Memorial Day weekend

This property listing fraudulent and can best be described as a crack house. These reviews are on VRBO, so I can only assume VRBO are complacent in this fraud and misrepresentation. After booking, I saw a horrible review, but couldn't believe it. I called property manager they said they were professional and had cleaners. Unfortunately the horrible review was accurate, called property manager they we useless. DO NOT RENT this property. 8 people, 5 ratty towels and one hand towel, almost no kitchen items, no pans and a few dirty nasty pots, a few nasty knives and forks, peeling linoleum, water stains on ceilings, exposed wires in bedrooms, plugs didn't work, overgrown yard that was all weeds front and back, multiple light bulbs burned out, no microwave, dangerous broken walkway, TV didn't work. Just a nasty nasty house.

Not a clean stay

Many things were not up to par. Dirty comforter, dirty floors, no batteries in TV remote, front door lock loose / hard to use, Food crumbs in beds. Hard to get check in instructions. Location was nice. Place was for sale and owners didn't care to make it nice.

False advertising

The house looks NOTHING like the photos. We’ve been in many rentals and I’m literally at a loss for words. When we arrived the heat was off and not working and it was 42* and absolutely freezing. We were there to get ready for a concert with our daughters. Then after seeing the floors covered in large amounts of dirt/dust we noticed the bedding had stains all over them. I’ve never been so grossed out by filth. The sinks had hairs and soap all over. Nothing had been cleaned. There was like 3 random dirty towels in the bathrooms (we had 8 guests). I could go on and on. The couch was SO dirty and stained and half the items in the pictures were not in the house. We almost thought we were at a different house bc it was so run down. We left immediately and found an hotel and are requesting a refund. Do not stay here. The house is currently for sale and there’s just random dirty furnishings inside. Just sad bc it wasted our time and took away from our girls 13th birthday experience. This home should not even be available for people to rent

Problems with home

We had a few issues with our overnight stay. No towels in either bathroom -eventually found them wet in dryer—Had to prop dryer with chair to stay closed. Photo attached No blow dryers No batteries in TV remote/ No directions for using TV No hangers in closet No microwave No soap for either shower No switch’s /knobs on lamps Couldn’t reach chains to turn off lights on fans at nights- (need an extension on the cord) Floor NOT clean..two of us showered and within five minutes had black feet (photo attached). The biggest issue was door knob on the handle for front door. From the inside we could not get out and had to use back door to exit. When you twist the door knob it won’t release the latch. Lock box was a bit complicated. I work with realtors and was familiar but if you could Add directions on opening with your initial directions emailed that would be helpful.
