Aloha, I’m Jeanne, and I have the joy of caring for our family’s villas at Maui Kaanapali Villas. I first moved to Lahaina in 1974, and since 1980 I’ve lived upcountry on the beautiful slopes of Makawao and Haʻikū. All of my children were born and raised here, enjoying the simple joys of growing up on Maui.

My oldest son traded his surfboard for a snowboard when he left for college, but my two younger boys still live on island and love spending time at our villa. My brothers and their families are based in California and visit as often as they can. In fact, during the 1980s, our entire family—parents, kids, and spouses—all lived together here at the Villas, filling the space with laughter and memories.

Now, it’s a joy to share this special place with guests like you. We take pride in treating our condos with love and care, and we’re sure you’ll feel the difference. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do—and perhaps we’ll have the chance to meet you soon.

When I first moved to Maui, my friends and I would park our Prindle Cat sailboats right on the beach in front of Maui Kaanapali Villas. It was our hangout spot—we’d spend hours sailing, relaxing on the sand, and ending our days at the Castaway Café bar. When my family came to visit, it quickly became our gathering place too.

In 1977, when my dad visited for the first time, he fell in love with the property so much that he purchased our first villa. A few years later, he purchased another, and ever since our family has been enjoying, remodeling, renting, and returning to this special place. Now some of my children are older than I was when I first arrived on Maui, and yet the magic of MKV hasn’t changed—it’s still our favorite place to spend time together.

Everyone in our family loves coming back to the villas, and just as my mom and dad passed them on to us, we know one day we’ll pass them on to our kids. Maui Kaanapali Villas remains one of the only places on Kaanapali Beach that has held onto that same warm, welcoming feeling it had decades ago. We hope you’ll find as much joy here as we have over the years.

Our condos at Maui Kaanapali Villas are truly one-of-a-kind because they’ve been family-owned, cared for, and loved for nearly 50 years. My dad first purchased here in 1977 after falling in love with the property, and since then three generations of our family have grown up sailing, swimming, and spending time at MKV. We personally live on island, so each condo is impeccably maintained and thoughtfully cared for—not managed by a distant company.

Unlike the busier parts of Kaanapali Beach, our location north of Black Rock offers a calm, serene stretch of sand that feels private, while still giving you all the conveniences of a resort: pools, hot tubs, beach chairs, beachfront dining, and easy access to Whalers Village and Lahaina. Families especially appreciate our bathtub for sandy kids, pull-out sofa, gated pool just steps away, and a full kitchen with a real fridge and freezer—details that make vacation simple.
