Welcome to Gypsy Bay! As a local family that takes pride in providing top tier experiences (Just check out our reviews!), and Gypsy Bay will be that experience for your next visit to Sandbridge!

Nestled along the picturesque bay, Gypsy Bay is a stunning five-bedroom, three-bathroom waterfront home, perfect for family vacations, accommodating up to 14 guests. This charming bungalow features a newly renovated kitchen, complete with modern appliances and a spacious island ideal for entertaining. The open family room flows into a sunlit dining area, where you can enjoy meals with a breathtaking bay view. A convenient coffee and beverage bar, equipped with both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, adds to your comfort. There is a large fenced in yard for your family pets! This space provides a quiet private destination with the utmost privacy on a quiet col-de-sac. The sunset views cannot be beat! Come see it for yourself.

Bedroom Layout:

First Floor: King suite with a scenic view of the bay and pool area, featuring a private bathroom with a shower and single vanity.
Second Floor: Luxurious primary King suite with a glass sliding door that opens to a private deck overlooking the bay, plus a double vanity bathroom. Three additional bedrooms include two King rooms and a bunk room accommodating six, all sharing a bathroom with a double vanity and tub/shower combo.
Outdoor Amenities: Step outside to the private pool deck, where you'll find ample seating for sunbathing and a shaded dining area—perfect for unwinding after a beach day. For indoor fun, the garage recreation room features a full-sized pool table, seating, refrigerator, TV, and bar.

All bedrooms include TVs, while the living room and garage rec room boast large screen TVs. Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi and access to streaming apps, including HGTV, Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video.

For your convenience, a six-seat golf cart is provided to shuttle you to a nearby handicapped-accessible beach access, located just half a mile away. It’s also perfect for trips to the local ice cream shop or donut market!

Adventure Awaits: Fishing enthusiasts can cast a line right from the backyard, and for the more adventurous, Gypsy Bay offers two kayaks for exploration.

We had a great week, enjoyed the pool, kayaking and the views of the bay. Morning coffee on the swing very relaxing and quiet! House very nice, exactly as pictures show. Dave and Mary Ann are great hosts.

Everything was great the only thing is that depending on the weather on being in the bay the bugs sometimes become a lot, the hosts were great and brought over bug zappers that really helped.

Wonderful house with beautiful views. Well equipped kitchen. Hosts were awesome and responded quickly to questions. Only con was bugs and spiders, especially on the front porch. Overall we had a great vacation and would stay again.

The home is beautiful and so very comfortable. The living area was large enough for our entire family to hang yet we felt close together. The backyard is just stunning. The pool overlooking that gorgeous bay was where we spent most of our days. I would gladly rebook in the future!

Our summer 2026 Gypsy Bay stay was phenomenal! Gypsy Bay had everything we needed and then some. The 6 seater Golf cart was amazing and we drove to the market and the local shops everyday. You can also park the golf cart at the beach was was nice to avoid sand in your car. There were TWO King master bedrooms and a huge kitchen with all sorts of useful items. Being in the pool over looking the Back Bay was incredibly beautiful. Our golden doodle had a great time in the big fenced in back yard. If I had to add anything at all it would be a hot tub and heated pool but that didn't keep us from booking again for July 2027!!

We enjoyed staying at this home!! It was clean and well equipped with everything you need. Great for the guys..they could fish right off the property. Golf cart to get to the beach or to get ice cream. Pool was great!! Location was perfect for us.

The views from this property are unbeatable! The pool, golf cart, and pool table made this an incredible vacation spot. It was perfect for our group, the open concept living space gave us plenty of room while allowing us to be together. Dave and Mary Ann were very welcoming and attentive. We truly enjoyed our stay in this house. The house was clean. The view was breathtaking. The amenities were perfect. Lastly The Host and Hostess were extremely responsive. My husband and I took my 93 year old father (in the picture) for a little vacation and TLC.

The views from the property were stunning! The house is located on the bay with a pool in a quite cul-de-sac. The pool was a definite bonus! The property comes with a 6 seater golf cart making getting to the beach very easy. It is dog friendly which was another bonus. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pans, dishes, glasses & silverware - everything we needed. The two beverage refrigerators were very nice to have. The owners Mary Ann & Dave could not been nicer, and communicating with them was outstanding. All my questions were answered quickly. Would definitely stay at Gypsy Bay again.

Family Trip

We enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect for hosting both our families. The golf cart made accessing the beach a breeze. The secure pool area was ideal for our dog, and the kids had a blast on the kayaks. Mary Ann and Dave were excellent to work with, handling all our questions and concerns efficiently.

We had some "blips" when we checked in but Dave came right over to take care of the issues. Mary Ann was great with offering some places to check for goodies for the kids.

The first impression of the front of the house was disappointing. There were dead bugs and cobwebs on the siding and front porch. Once in the house, it was clean and updated. Some of the towel racks were hanging out of the wall so we did not use them. The windows had bugs on them. The back patio needed swept. The pool was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. The batteries in the remote for the fan and light in the one bedroom were dead. We enjoyed our stay and had a good time and the owners were close by and helpful through out our stay.

We are so glad you found us helpful, however, we would have loved a chance to fix the things that you mentioned in your review since we were unaware of them. If you choose to stay with us in the future, no ask is too small! Like you said, we live locally and strive to give our guests the best experience possible. As for the exterior bugs, living by water results in those side effects. While we maintain the interior and exterior of the houses at a high standard, cobwebs and bugs literally appear overnight due to the location and climate here in Sandbridge.

July 4th Family Vacation

This was our first vacation together with extended family, and we created memories that will last a lifetime. While the home was recently remodeled and still had several "punch list" items that will need attending to, the home itself met all our needs and is in a beautiful location on the bay and close to the ocean. Mary Ann was a joy to deal with from booking to departure. The brand new pool and size of the home and property added to the overall excellent experience we had. Along with the golf cart which was a unique feature and a lot of fun! What a special place in Virginia Beach!

This was the perfect house for our family. 10 adults and one Grandbaby. The table was awesome and was used very even eh for family dinners, conversations, laughs and games. The kitchen and family room area were filled with laughter. The pool and the view of the bay was our refuge from the every day . The golf cart was a huge PLUS Andean fun way to get around . Mary Ann and her husband were the BEST- helped us to get in a bit earlier tho we were happy to just sit and enjoy the view. A few minor problems happened and they were a text away and very accommodating. The farm stand down the main road aWas a favorite and don't miss the MEAT SHACK... a most special find. So many memories ...

A week full of memories!

Our group was so impressed with all aspects of this vacation. The ease of travel to and from the location, vibe and views, luck of weather, and the overall house/ its amenities. The owners were immediately responsive and helpful to any questions. The house layout was perfect for our family, giving everyone their own space but also had an awesome open-layout of the upper level where we could all be together. The kitchen was huge and very well stocked; we were able to cook most nights like we prefer. The kids loved the golf cart rides and it was a life-saver bringing groups and stuff to the beach. Our one recommendation would be to have some shade poolside and more amenities for the beach (towels, chairs, sand toys, etc). We flew in and couldn’t bring much. Thank you!! And hope to be back!

This property is so beautiful that we never wanted to leave. Saw less of the beach than we expected as we enjoyed the Bayfront pool, the kayaks and the fishing dock immensely. It was a great gathering space for our multi-family vacation. Communication was always timely and helpful. Still reveling in our wonderful week!
