NOTE that the bathroom is on the first floor, with bedrooms on the second. High ceilings, antique furnishings, and high level of detail make for interesting visual appeal. Layout, natural light, and relatively large rooms contribute to a soothing and pleasant living space. Additional deck extend living outdoors. Fully equipped kitchen, individual room heating/cooling, and energy independence round out the house. Lots of new eateries, pubs, bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream, groceries within easy 3 block walking distance, probably the only area in town you could live without a car.

We loved our stay here in Rose Hill. Very cozy home with lovely custom furnishings. Scott made things super simple and easy for us, and absolutely recommend this home for anyone traveling to Charlottesville.

Scott was a great host and we appreciated how welcoming he was with his home. We loved its charm, the large dining area, fresh flowers, and the back deck and patio table in particular. Scott was also extremely kind and accommodating when it came to check-in/check-out time and use of kitchen supplies. Bonus points for being a quick walk away from Cou Cou Rachou, the most delicious bakery. Thanks Scott!

Scott was a great host and quick to answer any questions. Scott made us feel very welcome in his home. We thoroughly enjoyed the craftsmanship of the home, as well as all the unique decorations and furnishings. It was like staying in a museum. You can tell that Scott enjoys refurbishing old homes. Easy walk to a great bakery, breweries, and plenty of dining options. We will be staying here again when we are in Charlottesville!- Eric M.

Scott's was a perfect host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. I was especially grateful to be able to use the EV charger installed at the house. And a nice side benefit is that the house is walking distance to a wonderful cafe/coffee shop/bakery, MarieBette.

This was easily the best we ever had. We travel several times a year and this home was everything they promised it would be. It felt like we were in our own home. Easy to communicate. We needed nothing. Perfect location. The home is a work of art. I was worried we would not be the ones to mess it up!

First time staying in a rental that is the hosts primary residency, which was different. However, the house was very tidy, cozy, and eclectic. The hosts were very good with communication and making the check in/out uncomplicated. Great stay!

Excellent Walkable Spot in Charlottesville

We stayed over the weekend and it was the perfect spot. Scott was easy to work with and the space was very nice and had great character. We were able to walk to UVA as well as downtown. We would definitely stay here again.
