Susan was a Pleasure to work with from the beginning of her inquiry to the end! Everything went very smoothly, & she was very responsive. Payments were expedited immediately, even ahead of scheduled dates. Susan, & her Guests respected our Property, & treated it like their own. Very Clean upon departure. The Rating I gave was 5 out of 5. We would definitely recommend Susan, & would open our home to her & her Guests in the Future! Thank You, Susan! :)

Wonderful house, community, and owner

Everuthin about this property was wonderful. It was so great that we are coming back again to stay. It was very central, a big size, had everything we needed and Kathleen made the whole process smooth.

Great vacation getaway

Great vacation getaway. The house is large, clean, well equipped and very well maintained. Kathy makes a great host, always hospitable and responsive. The lake community amenities are nice too. We've been back twice and have had great experiences both times.

The owner made sure all was well. Plenty of space for 8 people. Enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. Loved the association/community.

Paula was very pleasant to work with from beginning to end! It was the coldest weekend of the season, so I took extra precautions to ensure a warm & comfy stay! Beautiful home with plenty of accommodations!!!

Our family spend thanksgiving at this lovely home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked for our needs. The game room was a big hit with the kiddies. The owners are very helpful and kind. We went during a snow storm and the home was cleared out when we arrived. We are looking forward to renting again. Wonderful experience!!

"Hideout Hospitality"

I had a most enjoyable week staying in the Poconos. The homeowner of my rental went the "extra mile" to make the home a pleasure to stay in. Everyone could retreat to their own space or gather in the open concept of the kitchen/dining area. I would and will recommend this property to others, should the opportunity arise. Beautiful home in a beautiful community

Spent a long weekend this winter at this lovely home. . Everything from booking to check-out was very smooth . . Everything inside the home was clean and comfortable. The amenities of the community are pretty nice too .. we were a group of 8 and everyone found something fun to do either in the house (ping pong, fooseball, pool table, wine) or outside (skiing, ice skating, tennis). Overall a wonderful place just made better by all the host who is very co-operative and responsive.

This young gentlemen, (Ankit), was a pleasure to work with. The inquiry came in on Tuesday, January 13th. As indicated by the guest in his review, everything went smoothly. With such a short time frame, with arrival for Friday, the 16th, I must say that this couldn't have gone any smoother! I guess when your out to have a get away, with limited time to complete the transaction before arrival, response time is of the essence! & this couldn't have been any Better! We hope to have Ankit & his guests again in the future!

Thank you for your excellent hospitality...

Great place to spend your vacation! Very well maintained, very clean and well organized home. We spent a New Year break at this place (Dec 29 through Jan 1). What a great stay! Owner was very helpful accommodating us. It was a heavy snow storm on December 29 when we arrived, but all driveways were already clean of snow. We had a special request to have a BBQ grill available to us in the middle of winter. And the owner cleaned up the porch and had an extra propane tank filled for us! As I already mentioned, this home is very clean and well maintained inside. Nice kitchen with dishwasher & island. All kitchen essentials of home were available. Huge Master Bedroom with jacuzzi, second master bedroom and 2 other bedrooms for kids were roomy and cozy with clean linens provided. Great finished basement with bar, pool table and ping pong table is a nice addition. Overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Our guests anticipate & can't wait until their arrival. There is a lot of planning, preparation, & care that goes into their arrival, from both themselves & myself, & I like to make sure they get what they have waited for, for months before their arrival. The communications I have with our guests alleviates the unknown & anxieties. I want them to feel very welcomed, & comfortable like home. Upon Alla, & her families arrival, I was there to greet them. What a beautiful family. Alla's husband must be proud of all of the girls in his life. There was a heavy snow storm, so I was glad that they arrived safely. The grounds were prepared for their arrival, & their request for a BB-Q was gladly met. Afterall, it was a special holiday with special planning for the weekend menu. I personally like to make sure that the home is clean, comfortable, well organized, & fresh linens so that our guests feel like they have all the comforts of home. Having amenities to keep everyone of all ages entertained is just an added feature. It is nice to know that I have fulfilled their expectations, & another family left happy with their choice visiting with us, & will return. We look forward to having you, Alla & your family back in the future! :-)

Could use some upgrading. 4 slice toaster. It was rough only having two bathrooms upstairs for people in 4 bedrooms plus den. Had to have people going into the master bath while my husband was still in bed. Maybe a bedroom down stair instead of the den would be better. Den door should have a dark curtain instead of the laced ones. It was great having the linens included and the beds already made. Plenty of towels available . Also wished we didn't have to wait 1hr and 45 minutes to get in the house and to find out the keys were under the mat all along. Anyway thanks for everything.

I find this pretty amusing being there are 50 pictures! I’m Confused about Updating ... a Toaster is one thing, however, adding an Additional Bathroom when there are 2 Full Baths on the Main Level 1 of which is right by the 3 Bedrooms, 1 in the Master Bedroom Suite, & a short walk to the Lower Level another Full Bathroom, Really Suffices! Hotels have 1.... I didn’t Realize that Guests would want to Rearrange the Flow Of Someones Home In Adding an Extra Bedroom in the Rec Area, which already has a Pull Out Sofa Bed! As for the Sleeping Area Added just this year in the Morning/Sunroom with the Lace Curtains, which have been part of the Decor for Quite sometime gives Privacy, however, this was added more for Families who like their Children Nearby! As for a 1hr & 45 minute wait...this Guest & Family are Very Seasoned visiting The Hideout Community for years, & pretty much knows the Drill, however, Failed to Communicate with me through the Whole Process! I stated that Communication during the day of Travel would be via Text Messaging, which I Always do, & did, but was Not Viewed Not Acknowledged, as well as on the day of Departure! My Communications are Clear & Precise, & Instructions were sent Via Text to say I could Not wait with the Holiday Weekend, other Guests Arriving, Other Commitments, & where the Key 🔑 Was. There was Never a Return Response, & Only Expressed an Hour & a Half after I Text Messaged where the Key 🔑 was, Stating we have been here an hour & 45 mins. Unfortunately, there was a Huge Lack of Communication, Not on My Part, as I have been Renting & Managing Not Only Full Time Rentals, But also, Seasonal Rentals for Well Over 10yrs, & I am Very Clear, Precise, & Thorough, & it Shows in My Reviews On All Sites that We Subscribe to! Well ..... Anyway .... We are Glad You had a Nice Time!!

Great space and location, needs some repairs/updates

We had a nice relaxing long weekend at this house. The house is laid out nicely and has lots of space to spread out. The king size bed in the master suite was awesome, I have never slept so well. Our only disappointment with the place is that it needs appliance and electronics updated, and some minor repairs to walkways, doors and windows. There is great potential here. The owner is very easy and polite to communicate with and approachable with concerns/questions. Overall, my husband, teenage kids and their friends had a good time.

Great house!

This was a beautiful house. Very spacious and my boys loved the ping pong and pool table in the basement. Kathleen was very informative and answered any questions we had. The hideout community has a lot to offer for families. We will definitely be booking this house again in the near future.

Although unfortunately, Diana, whom I worked with well before arrival, was Not able to make this get away, her Guest, Kim & her family did continue with the reservation. Even though I did not meet her & her family, our communications via phone went well to see that they were comfortable upon arrival. Kim left me a Lovely Card expressing how they enjoyed their stay, & how Appreciative she was to both sharing in our home & my Hospitality! It is Always Great to hear such Beautiful Acknowledgements! I do hope that Diana can get some time away from work, & make that visit that she had & her family missed, & I will make sure that we make it Special! We enjoyed the stay

We stayed for three days in sept long weekend, we loved the place and katheleen was helpful in navigating us to the place(so that we can reach without any issue) and we are thankful for her assistance in helping us for planning the trip from beginning to end. Overall, we loved the place and enjoyed the stay and other adventurous activities in Pocono mountains. Thanks!!!!

I try to do my Absolute Best to accommodate our Guests! Although, I wasn't able to meet this group, the experience was great from communications, to the home being as found upon arrival! We look forward to another visit in the future! Thank you again......

Great house and owner!

My entire family and I stayed at the house for two days and we loved it! It was as nice as advertised and dealing with Kathleen was a pleasure! She explains everything and is very responsive to any questions or concerns. The only negative is that we wish we could've stayed another day or two!!

Wonderful!

Kathleen and her husband provided the warmest of welcomes and the homiest of homes. The area is a great place to enjoy the beach, nature and BBQs in the back yard. The house is fully stocked, clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for that getaway lake vacation. We used it as a central spot for our adult children to come and stay while attending our youngest daughter's college graduation at the Univ of Scranton. Thanks for the place!

It was our pleasure meeting Ruth, Tom, & daughter MaryEllen! They were very warm & friendly, & I noticed right away they felt Very Comfortable! Unfortunately, we did not meet their son Tom, & graduate Nora! As I have mentioned many times, welcoming our guests when possible, just gives an extra touch in making them familiar with the home, & feeling comfortable, as well as enjoying greeting them! We hope to see Ruth, Tom, & their family again in the future. Thank you for your kind words Ruth! :~)

Family vacation

Our stay was exceptional. The Owner was very helpful from booking to being available the day of check-in, during our stay with a few questions and on check out day. Not to mention the nice welcome chilled bottle of wine that was waiting for us. The house was well stocked and very spacious. There was plenty of space for everyone from my teenage nephew to my 7 year old daughter and my 67 year old Mom. We had a great time and look forward to staying here again!

Two families trip

Our two families (including 5 shildren) spend great few day in this house. The house is very spacious and clean. Enjoyed the clean crisp linens (thank you)on the bedding. The kitchen well equipped. We had all our meals together. Hope everyone else who races this house will enjoy it asuch as we did.

Beautiful house has everything

Great home, close to pool and beach. The house has an open layout with large rooms. Very well kept and Kathleen makes your stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this home and community. John S

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to meet John & his family, although I received a lovely family picture. Our correspondence back & forth felt like we had known each other, as everything went so smoothly! John's wife Susan, left me an Amazing letter! I have to say, All of our Guests have Great things to say, but when a letter as Beautiful as this one is left, you know you Definitely Superseded your Expectations! We hope to see John, Susan, & their family back in the future!

Tejal & his family/group stayed for Memorial Weekend (5-22 to 5-25). This was a larger group to start. The last evening there were 3 additional guests, for a Total of 17. (this is an exception) I appreciated Tejal notifying me of the additional guests. By the looks of our home, you would have Never knew it! My husband stated, if there was a contest, (not that we do), for how the home was left with such a large group, they would have won! It was Exceptional, & Very much Appreciated!! Thank you Tejal! We hope to see you back in the future......:-)

A great family home

The home includes all amenities. The kids love playing pool, air hockey and ping pong. The kids also love the Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom. The home is 5 minutes from the ski slopes. The owner makes you feel like family, always available if needed.

Carmine is Great to work with! This was his 2nd visit with us, so that tells us he was happy with our home to have returned. It's nice to hear that the children enjoyed the amenities as well. I have met Carmine and his family on the first visit, & they bring us back to our roots, & feel like family as well! Thank you for selecting our home again! Beautifull home Worth every penny

This house is a great vacation spot for a family with kids, you will find the house perfectly ready (even the heat will be turned on a few hours prior to your arrival) We go away a lot for weekends and i have to say this was a real gem

Fraidy....you leave me almost speechless!! Fraidy was wonderful to work with, which made the transaction go very smoothly. I was able to greet Fraidy, her husband, children, & brother in law. Such a lovely family. The children adorable! Beautiful home, great location

Spent a long weekend in this beautiful, very, very clean and spacious home. We had three families sharing this house and it had loads of space for everyone to disperse but enough space for when everyone was together as well. Kathleen was great to work with and she had a lovely welcome gift for us when we arrived. We utilized the ski area since it was a short driving distance and the prices were very inexpensive for the kids to tube, ski and skate. Thank you so much for a great weekend.

This leaves me literally speechless! I am sooo happy when I hear such lovely things. It only tells me that I was a success in fulfilling the needs of another guest/group. Mary was a pleasure to work with. In our communications, she stated that her children really enjoyed the community, & they would like to come back in the summer. As they enjoyed our winter sports , I am sure they would enjoy the summer ones here as well, with such an array of things to do. We look forward to Mary, her family, & guests visiting with us again in the future!

Very nice, clean, spacious home!

We stayed at this lovely home for a few nights in the summer, with our extended family, ages 4 till 65, 9 people in total.. It is exactly as described. Super clean, spacious, organized. Has all the amineties you need. The owner Kathleen is very friendly and helpful. It has comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels. Basically everything you can ask for. The house has plenty of areas to hang out and relax, such as the living room, sun room, out door deck and of course the basement. Unfortunately when we were there it rained so we didn't end up using the pool or lake. It's highly recommended!

What a lovely review! I don't always have the pleasure of meeting all of our guests, but from this review, I can only have great thoughts of who this family is. It is always wonderful to hear nice things, which shows to future guests the credibility I/we have, in hope that they will stay with us too. I am glad I have met the expectations of Mireille & her family, & I hope if they choose to stay again with us in the future, I will have the pleasure in meeting them, & they get to use the pool & lake!

I am a Native New Yorker, who moved to North Eastern PA/Pocono area due to my husbands job almost 32yrs ago! At the time we had 1 daughter, who was born in New York, & had our 2nd child here in PA. We raised our family here, which BTW, is a Greeeeat place to raise children! Our family has expanded to the next generation, which is an exciting part of our lives now!
Since then, we moved from The Hideout, but are not far off from the beaten path!
It makes for a great location, especially to accommodate the needs of our guests, if need be.

First of all, if steps are a problem, this is the home for you & your group! 3 Steps up to the front porch, & 1 into the front entrance.
You can be on one floor with enough space to spread out, & still be very comfortable!
The Master on Suite is on the Main Floor, but is on one side of the home for your privacy, which offers a luxury bath fit for 2.

The lower level offers a game room for your entertainment.
We're sure you won't be disappointed!
