House was clean and very comfortable. Good water pressure and A/C. Host rented us a cart which was needed to get back and forth from the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.

Perfect location and accommodations!

James and Lorraine were great hosts. The house was very clean and well outfitted. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the airport, public dock, grocery store and yacht club. We would highly recommend this house as a great place to stay!

Best spot to relax

Staniel Cay is the spot that most feels like the Bahamas to us, an is our go to for uncrowded relaxation. This house was the perfect place on the island. Being centrally located, everything you need was just minutes away. And when you wanted a quiet get away location this was it. With its second story views and lush gardens all around the house. We will be returning. Thank you.

Great Place

Really nice place, convenient location very close to docks and airport. House was very well kept, had everything you'd need for a night or a week. Couple smaller grocery stores and convenience stores on island, beautiful place with beautiful people. Would definetly stay again.

A peaceful vacation

Lorraine and James are wonderful host. They are thoughtful, responsive, helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again.

Staniel Cay Adventure

Great place to stay on Staniel Cay. Reasonable price, centrally located, easy walk to most everywhere on the Island. James is very gracious and helpful. Set us up with a good boat tour guide. 3 minute walk to the airport, 10 minute walk to the yacht club.

Great Spot

The location of this home is great. We were able to zip around the island to all the spots (Staniel Cay, Pirates Beach, boating, fishing etc). James and Lorraine were great. So informative and friendly. You need to rent their golf cart while you stay here. Take a boat to all the little islands.

Great house

The house is in a great location for everything. It has everything you need while traveling. It was a good fit for my family of 4. The host, James went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything. He checked on us numerous times and was very responsive with emails before we arrived. He was also a great guide for the island. We will definitely be back!

Excellent Character

I had booked the home prior to Hurricane Irma and for some reason or another, this also corresponded to a hack onto Jame's computer which lead to me cancelling our stay with James. James immediately contacted me to explain and unfortunately I had already booked with someone else at that time and had to continue with the cancellation. James immediately refunded me, no questions asked and continues to offer his help if case we need anything. Even though I've never met James in person, I can tell he is a man of character and virtue. Appreciate all your help again and until next time! Kevin

Good price-quality

Complete appartment, well quiped. Good internet. no tv chanels, but netflix available. if you have apps for waching TV than is no problem. good location, central. although airport in the area, no annoiing noise from planes. owner can arange cheap tours. walk distance to beat rent. owner offers possibillity for renting golfcart for transport on the island. we had a good stay.

We had a wonderful stay at The Good Life cottage!

The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was the perfect getaway for two couples and had everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen for simple meals, beach towels, a wonderful covered deck/porch with seating, and great WiFi for one of us who had to work occasionally. James was a perfect host helping us at the airport upon arrival and providing a golf cart for us to rent. He recommended a wonderful boat captain (Fishy) who took us on a tour to pig beach, thunderball grotto, the sand bar, swimming with sharks, a plane wreck and iguana beach. Awesome experience, thank you James and Fishy!! The property is near the airport and across the street from the Embrace Resort serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The golf cart was perfect for exploring the island, beaches, shopping at the small grocery stores and frequenting Staniel cay yacht club. James and Lorraine were awesome hosts and quick to respond to any questions. We look forward to returning and would definitely recommend The Good Life cottage!

Convenient, clean cottage

This cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to make meals and have a comfortable stay. Staniel Cay is a very small island. This was 45 seconds (yes, seconds) from the airport in a golf cart. We rented the golf cart for the week directly from the owners. Vivian and James were great to deal with and made our stay very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again when we return in the future.

Awesome Stay

Property is close to airport. Walking distance to check on plane. Also James was able to help us rent a golf cart, arrange a fishing guide, rental boat etc. He went out of his way to help. We will definitely stay here again

Perfect as always

House was exactly as described. We also rented a golf cart from James so we were able to easily go out to Pirate beach every day. Weather was perfect and Covid testing was easy at the Yacht Club. Would definitely recommend!

It’s better in the Bahamas !!

Absolutely terrific location and home which James takes great care to ensure we were all having fun and had everything we needed. We already are planing to return, hopefully with friends next time. His home is close to everything but it’s fun to rent his golf cart and explore. Also, rent a boat and captain Fishy will take you lots of places you won’t want to miss. Excellent vacation

A perfect way to spend the holidays

This home was perfect for our family of four to spend a tropical Christmas. James picked us up from the airport along with coordinating a golf cart and boat rental and answering other questions. The location was convenient to everything when we preferred occasionally to walk instead of golf cart.

Relax in paradise

The cottage was exactly as described, clean and comfortable and a perfect getaway after a long day on the beach or on the water. James was a perfect host helping us at the airport upon arrival and providing us a map of the island. We rented a golf cart for the week to get around. James cleaned off his bikes for our boys to enjoy a little sightseeing. We did a day trip deep sea fishing and another day tour to pig beach, thunderbolt grotto, the sand bar, swimming with the sharks at compass Cay and iguana beach which was very memorable. There are a couple of small groceries to buy necessities which we got but also ate most meals at the local staniel cay yacht club where they pour generous drinks and have amazing food. We look forward to returning soon! Thanks for a memorable family vacation.

Spearfishing Getaway

Overall house was very well kept, clean and spacious. We were here for a week of spearfishing/diving and were hoping to cook nightly. The kitchen could be better equipped with basics (knives, cutting boards, etc). BBQ available but you must supply your own charcoal... we were thinking this was a propane setup.
