The property is in a perfect location with a very short walk to the downtown Belmont restaurants and an easy walk to downtown Charlottesville. The property is quiet. Storage is a bit lacking. There is nowhere to store clothing in terms of a dresser, and the bathroom could use some shelves to hold bathroom items. There was only 1 hanger in the closet. While there are a lot of lights in the unit, the lights are very dim, including those in the bathroom, making the property very dark. Some storage and brighter lights would go a long way. Great stay though and the hosts were fantastic too.

I had a wonderful experience at the Belmont Flat. The owners met me upon arrival just to introduce themselves and letme know I could come to their door for any questions or recommendations for my trip. Very friendly couple! The space was clean and had all the amenities, to include a washer and dryer

This was a clean, recently renovated, delightfully finished, studio apartment located near downtown Charlottesville. Street parking was plentiful. The host, Sarah, introduced herself when I arrived and provided dining out suggestions. 10 out of 10, would do again.

The inside was how it looked, however, there was a heavy, thick damp smell that didn't allow us to stay there. There was a dehumidifier that was not running with a sign that said to "please dump me when I'm full". Why they are renting a room that has a significant water issue is just wrong. The customer service tried to book us another room but when we finally got there it was 3 stories up with no elevator. She did give us a full refund, but then we needed to look for a hotel to stay in. Not what you want to be doing after driving 6 hours to get there. The place is also in someone's backyard that has children. You can see how close the trampoline is to the unit and I circled the monkey rings that are draped across the trees in front of the window with the blinds. The blinds that are up letting in the natural light can not stay open because you are on a residential street and obviously kids are in the yard. We've booked with Vrbo for over 20 years and never had a situation like this. Extremely disappointing and inconvenient.

The Belmont Flat was exactly as described end an easy walk from Belmont restaurants and the Downtown Mall. The onsite host was lovely - greeted us upon our arrival and surprised us with a bottle of wine when she found out we were celebrating our 15th anniversary! So wonderful!

Great short term stay, great location!

I stayed in the Belmont flat for 2 weeks while traveling to Charlottesville for work. Overall, the property is quite nice. Very clean and well taken care of, in an ideal location to access the downtown area and a short drive to the wineries and local must-sees. The property owners are very kind and give you a ton of privacy during your stay. The owners do have two very sweet, larger dogs that sometimes hang out in the backyard during the day and you have to cross through the yard to get to the property entrance but they keep to themselves. The most difficult part of my stay was that the property is not necessarily setup for longer term rentals (see cons below). It was also difficult communicating with/contacting the property management team once your stay has begun - I had to call the emergency line 3 times to get a hold of someone on a weekday at 3:30pm... Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend - particularly for a short term trip to Charlottesville.Pros:- Great location- Property/neighborhood is private and quiet at nights- Upon arrival the property is very clean and well kept- Bathroom is remodeled and very nice- Key-less entry makes for easy access and departure- Washer and dryer for longer staysCons: - No oven in kitchen- No clothing/food storage space (e.g. dressers, cabinets, etc.)- You have to pay to have linens replaced during your stay- Smart TV is a bit outdated if you want to use newer apps (e.g. YoutubeTV)

The host here great about being flexible with our schedule and say dates. They allowed a last minute date change and approved a late checkout with no hassle. We were greeted with a warm smile and a nice bottle of wine. We enjoyed the property and it was well equipped to serve our needs for a comfortable stay. It’s a beautiful and lovely property.

Cute studio perfect for two friends catching up. Nice location for walking to Belmont or downtown bars and restaurants. Grocery store is a drive.

Beautiful!

We stayed during icy weather, but still walked to the mall easily enough. Great area! Beautiful cozy private clean property. The flat had more Charlottesville character than any chain hotel would have.

The stay was great. I would make a couple of suggestions. Needs more plugs/usb connections especially closer to either side of the bed. Needs more hooks or towel racks in the bathroom. With 2 people and 1 hook, towels don't dry very well. If your stay is longer than a few days, you will still work from your suitcase, because other than the closet, no place to put your clothes. Two very friendly dogs welcome you which is great. The owner is also very friendly. Close walking distance to a park; restaurants and coffee spot. Overall, the stay went very smoothly, and wood do it again bringing my extension cord with me.

Stayed and would stay again:)

Overall we had a Wonderful stay :) Location was easily accessible and within 10-12 walk distance to several local eateries. Off topic, but would recommend “The Local” for a sit down meal (our 30th anniversary dinner). We lounged on the front porch & enjoying coffee both mornings, took in the flowering hydrangeas and “people watched” the passersby. Excellent air conditioning and air circulation. It was 100+ degrees outside, but super comfortable inside. We enjoyed two unexpected guests the first and second morning. Up front, we are dog lovers, but these were two of the most friendly and kind dogs…. They will be a fond part of our memories. There is a covered porch off the rear of the flat; you can enjoy the outside even if it raining. We got caught in the rain the first afternoon, but the Flat’s washer:dryer made a quick fix of the damp clothes. We have one less than perfect item and two suggestions for the owner. Less than perfect: Street parking only, located on a pretty steep hill (nothing you can do, but worth mentioning). Suggestion 1: Bathroom sink drains very, very slow. Suggestion 2: There was pepper, but the salt was empty. This is a definite “do again” and we recommend you try this hidden gem.

Good spot

The flat was a nice and comfortable place to stay. Location is great, we could have walked to several places but it was really hot this weekend. Was hoping kitchen was more to it to cook but was still plenty to work with. Would have used small grill had it not been so hot. Place was clean. Musty smell in bathroom but overall very clean.
