This house from 1905 is one of the best representations of America's Tudor Revival style in historic Shaw Neighborhood. Its basic elements-- the steep gabled roofs, mullioned windows and half-timbering-- are instantly recognizable and iconic. Mid-century furniture and artwork from local artists grace two huge downstair rooms perfect for hosting. Upstairs three bedrooms feature Casper mattresses and and two full baths. On the third floor additional bedroom & entertainment room. Sleeps up to 10.

House was clean and hosts were helpful. Historical houses naturally have some drawbacks due to age like creaky floors and somewhat musty. The location is very central and close to Botanical Gardens and other attractions as well as coffee shops and restaurants.

Beautiful home in nice neighborhood

This was an absolutely lovely home to stay in. It was clean, cozy, and very nicely decorated and equipped. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent and interesting home, with beautiful architectural details. Quiet yet well-placed area for our outing to the botanical gardens and other hijinks. Host was responsive, prompt, and considerate. Would absolutely rent again.

Beautiful old house that’s been kept up to date, but maintained its old magnificence with old squeaky oak floors, tall ceilings, beautiful windows and trim work. Gorgeous house.

Sarah’s home was in a historical neighborhood and was enjoyable to walk the neighborhood for coffee. The Lebanese restaurant on Grand had the best food ever !! Our family was able to get to some of the STL attractions easily. Spent the morning at Grants Farm and that was a treat.Loved the woodwork in this house and it had plenty of bedrooms for our family. The back porch had a great area to eat breakfast and drink coffee. Very comfortable home. Thank you Sarah!!

Beautiful house in the middle of fantastic neighborhood

This house was perfect for us. Plenty of room, huge dining room, nice outdoor space to enjoy the mornings. The neighborhood was divine. We walked to the ice cream store a few blocks away that was delicious! Can't have imagined a better stay. Thank you!

Family gathering

We traveled to St. Louis for a wedding and stayed with family members in the Tudor house. It was just a couple of blocks from the church, beautiful park and restaurants. Sarah was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house is beautiful and the beds are comfortable, we enjoyed the outside area for visiting. There is a tiny house on the property that one of my siblings rented, it was a perfect place for meeting up with family.

Victory In A Victorian

Although we have visited St. Louis many times we have never stayed in the Shaw neighborhood. What a great experience! It fit the bill for proximity to downtown and The Hill and this house fit the mold perfectly for an authentic experience. A classic 120 year old home with sensible modern amenities that don't distract from the character of it all. Simply, this house has a wise soul. Aged like a fine wine. Gritty and wonderful, it's poised for whatever is next. Stay here if you love classic historical homes, don't if you love the finest of modernism.
