Welcome to Shell Shack! Come relax in this beach house that is less than a minute walk to the beach. Enjoy the ocean view and sound of crashing waves from both decks. Plenty of space for the entire family, or a group of friends, and enough games to keep everyone entertained. This home provides 4 bedrooms (2 king, 1 queen, 2 bunk beds), 2 1/2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated workspace, multiple Roku TVs, two living rooms (downstairs sofa is a sofa bed), and a large garage-turned game room with a ping pong table, mega Jenga, cornhole set, foosball table, bicycles, and darts. This is also where the beach chairs and  beach shades are kept. Under 2 miles from the Surf City Pier. Shell Shack allows you to slow down and enjoy island life.



This home provides an amazing outdoor area for you to enjoy those cool breezy days. After a long day at the beach head back and rinse off using the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Head to the deck to enjoy the nice ocean views. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need for a home-cooked meal with a dining table and island seating for up to 10 people. The home has central AC for those warmer days and central heating for the winter days. The home also has a dedicated workspace and free Wifi. All linens are provided with at least 1 towel per registered guest. Beach towels are not provided. Dog friendly: $125 non-refundable pet fee for two dogs max. You will have the entire home to yourself. Public beach access is just a minute walk away.



Two blocks from the Nelva R. Albury Recreation Area that consists of a nice playground, convenient beach access with restroom facilities, outdoor showers, and a public parking lot. A minute from the Trailer Bar and Tortugas Nest. Under two miles from the heart of Surf City or a 5 minute drive. Guests can get around via vehicle or take a stroll around the island on one of the four bicycles provided.

The house was everything and more the downstairs with the games and beach supplies was a major plus we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and be quick and easy access to the beach and fully stocked kitchen. We weren’t missing anything we needed and everything was very clean and asked pictured.

Shell Shack was in an ideal location and a very short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. We enjoyed the views from both decks and found the house to be very clean and organized. It was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back again!

Very convenient location, just cross the street and you are in the beach. The house has bikes, beach chairs and a cool tent, so we did not have to carry those things. TVs in every room, the beds were comfortable.

House has all the accommodations & space a family could need. Bikes, games, ping pong, boogie boards, beach chairs... you name it. The house is very well kept, clean, and comfortable. The best part was the 1 minute walk to the beach whi h was never crowded, and the views from the balcony. Our vacation was amazing!

So much better than we expected

I picked this property based on the needs of our large family gathering, but it was actually far better in person than what we were expecting in the photos. Photos did not do it justice. The space was plenty big enough for everyone. We loved the split layout so people could separate into different floors. The game room was awesome, plus all the extra beach stuff. One of the best thing I think about this property is that it's on a quiet street, not off of a busy road like most of the rentals. The communication was good. The house was well organized. They even had a baby gate and a dryrack which we used multiple times. The only cons I would say are the following: - we had an elderly woman with us and it was really difficult for her to get up all the stairs to get to the kitchen. So that is one thing to consider that the owners should mention in their advertising. - it took us awhile to get the door open because we didn't realize what was considered the front door, and kept trying the code on the wrong lockbox. - the kitchen, although it had many items, was not fully stocked in my opinion. I make mostly everything from scratch as my children have allergies from most commercial foods, and it was missing a few things we needed. But we made do. Overall, I would certainly stay here again. It's a super close walk to the beach, and a cute little park. Thanks to the owners for sharing it with us!

A lovely getaway!

Let me tell you. Driving 4 hours for a 2 day beach trip seemed daunting but this house has everything to recharge you and get you back to reality rested and ready. They allowed us to bring our pup and we would have missed her terribly if we didn’t have her. It’s close to everything and the shortest walk to the beach. Beds and amenities are perfect and everything is so comfortable. The neighbor have 4 chickens and a turtle you get to watch while you eat dinner. Just a perk. Stay at this home it’s fantastic! And the company and host are amazing
