From the moment we walked in the place felt warm and welcoming. The little attention to detail was commendable. The decorations were obviously changed for the seasons and not static year round. The house was extremely clean and everything was easy to use. The dog area outside was perfect for our pup. And, the view was beautiful. The lake was frozen with a fresh coating of powdery snow on top. Check-in/out was simple and communication with Debbie was quick and responsive. Also, being there in the winter, Mark came by twice to be sure the driveways were plowed and snow was removed from the stoop. You can tell that they are indeed “dog people” as there were little adornments alluding to as much (plus they had food and water bowls in the cupboard - luckily, because we forgot ours).We liked our stay so much that we booked again for a summer trip - see what the warm weather is like. The cold weather was great, and beautiful. But, something tells us that the sun on the water will be amazing! Definitely worth the stay!

We love Wells and the lake. This is pur most recent stay at Northern exposure and as always it was fantastic. Deb is a great hostess, makes sure your needs are met, and theres always a little treat on check in! Cant wait for jext year!

We had a lovely stay at this property. Excellent location, super friendly hosts, well appointed house. Great way to spend some quality time with the family. My 11 & 13 yr old children loved the kayaks! Lots of great options for entertainment - games/puzzles/corn hole. We'll definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Perfect Adirondacks getaway

Our family of 4 pup had a fantastic stay at Deb and Mark’s house - being directly on the lake is perfect for little kids, the location is very convenient to the town (walking distance to store, beach, coffee shop), the house has everything we needed for a longer stay, and our dog had plenty of room to run and swim. We particularly appreciated the screened in porch and the kayaks! Deb and Mark were wonderful hosts and very responsive to every question and need. We are already planning our return!

Beautiful relaxing spacious place!

Great year round place to relax and enjoy nature! Very clean and well kept roomy home with 2 screened in porches and many nice amenities! Very friendly and accommodating hosts who live nearby and are quickly responsive to any needs!

Lake trip 2024

We loved staying at this property. It has an excellent lake location with kayaks and canoes for exploring. The dock is perfect for fishing or relaxing. The house was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Wonderful experience!

Cozy weekend away

We had a very relaxing and cozy weekend sitting by the indoor fire place and doing puzzles. The sun room was nice to sit in and look out at the lake. Perfect place to spend a weekend away by water.

Cozy Cabin

We loved staying here. The place is so cozy for the rainy weather we had. Our favorite part was still the sunroom though! Check in was easy and Debby kept the lights on for us for our late arrival. We would love to come back again!

Lovely Location

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. The lake was beautiful and easily accessible. The nearby sandy beach was a fun bonus. We found the owners to be very responsive and easy to contact. We hope to return in the future.

Fall Escape

Property was better than expected. A peaceful beautiful location. The house was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Mark and Debby were the perfect host, helpful and easy to communicate with. Will definitely return. In the future.

Wonder stay on Lake Algonquin

The house was clean, the hosts were attentive without being intrusive. We loved the location right on the lake. Wells is a quaint little town with multiple hiking options nearby. We will be back.

Lovely, peaceful, clean

Comfortable, clean, peaceful. Had everything we could possibly need. Love the screened-in porch with the Adirondak chairs, and eating on the back deck. A wonderful place for a relaxing vacation.

Perfect lake house

The house and location are even better than the pictures. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful. It was the perfect get away with our pooch. The fenced area is so convenient. The house itself is so cozy and has everything you could possibly need and lots of extras. We’re hoping to go back in the summer and really enjoy the lake.

Beautiful house on the lake!

We live on lake Algonquin too! Our home is at the other end of the Lake just 1 1/2 mile away, so if there are any questions or problems we are here to help!
Mark is an avid water skiier! There is a AWSA demensioned slalom course at the south end of the lake!

We have enjoyed this lake for over 20yrs and decided to invest in this wonderful property when it became available because of the quality of the building and setting.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We love lake Algonquin because of the mountain views and the experience of the quaint town. It is not commercialized like other lakes in the Adirondacks. The lake is calm and easy to kayak and canoe on. There are beautiful eagles flying over head and tiny humming birds at the feeders. It is close enough to attractions for day trips but we can also come back to the peace and tranquility we love! The building is well done with wood floors and great windows, the bathrooms and kitchen are clean and up to date. We even have central air and a backup generator so you are always comfortable and at ease.
