Welcome to this gateway to tranquility! So close to many nature trails, tennis and pickleball courts, golf courses, outlet shopping, fine dining, water amenities, and just right for your private getaway for relaxation, milestone celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, engagements, etc.) or impactful corporate and leadership retreats. Embrace nature, disconnect from urban life, and recharge!

All the comforts of home are available in this well-appointed, 4-bedroom, 3 full bath home with two walk-in showers, stainless steel modern appliances, and wi-fi. Linens, Dishes, Silverware, Glassware, Cookware, small hand-held appliances and two smart TV's are included for your enjoyment.
Spacious deck, patios and yard are great for nature watching, stargazing and outdoor dining -- propane gas grill included.

This was our second time spending Thanksgiving week at Woodland Retreat. We appreciate the overall cleanliness of the house. All the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The primary suite has plenty of room for baby’s portable crib. The downstairs bonus room is ideal for family movie night. The hosts are very kind and quick to respond to any questions.

Everything was exactly as described on the listing. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, all while being close to a charming town. The hosts were very pleasant and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this place!

The Woodland Retreat property was quiet and a good location for our fall golf trip. All beds comfortable and the place was very clean. Good hot water for showering and plenty of towels / linens. The Owner was very responsive to all questions we had prior to checkin and during our stay. The Wifi worked well. This is a heavily wooded area and we enjoyed using the firepit and grill. Plenty of room to park if multiple parties are involved. While not real close to many restaurants most will deliver and we opted for this. A nice secluded getaway.

Our family came for a wedding on Kent Island and had a wonderful time at this location! The property was beautiful inside and out, tucked quietly away from busy streets - very peaceful, immaculate, and relaxing! Lou and Shelly were absolutely excellent hosts and we greatly appreciated them!

Beautiful, peaceful house in a quiet neighborhood. Great location for our son's wedding weekend, close to all venues. It was perfect having two levels of bedroom so everyone could enjoy their privacy. House was very clean and well stocked.

Thanksgiving week at Woodland Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodland Retreat. Even in November we were able to enjoy the beautiful backyard. We cooked dinner on the grill and had s’mores while enjoying the fire pit. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the whole house and the comfortable beds. The woodland setting is private but convenient to shopping,etc. Hosts are very kind and quick to respond to any questions.

Great Home on Eastern Shore

Shelley & Lou were awesome hosts! Everything was immaculate and welcoming. It was like staying at a friends home. Close to restaurants and shopping, and peaceful at the same time. Had two places for entertaining and a big outdoor space to entertain as well. We will be back next year!

Naval Academy Graduation

Our family was in the area for the Naval Academy graduation so the weekend was somewhat a reunion as well. Many positives: Location, small touches like bottle of wine and two Navy mugs as gifts, cleanliness and proximity to the grocery. The only negative was that the two bedrooms on the upper floor never got cool. A portable air conditioner or window unit would be helpful. We weren’t even there in the heat of the summer. Being more specific in the description on VRBO. Thank you for the use of this lovely home in a lovely setting!

Your hosts resided on the property for approximately 25 years before downsizing for retirement. Family and friends enjoyed being entertained on the property and consistently recommended that they be allowed to vacation there. Our grandkids have so many special memories from family Easter dinners and egg hunts, family reunions, backyard tea parties, camping in the front and back yards, fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, steaming and eating crabs, hosting barbeques and fish fry fundraisers, and so much more. We enjoy hosting guests who want their privacy but not isolation. If we can assist you in hosting a special event, please let us know.

We chose this neighborhood more than 25 years ago as our primary residence and in 2023 decided to invite others to enjoy the beautiful views of this wooded setting. Our neighbors are very kind and respectful but enjoy their privacy and the quiet! Nature is the loudest sound!!

This vibrant community is in close proximity to other dining, entertainment and cultural destinations such as downtown Annapolis, Baltimore, Easton, Cambridge, Chestertown, and Centerville, MD; to name just a few.

This home is set-up for remote office work, including desk and office chair, wi-fi, 17-inch monitor (HDMI cable not included). There are two Smart-tvs and exterior video surveillance.

This home is close to many outdoor activities: biking, nature trails, boating/fishing charters, fine and casual dining, public golf course, skateboarding, community beach, wineries, breweries, museums, outlet shopping, and within 5 miles of premiere wedding and conference venues.

This is a great location for quiet walks, napping on the deck or patio, watching the sunset, and stargazing at night.

In this small rural Kent Island enclave there are no two homes alike.
