Quiet retreat just a nice walk from the center of town

I saw the pictures of this bungalow and wanted to be having coffee in that kitchen. Happily, the pix are accurate.Nice walk takes you up to the top of downtown Nevada City and that's a view you'll remember. Sweet place.

Nice home base in Nevada City

The space was very well appointed with lots of little extras like spices, soaps and lotions. The host knew it was our anniversary, and left us some snacks and drinks too! The rooms were small, but plenty of space for a couple. The only downside wasn't the fault of the property; It was pouring rain the whole weekend. There was a very nice outdoor space with a table, chairs and wonderful creek, but we couldn't use it due to the weather. Hope to go back when the weather is warmer!

Just right

My 11 yr old daughter and I stayed here for a short spring break getaway. It was really the perfect size, perfect location...not too big, not too small. Easy access to downtown, easy access to nature trails, easy access to Kathy, if needed. My daughter picked this bungalow for our stay and honestly, I might let her pick more of our vacation rentals!

A darling place at a great location

On a beautiful street with a burbling creek a few feet away and only a few minutes walk to downtown Nevada City. Our host Kathy gifted us a very tasty bottle of wine and some snacks and chocolates as well as fresh flowers. The property was very quiet. The shower ceiling is on the low side. I'm 6'1" and I bonked my head a few times when using it. We had friends visit and we all sat outside next to the creek. It was very clean and I recommend staying there!

Well kept quiet neighborhood very walkable to town. Cathy, our host was very nice and was there for anything needed. The b&b was very nice, clean and well supplied. Would recommend to all.

Wonderful Nevada City stay

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at Kathy's bungalow. It was the perfect size for two people, with a full kitchen and lovely bedroom/bath. It is located on a nice quiet street with a tranquil creek next to it. It was a great "home base" while exploring Nevada City, Grass Valley, and the surrounding area. Kathy made us feel right at home and went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking (thanks also to Brett for assisting with the amenities). We highly recommend Kathy's place when you are in the area and look forward to staying again in the future. Thanks!

Delightful

The bungalow was exactly as described: quaint, clean and comfortable. It’s in a lovely green setting with a babbling brook just steps away. We were greeted with fresh flowers and goodies, including little juices, chocolates and a small bottle of Chardonnay. Kathy was very responsive when we requested a traditional coffee maker (we are French press challenged!). And the little town of Nevada City is adorable and so charming. Overall, an absolutely delightful experience. An enthusiastic 5-stars to Kathy and the bungalow!.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This bungalow was perfect for a weekend getaway. Kathy did an amazing job at providing a private, cozy, clean and lovingly put together bungalow with no detail left undone. From the fresh flowers and hand written note to the generous snacks and treats, it was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Great little cottage!

Perfectly splendid!

This bungalow is so adorable and immaculate! It had everything we could possibly need and more. Kathy and Brett put so much thought into every detail. We were here for our 40th Anniversary and appreciated the short walk into town while the Victorian Christmas event was here.

Peaceful Bungalow

Lovely little bungalow just minutes from town. Quiet and comfortable. Kathy had a beautiful welcome tray of snacks and my favorite wine stocked. Bathroom was well appointed with soaps, fresheners and lotions. Beautiful towels and robes. Fresh coffee to grind in the morning. I would definitely stay here again

Wonderful Cozy Bungalow

The bungalow is very clean and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the evening with our wine and pizza. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Its a easy 10 min walk to explore downtown. I do recommend this bungalow for your stay in Nevada City. :))

Then sweetest getaway

Small and sweet and all we need for our magical time on the River Yuba. Kathy is the best!! always available for anything we need during our stay and the most accommodating host ever. The bungalow is comfortable and light and lovely. Fit for anyone who wants to feel comfortable away from home.

Prefect vacation bungalow

Beyond adorable

THE PERFECT bungalow for 2. Charming doesn’t begin to describe this peaceful,enchanting, immaculate, whimsical rental. Best nights sleep we have ever had away from home. Treats and treasures are supplied. All our senses were satisfied. We hated to leave.

Lovely cottage and beautiful location.

The bungalow was lovely and well supplied with everything that we needed to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our host, Kathy, provided everything that we could possibly need and was very helpful in informing us of local attractions, and outdoor opportunities. Our stay was truly delightful and hopefully we will return soon.

Kathy moved to Nevada City in 1994 after graduating from UCSB and growing up in Southern California. While working at a summer camp, she met the Southern man of her dreams, Brett (from Southwestern Virginia) and they married in 2002. They have two daughters, Roxy and Scarlet.

Kathy worked for the South Yuba River Citizens League for 10 years, and while there founded the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. She was the Festival Director for the first 8 years. Currently she is a graphic designer, working for a large variety of local businesses and non-profits. She also teaches indoor cycling at the South Yuba Club (one of the best and most intense classes around!) Brett has been in solar sales for over 15 years, working for SMA America.

The family loves adventuring in the Sierra, seeing live music and enjoying their incredible and magical community of Nevada City.
