Reviewer Comments: This is my second year renting at this great location.I rented the one bedroom for the month of August and plan to rent same room in 2025 for all of August.Staff is very friendly, helpful and always gave me clean towels and sheets every thee days. The location could not be better for access to River Run , concerts at the Pavilion, easy walk to restaurants. Wood River bike path is right by this location The owner Allen Penney lives on site and is always interested in how well you are being taken care of while at his rentals.Next year will be my third year at this condo unit. So much fun to be 😊there.

Nice relaxing ski trip

The manager Cheri was helpful and accommodating (we stayed an extra 2 days). Allen Pennay is an interesting gentleman with some neat stories to share.

Sun Valley.. River Run

Upon entering we noticed that it was a bit odiferous. The location had been described as 200' away from the skiing area. Not even close in described, as it was more like 300 yards and not easy to walk for older people with ski equipment. The couch was extremely uncomfortable. The cushions crushed almost to the floor and hurt one's back to sit there for very long. The floor was way more comfortable. The electric heaters took forever to heat up, even though the gas fireplace was used for several days until it quit working.

Ideal location for Sun Valley and Ketchum

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I enjoyed all the fresh snow and sunshine that Sun valley and Pennay’s has to offer. The walk along the stream to the ski base was idyllic and most days the til was packed snow. Our unit #7 has yet to be upgraded which will greatly enhance your stay. The bed was firm yet comfy, housekeeping stopped by nearly daily with towels and supplies and the grounds people did a fantastic job plowing. It is about a 5 block wam uphill into town and the nearby bike trail is fantastic. Don’t forget to find out when Mr. Pennay is playing piano at the base bar- he is truly talented.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Penney’s. The unit was a great size, well appointed kitchen for basic meal prep and overall very comfortable. The location is fantastic, easy walk/ski to River Run, on a walk path and nice meadow for walking the dog and very close to downtown restaurants. We stayed in one of the units that has not been updated but everything was clean and functional just dated. We hope to be back soon!

Great location for skiing

Location made everything here as we came strictly to ski and the walk to the gondola was an easy 5 minutes. Hot tub was very nice for ending the day and had it all to ourselves. Will definitely stay here again when we visit back. Thanks!

Location, Location

Easy access to Sun Valley ski resort. Just a short walk. They supposedly have a snowmobile ski shuttle but we never saw that working while we were there but the walk was just as long as it would have been from the parking lot. The room was very clean. It’s a little dated but the location makes up for that!

Can't beat the location

This condo is all about the location! It is a quick 5 minute walk to the River Run lodge and gondola, 10 minute walk to Main Street and 1 minute walk to the bike path. There is a field right outside of the condo where you can walk your dog, making it convenient if traveling with your pet. Overall, the condo was clean and offered a full kitchen, perfect for a longer stay. The only improvement would be to replace the carpet, as it had a noticeable smell, most likely from wet ski equipment/boots, but it had a great sliding glass door to open to get some fresh air! I would recommend staying at Pennays.

The place was quite a bit more worn than in the photos and smelled like mildew. The bathroom sink was clogged / broken. The floor is sunken in which leaves the head of the bed sloping down resulting in a nice morning headache. Condo aside the location was great. Seems like more of a college kid rental than a family rental.

First time and love the area, skiing, etc. Per email instructions, called when we arrived and person said they would check with cleaning and let me know if we could check in early/before 4pm. No return call...I call back ~3pm and told 'oh yeah, your unit is ready! 1 bed/1 bath condo - dated/needs some maintenance and repairs (living room couch, carpet, dishwasher - not installed properly, no oven mitts). Ran out of hot water when showering (only 2 people):O( Kitchen window left open and living room slider did not lock; however, called - not a very pleasant experience on the phone...although, owner (Alan - very nice) did come next day and he was able to lock it for us. We would stay here again - may try a different unit.

Location location

Great spot to stay if you are planning on skiing at Sun Valley. Ideal location. Very comfortable accommodations. Management was very responsive and friendly. Would stay here again for sure!

Great Stay!

The rooms are a little dated and the TVs were on the small side but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is really great and the hosts were fantastic! I would definitely stay again. This is really the closest property to the River Run ski lifts and gondola. We stayed int he summer and having the creek and the bike trail so close was great. I would definitely stay here again.
