The condo was very comfortable for our stay and we had everything needed to help our stay including ironing board and a couple of hair dryers…which came in handy for our group getting ready to attend our grandson’s beach wedding. Family members even talked about getting together for another outing.

Ac was not working & loud party next door

For 2 days it was over 80 upstairs and took all day after we called to finally get it fixed. Then the next 2 nights loud music and party kept us up way after midnight and woke up the baby. I will not stay at this place again.

Beautiful home, check in instructions need help

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is beautiful and comfortable. We loved all the room, the view and ease of getting to the beach. The pool was great too. Check in process was not great. The instructions say check in begins at 4 which means I should have instructions or an update by 4. I had to reach out when there was no communication and not given a time frame for when I could get into the place. If check in doesn’t actually begin at 4, then that should be explained ahead of time so I don’t have to wait with 15 people outside the unit. We could have planned to do other things if we had known the place wasn’t going to be clean. All we got told was we’ll let you know when it is clean and thanks for your feedback- check in begins at 4 is very ambiguous, does that mean it goes until 10pm as well? That is not great customer service and doesn’t make me want to book with Padre escapes in the future. I would like to check in at 4 or have better communication or be compensated for my time for the late check in. Luckily the home was clean. The only issue we had was one bathroom didn’t have soap and there was no dishwasher soap- if you want us to run the dishwasher when we leave, that should be provided. It would be nice in the future if y’all considered providing beach/pool towels and shampoo/conditioner for your guests. I did know that ahead of time and packed accordingly.

Good location

Great location and lots of room. Biggest issue is the kitchen and living room are on the 3rd floor, away from the backyard (only an issue because we had a dog with us, so constantly going up and down the stairs to let them out). I think that was in the listing but we missed it (our fault). The kitchen was missing a few things such as hot pads to grab hot things out of the oven (we had to use a towel). And very limited dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and paper products for a 5 day stay (when the property emails you before the trip saying to bring your own stuff, they mean it!). I'd recommend bringing more kitchen towels too, as they provided 2 and you go through them quickly.WiFi worked great, lots of TV's with access to Netflix and Disney was great! Very easy walk to the beach (also easy to drive if you need to bring more stuff). Easy check in and check out process.

Birthday Bash

9 of us had a wonderful time together celebrating family birthdays. Each family had their own floor for sleeping. There were several issues with the house. The pocket door to one of the bathrooms would not close and the exterior doors were hard to open and close. The electric plugs on the kitchen bar did not work and the big kitchen clock needed a battery. We were disappointed that we were not informed that the pool was closed since that was a selling point to us because of the kids. The QR code on the frig we were to scan to learn more about the property did not work. Overall we had a great stay and the location was perfect for a great beach vacation.

Hammonds reef

The front door lock didn’t work the first day and we had to call twice to get it fixed. There were roaches in the bottom floor and the lay out of the house was very inconvenient with the kitchen and living in the top floor and the kids room in the room with the front door. The living area need some sort of noise abatement, it is very echoey. The listing said the pool is heated but it definitely was not heated and the supplies for the kitchen were in adequate for a large group staying multiple days. The space in the home and location was great and The kids loved the pirate ship playground.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this location due to its ability to sleep our whole family while we were in town for my mother’s funeral. The location was ideal. With its proximity to the beach, we could easily take a break and relax when needed. Only a couple of suggestions for improvement. The water pressure in the upstairs sinks is very low. Also the pots in the cabinet had to be rewashed. The detergent dispenser in the dishwasher didn’t open, so that is probably the cause - they were likely put away by the cleaning staff directly from the dishwasher and they didn’t realize they were not clean. We had a minor issue with a slow draining shower, but the maintenance team responded quickly and repaired it for us. Thank you for providing our family a peaceful, comfortable place to gather.

It was a very clean house. We definitely enjoyed staying there. We didn’t realize the kitchen was at the top floor until we got there. I’m sure it’s in the description, but I must’ve looked over that. It was very close to the beach. It was very quiet. The neighbors were very nice.! My daughter enjoyed her birthday and we enjoy celebrating it with her. Unfortunately, I left my games there in the game room, but it’s OK. I hope other families can enjoy them.!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We loved our stay for our yearly family vacation. The property management was very easy to get ahold of. One thing was that our check-in time was 4p but we couldn’t enter until 4:20p because they were fixing some things in the house. Not really a big deal. The house was great and we had plenty of room for all 15 of us. The kitchen on the 3rd floor was a little off setting due to we had to hoof a weeks worth of groceries for 15 up the stairs, but the kids helped so we got it done. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. All in all we had a very good time 😊
