4B Miracle Lodge-Indoor Court-Stay&Play Together-Staycation/Reunions/Events/Ski

4B Miracle Lodge-Indoor Court-Stay&Play Together-Staycation/Reunions/Events/Youth Activities... Family Friendly - NO DRINKING PARTIES!
Sleep 30+ in Central Salt Lake Valley close to everything (Temples, 6+ Ski resorts, River Trail...)
Why rent 7+ hotel rooms? Stay together instead!
Gym for basketball, golf, events/reunions (free tables & chairs), 2-flavor ice cream machine, FREE- bouncy house, infl. ball pit, kettle & popcorn. Older pool table, dual basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong…Theater area, Karaoke, exercise room...

LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND DESCRIPTIONS BEFORE BOOKING!
Many have commented how incredible the place is for family events, birthday parties, youth activities, corporate events...
In Fact here is what the last group had to say:
"The house was wonderful, everyone had a fabulous time. A couple of the guys said they want to give reviews as well. Thank you so much for all you did. This was the best [vacation rental] stay ever!!!"
-Corporate Trainer (flew in and stayed while hosting training seminar and couples dinner for employees)
A Grandmother recently said that the grandkids wanted to leave the rec center pool and go back to play at the fun 4B house. After their stay the grandkids asked to come back in the summer!
A family that just stayed already had two other groups wanting to book as well as their family returning for another reunion/staycation.
Last group was a Youth Group up from Arizona for General Conference that had an incredible weekend and next week is a Young Women's group coming after a leader enjoyed a stay with her extended family. Contact host for special opportunities for weekday Youth activities (e.g. sharing 4B and other miracles then youth enjoy Super Jump/climbing walls, game tables, 2-flavors of ice cream, kettle & popcorn...).

The 4B Miracle Lodge (see the printout of the amazing 4B Miracle!) is an older home with an indoor gymnasium/basketball court, game room, home theater area...
A number of updates/improvements have been made and are continuing to be made but many areas are still dated, stained, chipped, dented, unfinished (think of as bonus areas)...

The price has been reduced because of this so please do not book if you are looking for a brand-new, perfect place (other places are up to $2,000.00+ per night!). The 8 kids and the neighborhood kids/youth/scouts really did a number on the old place and even after months of work there are areas that are still dated/stained/chipped... as shown in the photos.

Most people absolutely love the space as-is with all of the unique spaces and amenities so please only book after you look at the photos and determine if it is a wonderful opportunity for you.

I want you to have an amazing 5-Star Stay (anything less is unacceptable) so please let me know how I can help in any way:-).

Thank you,
Merrick

The host was kind and very easy to reach. The property is older, but was one of the cheaper rentals in the Salt Lake Valley for the space available. The kitchen was smaller than expected. The sport court in the basement was a lot of fun. I feel like overall, it is a great value for the money.

We had such a great time at the 4B Miracle Lodge! The owner was so accommodating and responsive. We booked this place a week before due to last minute changes because of our mom’s poor health. We were able to gather all six of her kids and grandkids! The kids LOVED all that was available to do and play. We appreciated how pet friendly it was too. Thank you Merrick for a great stay!

We had a great time. The ice cream and popcorn were a hit with the kids and adults alike. The gym was a fun place with lots of activities for the kids. The Kitchen is small but we were able to get everything cooked ok to keep the 32 of us feed. Thanks for a great stay .

Such a fun location and so accommodating. After leaving all the kids said how much they wished they were still 'at that neat house.' There was plenty of room for activities, lots of space and many great memories. It was such a great time. We loved having the two kitchen areas and the outdoor space along with the gym. The kids spent hours and hours playing together and the adults were just as entertained. There was always something to do and it was great to have the family so involved with one another.

We stayed here for an church youth retreat and had a wonderful experience with the host. Merrick was incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and very accommodating of our non-profit budget. He clearly cares about his guests. The indoor basketball court, soft-serve ice cream machine, and popcorn machine were huge hits and kept our group entertained the entire weekend! It is worth noting that the home is much older than it appears in the photos and is in need of some significant cosmetic updates, particularly with the carpets throughout the house. If you are looking for a high-end luxury stay, this might not be the fit, but for a large group looking for great fun amenities and a great host, this home might be a great consideration.

Perfect place for large groups! I booked this house for my women's football team for the weekend and it was perfect for reviewing film in the theater area, eating together in the dining area, and the game room, gym, and outdoor areas were fantastic for using our free time. Our family is planning a reunion and we need a home big enough to house for our four oldest children and their children to stay, we were happy to find this house with all the amenities. We are grateful for the game room and for the basketball grateful for the pool table, air hockey table the gym, the TV where the kids played video games with each other, and the karaoke machine had lots of fun singing along We enjoyed our stay very much!!

Merrick, the homeowner, tried to be very accommodating wanting to give us a 5 star experience. However our party of 18 could not get past the fact that this property was not clean, nor up to code. Exposed wiringCracked tiles Holes in wallsMold growing on bathroom walls No ventilation in bathroom upstairsCold water faucet broken in showerSinks plugged Filthy carpet (we wore shoes the entire time) Ants in kitchen Spiders in bathrooms and downstairs bedrooms Harness for climbing wall is secured to a vent and there are no mats underneath for safetyFront and backyard are football turf with cheet grass growing through (very bad for animals paws) Bunk beds needed tightening to be secure Outside equipment also needed tightening Stains on bedding and underneath, towels also did not smell cleanEtc. etc. I reached out directly to address our concerns with the homeowner and he stated he is very transparent about the state of the home and that’s why he charges so little, expressing that many are just grateful for a place to stay. The listing does not mention the above list of code violations or state of the home. I have contacted Vrbo directly to resolve the issue. We will see how it turns out. We’ve used VRBO for years and never encountered these kind of issues. VRBO said that we could have called the day of and they would have found a solution to the fact that the home was not in a state it should be rented. Good to know for the future.

Only AFTER DEMANDING $2,600.00 in refunds & AFTER their entire extended family enjoyed an extended stay all together for less than the price of one fancy hotel room, did they bring up these "issues"! Other groups made similar demands AFTER their subsequent stays (so already knew the condition and booked again but just wanted a refund AFTER). 3 times it states DON'T BOOK UNTIL YOU SEE DESCRIPTION/PHOTOS!!! As per the artificial turf and pets' paws, that doesn't make sense plus they did not pay any pet fees so they shouldn't be complaining and should have paid pet fees! As per the damaged mattress cover, we just replaced that for the THIRD TIME after their stay - guests insist on eating and drinking in that bed with the new king-size mattress while they watch the 60" TV! Renters often refuse to pick up dropped food/free kettle/popcorn so we have child-save bait traps for any ants (I refuse to allow any poisons to be sprayed where young children will be staying - I would much rather vacuum up an occasional spider than risk children's deformities/developmental issues). Speaker wires are not against code and are not a risk of shock! The last group extended their stay two times and still wanted to stay longer. There are dozens of groups of families, sports teams, companies, church youth groups... that left 5-stars & were grateful that, even w/ losing money many months, it is available to bless others' lives with a place everyone can stay together for 1/3 to 1/5 to 1/10 the cost!

Incredibly unclean

Our stay here was awful, the host is intrusive, he was on the property while we were there with children. He was trying to access the internet modem while we were in the house, he was clearly using surveillance that was not disclosed to us. The kitchen smelled like dead mice, we found mouse poop on counters, the ceiling is peeling off, the walls are falling apart, and the carpets are disgusting. He continued to message me asking for a 5 star review, this place shouldn't be listed as a rental, it is a health hazard.

All of the other reviews are 10 Stars so maybe she didn’t like the undeniable 4B miracle. For the FREE ice cream, she insisted I take an afternoon to get fresh dairy ice cream instead of using the non-dairy mix. As I live in the missionary apartment on the other side of the garage that I donated for years, there is a smart doorbell for deliveries. When the pizzas arrived I preheated the oven to keep them warm as her group’s arrival was delayed. Apparently they don’t like smart smoke detectors because they unplugged the internet so I was unable to work or print orders for days:-(. The previous group set off those smoke detectors and spilled some seafood liquid into the stove/oven. I told Aimee we were cleaning it (I paid extra to have them clean it 4 times!) and installing a new ceiling fan (sorry if I missed any debris when I cleaned twice with disinfecting wipes). Twice she suggested they would fix the internet but they didn’t plug it back in until the last day when they were leaving and asked for the password (“choosetheright”). Even with all the extra time and expense she insisted I do for FREE, the extra service, the lost days of work… I told her I planned on giving her 5 Stars. I informed her I left her 5 Stars as promised and made improvements so guests can unplug the internet without issues (except doorbell/outside security camera/smoke detectors will be offline). Unfortunately, right after she left the worst possible review with inaccurate information:-(.

Wonderful for the Family

This was a wonderful place to house our entire family for a wedding. We had 4 families all under the same roof which is very difficult to do affordably. This was the perfect place. The owner was awesome and went out of his way to assist us. He came over to help with the climbing wall and the jump lines, which was a highlight of the stay. The ice cream and the popcorn was a very nice touch. The only reason that I cannot give this an overall 5 star review, and I know the owner is working on it, but the house was in need considerable maintenence and repair. Overall the house was outdated, the carpets were stained and need replacing, some of the couches had considerable damage (looked like a cat had scratched several of them considerably), there were project supplies laying around on the back porch (old fencing, tools, etc), which was a safety concern for the toddlers, a broken mirror, holes in the ceiling where bathroom fans used to be, etc. I look forward to staying here again once all the updates are made and the place is cleaned up a bit.

The bathroom pipes smelled- no one wanted to use it. Kitchen water from the sink also smelled. In one room, the lights didn’t work at all. Cobwebs in multiple places, suspect wiring, stains everywhere. Unsafe materials in yard, so it wasn’t a place where you could let your young kids go out to play w/out watching them. I don’t feel like I have particularly high standards, but no one wanted to sit on the couches or furniture, so we stood a lot. The tone of the second night, was let’s just leave and pay our own motel fees rather then stay a second night. However there were no open rooms on holiday weekend This what my adultChildren said “ I’m sorry this is such a pain- I think you deserve all of your money back and his vrbo privileges need to be revoked. “

I am so very sorry. I don't know how to get sewer pipes to not smell bad, especially if they haven't been used in a while as they need fresh water in there for the P trap to work. I am so sorry I didn't run some water before your visit to fill the P-traps. As per the couches, I just purchased new couch covers for all of the couches recently, so I don't understand not wanting to sit on new covers. I have tried to keep the costs down so entire extended families and sports teams can all stay in the same place and spend time together for less than the cost of one fancy hotel room. At least 3 times in the listing it states that the property is older and run down with stains, dents... That is why it clearly states" LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND DESCRIPTIONS BEFORE BOOKING!" This is very disheartening because I lose money most months and so maybe I should stop sacrificing so much for families if they are going to complain anyway about things that were disclosed up front. It is frustrating when people complain after the fact as they want a refund after enjoying the property. One group who did a bunch of damage on their first stay, made up a list of complaints after their second stay the next year because they wanted to get some refund! Maybe I will have to just stop renting as I don't have the means to fix up all of the damage guests keep doing (like a full-time job) or to upgrade the property. Besides I don't want to have to charge 5 times as much or more to cover the costs of updating.

I am the father of 8 amazing children and an inventor (Probiotic Maker featured on Shark Tank). I served at the Utah Boys Ranch (ask about the amazing Boys Ranch Miracles) and as scout/youth leader for decades. After a back injury and surprise divorce the children moved Back East:-(. I now live in the side missionary apartment I donated for years to the missionaries until the court ordered me to move over. The main house is now a vacation rental so the children can return to the security of their 4B Miracle home any time they visit.

It is extremely important that you have a 5-Star Stay (anything less is not acceptable) so please let me know immediately of any issues or whatever I may do to make your stay amazing:-).
