Pros:
-Central location
-Great layout, lots of space and separation so family can spread out.
-Nice outdoor space.
-Host was available and responsive. When I let him know about maintenance issues, he did offer to come right out to fix the issues.
-clean.
-comfy beds.
Cons:
-busy street, street noise was loud each night, and screaming revealers could be heard late into the night on weekends.
-Poor maintenance. Overall the house was fine, but there are a lot of minor maintenance issues (towel bar, vacuum cleaner, beach umbrellas) that are inconvenient. One that felt less minor was that at least three of the windows were broken such that they could not be opened, fully closed, or locked. This was a security issue, especially since one of the windows is in the kids (bunk bed) room.
-kitchen equipment left something to be desired. For example there were two baking sheets, but neither fit in the oven. There was salt, but no pepper. There was nothing supplied to store food; no containers, plastic wrap or foil. *A water filter would be a great addition, with San Diego’s notoriously bad tasting tap water.
Would I say again? Sure.
Would I go out of my way to make sure to get this house next time I visit? Probably not.
