NOTE that the bathroom is on the first floor, with bedrooms on the second. High ceilings, antique furnishings, and high level of detail make for interesting visual appeal. Layout, natural light, and relatively large rooms contribute to a soothing and pleasant living space. Additional deck, front porch with chairs, extend living outdoors. Fully equipped kitchen, individual room heating/cooling, and energy independence round out the house. Lots of new eateries, pubs, bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream, groceries within easy 3 block walking distance, probably the only area in town you could live without a car.

Beautifully renovated home. Very easy check-in and the host was quick to respond when there were issues with the front door lock. On a busy road, but very quiet at night. A block away from an amazing bakery/coffee shop. This is a great place for a quick weekend away. However, if you are a big sports fan, they do not have standard cable to watch games on traditional broadcast channels. Nothing to do with the quality of the home or our experience. Just an FYI.

First time staying in a rental that is the hosts primary residency, which was different. However, the house was very tidy, cozy, and eclectic. The hosts were very good with communication and making the check in/out uncomplicated. Great stay!

Excellent location with easy access to downtown and UVA campus. A charming home as described. The only note is that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs -- just be aware. I would gladly stay here again on a future visit. Many thanks to Scott for an easy stay.

We had a great stay here - it’s such a charming house in a fantastic location. We walked everywhere we wanted to go in Cville. Hosts were on top of everything and super communicators. Highly recommend!

Excellent Walkable Spot in Charlottesville

We stayed over the weekend and it was the perfect spot. Scott was easy to work with and the space was very nice and had great character. We were able to walk to UVA as well as downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

Ideal location

This historic house with tasteful artistic touches is perfectly located. Within walking distance of UVA and the downtown mall. Comfy beds and mostly quiet. Scott was super responsive. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely home, welcoming hosts

We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully appointed home. Fresh flowers in the middle of the charming dining room greeted us on arrival The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, including freshly roasted coffee and a french press. The house was close to so many wonderful restaurants and bakeries. One thing that might be helpful for potential guests is to know is that the one bathroom is downstairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but it could potentially be for older renters. This will be our first choice for accommodations on future trips to Charlottesville.

Amazing house

We were enchanted by this beautiful house! Our 18-year old daughter remarked that this is the type of house she wants to live in forever. The decor was so charming. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided (coffee setup, cooking supplies) and the rooms were so comfortable. Excellent location to visit our UVA student. We went for a lovely run in the morning (close to McIntire Park) and enjoyed coffee on the back deck/outdoor space. Amazing stay!

Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay. Great house in a neighborhood close to the downtown mall. Well-stocked with wviyiu need. Definitely would recommend.

Very cozy

We really enjoyed staying at this house. We used it for a family get together and it was perfect. I love cooking and the kitchen was great!! Very nice dining room. The hosts were exceptional! We will be back!

Beautiful home

Gorgeous house, great location, excellent communication from the host. Our only complaint is that we didnt know the hot tub would be closed for the season.
