We had the best family vacation! The spot was idyllic very comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook in swim and relax.! our property manager was so wonderful. Made sure we were sorted with the boat that we brought and provided support whenever we need it.. the check-in was seamless. They met us and brought us to the house. Wi-Fi was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beach.We would definitely come again!!!

We had a serene stay in this modern guesthouse on the water. Very clean and well maintained thanks to the caretakers, Grace and Edward. Grace is an excellent cook and she made us a some killer sandwiches for our day on the water. We rented a boat and kept her on the end of the dock. We could take the boat or our golf cart easily to the Staniel Cay YC. All around - an amazing family vacation. My only complaint was the cost of the cottage was a little pricey. I would consider another stay, but only if they come down on the cost to stay per night.

Perfect Staniel Getaway

Driftwood was perfect for our family with two kids, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents. The beach area was the best part for kids to play in the sand flats and the variety of lounge chairs was great for everyone. We enjoyed the kayaks and beach toys available and the two caretakers were beyond helpful throughout our stay. A few things to note are that the stairs inside might not be great for real young walkers (under 3ish) and the front deck outside needs shoes so you don't get splinters. The kitchen was well stocked but would be better with an assortment of spices and a decent spatula. We would definitely come again!

Perfect Holiday Getaway at Driftwood Cottage!

We stayed at Driftwood Cottage in Staniel Cay for 8 days over Christmas, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The cottage was a cozy and comfortable retreat, perfectly situated for exploring the stunning Exumas.The host, Alexandra, went above and beyond to ensure our trip was seamless. She was incredibly helpful with planning and organizing beforehand and super responsive throughout our stay. When the local telco antenna went down on our first day, leaving us without WiFi, Alexandra overnighted a Starlink to ensure we stayed connected. That level of care is rare and so appreciated!The caretakers, Edward and Mary, were outstanding. They were attentive to our every need, bringing ice daily in the morning and offering help whenever we needed it. Their warmth and hospitality added so much to our stay.Exploring the surrounding islands was a highlight of our trip, and Alexandra connected us with Aaron, who rented us a dayboat in good condition. A boat is essential for making the most of Staniel Cay, and this arrangement made it easy and stress-free.Driftwood Cottage was the perfect base for our holiday adventure. Between the incredible support from Alexandra, Edward, and Mary, and the breathtaking beauty of the Exumas, this was a 10/10 experience. We can't recommend it enough!

Piece of Paradise

What a wonderful experience. Centrally located in Staniel Cay, Driftwood Cottage is a special location in a protected lagoon where you just walk out the door and you are in Paradise! The service was excellent with Airport pick-up, assistance and daily follow up!

A Piece of Paradise

I've visited Staniel Cay many times over the past 10 years, and have had my eye on Driftwood for a long time. We finally booked it almost a year in advance to be sure we could secure it for our family. It was the perfect location for all of our grandchildren and the adults. We rotated groups in and out during our 8 night stay. The creek was awesome for our grandkids who ranged from 20 months to 14 years old. Having the beach, shallow water, floating pad, paddle boards and kayaks kept everyone busy when we weren't out in the boat. A boat dock is a must for us, which again made Driftwood a great choice for us. The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked which we love as we cook most meals at "home" while we're there. The beds were comfortable which is important for me because I have arthritis in my back. The kids loved the futon style couches and even chose to sleep there some ninights. Most importantly the caretakers, Grace and Edward are amazing!!! I could write a book about their kindness and efficiency. We are from Texas and were at Driftwood when Hurricane Beryl made landfall near Houston which affected flights for two of our family groups. Consequently, we all ended up at Driftwood for 1 night. Grace and Edward helped us with an extra mattress and bedding. They made sure we had a pack n play for the grandbaby and a gate for the stairs. They live next door so they are available when you need help, but are not intrusive. They are amazing!! ♥️

Third time is a Charm!

This was our third time staying in this cute little cottage. It had everything that we needed. My grandchildren ages 9, 11 and 14 enjoyed the kayaks, and discovering the marine life that would swim by. We all enjoyed watching the planes come and go. Our host Grace and Edward were always available within minutes. We also enjoy renting a boat and using the dock there at the house. It’s nice to go out each day and explore all the beautiful things. We highly recommend The Driftwood.

First Timers and Already Missing It.....

First off, we read the reviews about Aaron, and they are all true. He was very helpful. when we first arrived, we were a little intimidated, as it was our very first trip to the Bahamas, and everything always had its way of working out. The house was just as we had envisioned, and contains just about any amenity necessary for your stay. Cooking utensils, towels, washer/dryer, and even spices for meal prep. The water side of the house is like a dream. Aaron is your knowledge station for any question you may have. We tried to not bother him too much, as we know he has a life down there, and we loved running into him in town. But he was always looking to help, and super nice guy. Communication is the only real issue we ran into because the service is hit or miss, and messages would get around in a delayed manner, but we always seemed to work out our situations. A golf cart is a must, as the house is a little far from town to walk, so MAKE SURE that it is communicated that you get yours though the rental company. You can't just click and get a cart. They will email you a quote, and (for us) there may be some back and forth before the cart is official... This is where the communication problem came in for us. All in all, our stay was amazing, and we already miss it so much!!!

Staniel is our favorite place to go in the Bahamas and Driftwood is our favorite place to stay. Stayed here several times and highly recommend it!

AMAZING property!!

This property is amazing!! We booked one week (husband, two boys, 5 and 2, and myself) because of the beautiful beach area included.. and enjoyed it so much that we ended up extending our stay another week! The bay area is beautiful and perfect for exploring on kayaks which are provided. Our small boys had a blast swimming and exploring the sand bar at low tide, searching for seashells and hermit crabs, and building sandcastles on our own private beach! I really just can’t say enough about the outside area. It is a dream vacation property! The house is very comfortable and clean as well. The beds are cozy, the living area was perfect for our small family, and the kitchen had everything we needed. On top of all this, communication was excellent! The couple of things we did need, were delivered to us quickly. Aaron, the property manager, was such a help! He is very kind and informative. He helped us find a golf cart when we thought we wouldn’t because of our late booking, and showed us around the island while we waited for them to get it ready. At one point, we let the cart die by the yacht club.. We called Aaron, who was pulling in jet skis at the time, and he was there in 5 minutes to give us a ride home. The next morning, he had taken it upon himself to tow the cart back to the house to charge. He went above and beyond! Our stay at Driftwood was nothing short of perfect. We will absolutely be booking this property for future visits to our new favorite spot, Staniel Cay!

Great place and great people

Located on a protected inlet and private beach perfect for the kids to play and swim. A dock for a rental boat gives you access to all of the Exumas depending on your level of adventure. Modern electric, water, Wi-Fi, a/c make it like home. Larger kitchen and living area. Bedrooms are that of a cottage but completely adequate. House has a few details as all do. An ac unit that doesn’t work, but an alternate window unit was installed. Location isn’t too remote but is completely private. Caretaker close by and after a quick island tour always available. Highly recommended. We’ll be back.

Fantastic Family Vacation

This property was everything we could have wanted and more. The beauty of Staniel Cay is incomparable. Driftwood cottage was a perfect landing spot to explore from. It was clean, spacious, had great water and internet. Aaron was an awesome property manager and quick to help any time we reached out.
