Enjoy the beauty of Big Cypress Bayou on Caddo Lake surrounded by Spanish moss draped cypress trees. Conveniently located right off of the river by the Hwy 43 boat ramp. 2 person canoe and 3 kayaks available for use.

Recently updated cozy and comfortable 4 bed/2 bath house walking distance to boat ramp which provides easy access for all boating fun. Lots of room for gathering in the living room or the large kitchen table. Extensive updates includes renovated kitchen with stainless appliances, internal and external lighting and paint, new grill and smokeless solo firepit. Caddo has lots of great fishing holes along the river and across the lake. Slough access to river in rear of house. Perfect for fishermen, water sports enthusiasts and friend group getaways!

With it's warm and welcoming atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings its the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with friends or loved ones and create great memories no matter the occasion. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of the porches then later an evening barbecue with your family and friends. Spend time relaxing on the porches or by the fire pit.

This is by far our favorite property to stay at, at Caddo Lake!! It’s super convenient with our boat, as well as comfortable and stock with all of your needs!! David, the host/owner, is super friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure all needs are met! We look forward to our stay at the river runner every year!!

Appreciated the comfortable furniture for relaxation and watching the World Series Wifi is fast and reliable. A/C and heat worked well (we needed both because of drastic weather change). Location near river and boat ramp convenient. Kitchen had all we needed for cooking. David made sure we got in okay and had all we needed.

Great House!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for a weeks stay! David was very friendly and attentive to every detail! We had a minor issue with the door lock but it was remedied right away!

Fun at the River Runner

Stayed with family in this home away from home. The River Runner had plenty room inside and for outdoor living. We enjoyed how close the backwater was to the house and were able to keep our flat bottom in the water for quick access. A quick boat ride to the lake and more food than we could eat at the Big Pines Lodge. We will be coming back soon!

Spring Break

Really enjoyed our stay at the River Runner this past Spring Break. We had 2 families of 4 and had plenty of room. Was clean and well stocked with whatever you might need to prepare a meal. Brought 2 boats and were able to tie them up without any trouble in the back of the house. Also enjoyed the Solo Fire pit in the evenings. Host, David was very friendly and helpful. Even took us out for a boat tour around the lake which we really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back in the future.

Caddo's Corner of Paradise

Pictures could never capture the perfection of this gem. Extremely helpful, gracious host! Immaculately clean with everything anyone would need to feel right at home. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out with their own space. Dining space for 14 indoor and 10 outdoor. The back decks and use of kayaks and canoe was over the top. We spent the first hour after our 9 hour trip just sitting on the back deck taking in the peaceful serenity. My only worry is that this amazing place will be booked constantly and we will have to fight for our chance to stay again.

Good experience

We had a really unusual experience, but can't say enough good things about the owner, David. The area experienced a really heavy rain the day we arrived, David left his own home early the next morning, which was at risk of being flooded, and came to warn us of flooded roads. We were in danger of being trapped, but thankfully were able to get out in time. David has been super accommodating about working with us to arrange another time to come back and we look forward to returning in the summer. Please don't let the flood story keep you from booking this property. That was just unfortunate timing on our part. The property is very roomy, the kitchen is well furnished, the location is really good, and the owner is as nice as they come. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Thanks Elton. The River Runner has never flooded, as it is on higher ground. It's rare, however some of the low lying roads around Caddo can get covered with water if we get an unusual amount of rain in a short period of time. We've been down here for 4 years and this is only the second time it has happened. A few days later the water has receded and we're good to go. Look forward forward to seeing you guys in June to finish your Caddo stay.

The location was great. It is across the street from the public boat ramp. Also, none of the surrounding houses were occupied. We had our dog with us, and she had plenty of room to walk at the boat ramp area and the street.We planned on cooking all our meals and did bring all the items we would need. The place is totally stocked with pots, pans, an electric griddle, 2 types of coffee pots, etc.There is plenty of room for everyone in the living room and kitchen area. The refrigerator has a working ice maker. Also, there are plenty of spices and coffee pods for the coffee maker. There is a wrap around deck that also faces a small creek that leads into Caddo Lake. There were plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags. towels, and wash clothes. I did bring extras as I've stayed in places that leave minimal paper goods and towels. You may want to bring kleenex. We needed to wash some clothes. The laundry room is stocked with everything you need. It stormed one of the days of our stay, so we were in the house all day. The TV was easy to figure out and we had no issues connecting to the internet. Finally, David is an awesome host. He continually checked on us to make sure everything was going okay. He even suggested a guide to contact for a tour on Lake Caddo. Which we did. It was great.
