Bay Hall is booked solid for July '26 but we have availability in August and June. Let us know if we can help with you Summer family vacation!

Bay Hall is a magnificent Chesapeake Bay-front Manor House situated on over 1.7 very private landscaped acres located within 15-20 minutes of the quaint villages of Kilmarnock and Irvington. With over 6000 sq. feet of finished interior living space and 2000 sq. feet of outdoor entertainment, including saltwater pool and outdoor kitchen, Bay Hall can comfortably accommodate 16. The interior of the home has been completely renovated to include 5 1/2 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms and a bunkroom which is perfect for those traveling with children. For those that love to cook, the main kitchen is a Chef's dream, equipped with Monogram stainless steel appliances, including a high output 48" 6 burner dual fuel range, 48" refrigerator, warming drawer and heat lamps, and a mix of Japanese and German cutlery. There's an over-sized granite island perfect for your gatherings as well as a fully equipped Butler's kitchen, when additional cooking/serving space is required for Holidays, special events, etc...

For those in the party that are active, there is a waterfront workout area with light weights, Pelaton bike, Treadmill, and 4 person Sauna (new for 2026). You'll also find 2 kayaks and a paddle board at the property and Dameron Marsh preserve a short paddle away. Ingram Bay Marina is a 3-minute drive from Bay Hall, offering a boat ramp, slips, Fishing charters and sunset cruises. Spend a day visiting historic Tangier Island, via ferry from Reedville, or wine tastings at nearby vineyards. The Tides Inn is within 20 minutes, offering beautiful waterfront views from their outdoor patio. For those really adventurous, Bay Hall guests have access (via boat only) to our very private 170-acre property with over a mile long private beach on the Chesapeake located immediately to the south of Dameron Marsh (see photo) and a 10-minute boat ride from Bay Hall.

The home and property are absolutely lovely. The location provided the perfect setting on the Chesapeake Bay. The house was spacious and comfortable and easily accommodated our family. Amenities inside and outside the home made the stay so welcoming. The kids and adults loved the pool and the large lawn which was great for games and outdoor sports. We hope to spend another family vacation at this spectacular home, our best VRBO rental yet.

Outstanding Vacation Home

A truly wonderful vacation home. I've rented 2 - 3 dozen vacation homes and this one is the best. Beautiful home with EVERYTHING you may need. The extra kitchen and side entry room were wonderful for all the stuff the 14 of us brought without cluttering up the place. Beautifully furnished, comfortable beds, lots of games and activities, and a gorgeous view from the house, porch, pool or upper deck. The owners were very responsive to a few question and their pride in the home clearly showed. All 14 of us agreed this one is our favorite.

Beautiful home and property. Spacious with an amazing view. Top of the line appliances and comfy beds. Read the new dock would be completed in Fall of 2025 which will be a huge asset to those that want to crab, fish and launch the kayaks. The weather was chilly during our stay, so the pool was on the colder side. A note would be that there are 2 steps down from the family room into the dining area / kitchen. We were a multigenerational group from the ages of 20-107! Amazing hosts! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We just returned from a fantastic week at Bay Hall. There were 16 of us, 3 generations ranging in age from 3 – 71. The home is prettier than the pictures and allows plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed the pool, pool toys, outdoor kitchen, porches and lawn area. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The setting is beautiful and the area quiet. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying family. We went on a Sunset Cruise, hit the farmers market in Heathsville and enjoyed the shops in Kilmarnock. Our hosts, Fran and Andreas, were very prompt in responding to questions. We highly recommend Bay Hall for a family vacation.

Timeless Northern Neck Luxury

Bay Hall is a beautiful home that blends classic elegance with all the updated amenities that one could want in a vacation home. The view from the back porch/pool is amazing. The hosts are fantastic and have truly created a beautiful sanctuary. It was a true joy to get to experience it!

Beautiful and tranquil!

Beautiful home and grounds! Wonderful and friendly hosts! Bay Hall is a special place! We had plenty of room to enjoy conversation but also room to spread out if we needed space, which is important with a big family… Iykyk ;) The views of the bay are awesome! and the pool was such an asset for the children and the adults! Loved our stay!

Time on the Bay

Our entire family loved this house and this location. The house is beautiful and very comfortable and convenient. Everything anyone needs is there. The photos don’t do it justice. The only thing better is the view. We all hated to leave the wide veranda and the soft breezes off the bay. Everyone loved the games of pool volleyball, corn hole and touch football in the huge backyard. The hosts were very helpful allowing us to put in a temporary ramp for granddaddy and responding quickly and helpfully to all our questions. We hope to return!!

Perfect Bay Getaway - Perfect House!

We just spent a few nights at the beautiful Bay Hall house, with several families—and cannot rave about our stay enough! We had kids ranging from 2-14, and several sets of adults, and all left saying we’d have to find an excuse to come back soon! From the bedroom layout (BIG rooms, with multiple possibilities for configurations), to the provided amenities, to the gorgeous touches inside and out- we truly felt right at home in this gem of a house. The owners were incredibly responsive whenever a small question came up, and have clearly put a lot of time and thought into the details of this rental. The pool and outside patio were obviously the stars of the show because of the gorgeous view of the Bay, but the inside touches really did help ensure all our kids (and adults) felt right at home. Absolutely 10/10 experience for all of us- We hope to be back soon!

What a perfect weekend

I'm hesitant to share all the amazing things about this house because I don't want it to get too popular and make it hard to book again. 😉 This house is absolutely outstanding. It has everything you need for an unforgettable large group weekend. We had 16 adults and 3 kids (all under 2 years old), and it was perfect for everyone. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep, with multiple ovens, dishwashers, and sinks. The mattresses are dreamy, and we all slept wonderfully. By the end of the weekend, we were already discussing when we could book again. We are absolutely over the moon about this house. Additionally, the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all our questions and being a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to go back!

Relaxing quality time

We are a pretty active family with five kids, and our vacations usually involve nonstop activities like Disney, Universal, and cruises. This year, we decided to try something different, and we’re glad we did. Our stay at Bay Hall allowed us to slow down and enjoy quality time together. We spent our days playing board games, swimming, wiffle ball, and lots of fishing—all without the pressure of having to be anywhere at a specific time. It made for one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The house itself was absolutely beautiful and very well-kept. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that a lot of care had gone into maintaining the property.The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking and having family meals together, which we rarely get to do with all five kids involved in so many sports. To satisfy our kids’ desire for some amusement park fun, we spent a day at Busch Gardens, which was an easy drive, just over an hour away. Andreas was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. One of the highlights for me was watching the storms roll over the bay from the back porch and the rainbows that followed. The back porch quickly became my favorite spot, watching the boats and cruise ships passing by or the bright stars at night. Bay Hall provided us with a beautiful and peaceful setting for a memorable family time. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation.

Chesapeake Bay-front Estate minutes to Irvington, Kilmarnock and Whitestone Star Star Star Star Star Our family, parents, adult children, spouses and grandkids gather from across the country once a year. It is not an easy feat to find "something for everyone" that includes top-shelf bedding, multiple bathrooms and a spacious kitchen for the many "cooks in the kitchen". We were all well-accommodated in the beautifully appointed and maintained home and surroundings. Quiet mornings on the porch with coffee, luxurious swimming pool and fabulous kitchen/dining areas. Our beds, all of which catered to our "bed-snob" attitudes, were well above average, dressed in high quality bedding. The surrounds were quiet and inviting; perfect for short walks with little travelers. All of this nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac with mature trees, beautiful birds and room to play ball, tag or hide and seek. We hope to visit again, soon! My husband and I have 5 adult children and have called Northern Virginia our home for the last 27 years. However, my husband grew up visiting the Chesapeake Bay as a child and that lasting impression lead us to buying Bay Hall in the Fall of 2023. The property, with its beautiful grounds, Magnolia trees and sweeping views of both Ingram bay and the Chesapeake main channel, takes our family back to a simpler time where we can all come together and escape our busy lives.
