The owner is nice and welcoming. The house is in a great location. It is an easy walk to everything in town. And it is across the street from a paved trail that sees a lot of use by walkers, joggers, and bikes. The house was perfect for my family which is a mix of young married adults, grand parents, and one grandchild. It was a little odd that the owner lived in the basement and stayed onsite during our rental of the property. I don’t recall reading that in the property details at the time I booked the place. It ended up not posing any issues for us but was a bit of a surprise. The house actually has five bedrooms, but the owner only rents it as a four bedroom and asked that we not use the fifth bedroom. The house is showing some wear and tear but everything worked. The floors and carpets could have been cleaner, especially because my two year old grand daughter plays on them. We enjoyed the deck, grill, and backyard fire pit. We enjoyed how close we were to nature even though we were so close to town. Elk grazed in the front yard and bedded down in the neighbors yard, which we could view from the windows of the house and from the deck. We heard coyotes calling at night. We could not see them but they sounded very close. There are many warnings about bears around town. We did not see any but precautions included depositing garbage in bear safe trash cans down the street. There’s no outside trash cans at this house or neighboring houses. Overall, we had a great stay here.
