Track and Casino.

The house comes with, AC, Free Wi-Fi, complete kitchen with Dishwasher, Streaming TV, DVD, W/D, beachfront with a fire pit, kayaks, a large deck with a BBQ Grill and sitting area overlooking the water. We provide all of the bed linens and towels.

Whether you are a couple seeking a romantic getaway, a small/large family or a group of friends you are all welcome. We are happy to host weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats. (Additional Fee and prior approval for large groups/events)
Enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks, go fishing, hiking, swimming, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, bird watching, parasailing, experience the flat or harness track or sit by your own private campfire. The choice is all yours!!!!!

Inquire about our business relationships for possible discounts and preferential treatment for certain attractions, events and local eateries. Also, ask about our last-minute deals, off-peak stays, and military discounts.

The house was beautiful and unique with a great lake view. We had fun on the kayaks and paddle boat. We swam, fished and had campfires on the beach. There were lots of games and a pool table for game nights. We enjoyed going to Saratoga Racetrack and Lake George which are nearby.

We had the most incredible time in this amazing house! It was so clean and comfortable. We loved spending time out on the amazing deck overlooking the beach and lake. Shooting pool every night was so much fun! Great family bonding time. So many great pictures and memories. We didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait until next time. We’ll definitely be back!!!

We are a family of 6 with a dog and all 7 of us had a great time! The house is huge and plenty of amenities if it rains. We used the pool table nightly and the kids enjoyed the PS5! The property out back offers a peaceful and beautiful sandy beach area to enjoy the lake. The kayaks were also heavily utilized. And if all that isn’t enough, Shawn was extremely attentive and available for any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this property and we will be back in the future years to come! Awesome little vacation

We absolutely loved our stay at ADK Candyland! The views were stunning and the property was large and gave each of us our own space when needed, but was also perfect when we all wanted to be together. . The host was super responsive and made checking in a breeze. The lake was perfect for swimming and kayaking, and evening fires. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, from comfy beds to a fully stocked kitchen. Can't wait to come back! 10/10 would recommend

Such a unique and beautiful home in a beautiful and private location on the lake. Has everything you could possibly need. I’d give it a 5-star if it weren’t for the fact that “hot tub” was selected as an amenity for this property. There is no hot tub. There is a beautiful jacuzzi tub in the master bath. Misled us a little as we were looking forward to an actual hot tub. The owner was very attentive and helpful!

WONDERFUL WEEK ON LAKE VANARE

Our family of 6 one dog spent an entirely enjoyable week at Candyland. Even though the weatherman predicted showers and thunderstorms for some/most of the week, we had a beautiful sunny week with only a five minute shower one day and a thunderstorm late in the evening on another. This truly unique home was meticulous. It had all the essentials that we needed. We enjoyed the backyard lake where we fished and were able to catch a few small mouth bass. The kayaks and the double pedal boat were fun. The massage chair was relaxing and we all enjoyed playing several rounds of pool on the pool table. Shawn, the owner, was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Great fun week!

Enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed this unique house. Very spacious and just as pictured. Right on the lake, with boats, firepit, and our own private beach. Our kids loved the house! Would definitely stay again!

A Great Weekend Getaway

This was a great spot for my husband and I, our two teenagers, and two of their friends to spend a long fun, relaxing weekend. Plenty to do and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The property was exactly as advertised and exceptionally clean, and Shawn was always accessible to answer any questions.

Great place right on the lake!

What a view in the morning and loved the proximity to Lake George without the hustle and bustle. Fun time fishing and canoeing and the pool table came in handy when the weather didn't cooperate. And Shawn was very responsive and helpful. Will stay there again.

Great property and beautiful location!

We had a great time staying at this property. The house was beautiful, very clean and well appointed. We couldn’t have asked for more! The view is spectacular and it was great having the dock, beach and canoe/kayak. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions. We would love to visit again next summer!

Great house for hosting

Really great and large home for hosting a gathering. Master bedroom is huge and the living area is also incredibly spacious. Shawn was a fantastic host and even mailed us a bathing suit we had left accidentally. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Shawn's place!

Perfect spot, good value

This is our second time renting this house and it’s perfect. We plan our trip around a day at the racetrack and it’s an easy drive there. The house is enormous with very unique furnishings and decor which we enjoy. Took the canoe out this morning for a nice end to a relaxing weekend!

Great spot!

Spent 3 nights here and had a very pleasant and relaxing experience. House was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Everything was as advertised. WiFi was excellent. Communication from Shawn before and during our stay was very helpful and appreciated. Easy drive into the village of Lake George, but we spent most of our time at the property.

Excellent family/friend getaway

We absolutely loved our stay. This house was off a main road but tucked away enough to feel remote. Having access to a canoe, kayak, and row boat were perfect for daily outings on the lake. This house is very family friendly - we travelled with 2- 2 year olds and were not worried about safety issues at all. Shawn was very helpful with the entire process and checked in with us to make sure everything was going great. Highly recommend!
