Mark, you were so lucky to get to see a bear parade! So many people want to see them and never do. The cabin is very close to the national park and definitely has a higher encounter rate because of that. Unfortunately, bears have become accustomed to eating human food and garbage, so they come around some of the cabins looking for food. We do our best to warn people that a Fed Bear is a Dead Bear and intentional "baiting" of the bears in a federal offense. However, once the bears discover a place to eat, they keep coming back. If you are uncomfortable with seeing bears, please consider one of our other properties on a different part of the mountain with less chance (but never zero) of bear traffic. We hope to welcome you back soon.

Yes! The view from Le Rendezvous is one the is not easily rivaled, and we are glad to hear that you got to enjoy it so much!
