Gatlinburg Getaway

We stayed here during Spring Break. The main destination for our trip was the National Park, but we also did many of the fun activities in town. We loved our stay, the views were beautiful and the condo was clean and quiet. Our only complaint was that it is pretty far up the mountain and it takes a good 30 minutes to get anywhere. I know, I know... what did we expect on a mountain!!? But we found that once we left for the morning, we just stayed in town until night, rather than returning to the condo for a rest. It wasn't that convenient and if we return to Gatlinburg, we'll stay closer to the activities we enjoy.

Cozy and functional condo!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen worked well and the porch has a neat view! The bedrooms and living room are good-sized and cozy:)

Christmas getaway

I wanted our family to be up higher in the mountain this time and this place provided that for us! Plenty of space! The road traveling to and from also gave us lots of beautiful views! But, don’t be in a hurry, as there are many turns. We, personally, would’ve loved ceiling fans in the rooms, but no deal breaker for us. We really enjoyed our stay!

I loved this place, it's beautiful, very clean, comfortable and with a beautiful view... the towels in the bathrooms were impeccable, the sheets on the bed were impeccable, everything was perfect... I give it 10/10

Great family vacation!

Property was amazing and looked as it did in the photos. Owners were very responsive. Sadly, no bears were seen but such is life.

Cozy and very clean.

The condo was as advertised. It was so peaceful and beds were comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Please follow their directions to arrive safely at the condo....no surprises.

Getaway

Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay and nearby to downtown. With Uber drivers available for pick-up and drop-off in both directions. Our only complaint is the beds, we felt like we were sleeping on a slate of cement, my husband and I opted to sleep on the couches the 2nd night, but still an uncomfortable sleep.

Couldn’t ask for more

The Perch was welcoming and comfortable: comfortable couches, places to put your feet up, good beds, soft rugs, and good lighting. It was beautiful: tall ceilings, giant stone fireplace, gorgeous cedar beams, nice cabinets in the kitchen, granite surfaces, and nice color scheme, The Perch was super clean and organized. In addition, there were plenty of extras: Kuerig pods, coffee, Brita water pitcher, and more. The view was wonderful. I saw several bears from the balcony, beautiful blue mountains, wonderful white pillowy clouds, plus ridges and ridges of lush green. I would have paid a lot more to stay. I am already planning a winter getaway. Can’t wait to see the mountains with snow and frosted trees. I am too old to ski, but not too old to lounge on the balcony and enjoy the view (rain or shine). Oh and did I mention the lovely night sounds and mysterious nighttime sky views? I’ll stop now. :)

Pleasant, well designed & relaxing

Hosts were great at communication, did everything possible to ensure our stay was perfect. Very clean & I appreciated there were plenty of supplies (toilet paper, tide pods, dishwasher pods etc.) Its annoying when you run out of something on vacation with these "starter packs" when you just need one more trash bag. No worries here, we had more than enough & didnt spend precious time going to the store! The view is beautiful, it is not totally unobstructed & depending on your expectations could be an issue. We found it gorgeous & the sound of the pool next to us so relaxing. I loved that you could see the mountains from both the living room & the bedroom through large sliding glass doors that open to a lovely uncluttered deck with grill & dining area. Electric grill was pretty easy to use - just pre-heat it! Clever design & great use of space. Didn't think we'd need a washer dryer, but came in handy. Tasteful decor & pocket door in the second bedroom bath made a second master suite. Tub in master was a deep soaking one! Comfy beds, fluffy towels. Sofa was comfortable, wide & the tall ceilings made it airy. Very quiet, surprisingly since it is a condominium we were not expecting it to be as private or peaceful. Liked the attention to detail & my 14 yr old son asked as we left if we could come back & stay here again! frufrustrating wjen

Cozy and comfortable

This condo is everything the pictures said it was. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the 2nd bedroom and bathroom were separated from the common areas with a pocket door giving the feel of 2 master suites!

Excellent, loved our stay!

We stayed here May 2024 and we have two young children. Excellent location for us for proximity to the National Park and Gatlinburg. We were there to hike in GSMNP but it was nice to have a rainy day option and take out restaurants in the city. Property was as described, updated nicely, pretty balcony view, quiet, felt safe, very very clean, washer/dryer so helpful when traveling with little ones, and kitchen well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals for the week. Keurig with pods and basic seasonings, sugar, etc. was appreciated. We loved this place and would stay again. Only area of improvement we would recommend is comfier mattresses. Both beds were very firm in our opinion. While mattress comfort is very much a personal preference, a medium or pillow top with a little softness would have helped us sleep better. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. We did have a surprise close encounter with a bear in the parking lot and saw bears three more times in the park - exciting and just something to be aware of, especially with little ones. Thank you to the host for a wonderful stay!

Always a great spot!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we’ll keep coming back. The home has essentials - detergents, hand soaps, paper towels, dishes, etc. It’s clean and comfortable. The location is great and we get to see bears on the drive or from the balcony. Be sure to follow the directions provided by the owners for ease! The access to pools is a great bonus!

Beary great place to stay!

The whole experience was great! Only there for two nights but got a glimpse of the beauty of the Great Smokey Mountains. The condo was awesome! The amenities were spot on. Nicely decorated and comfy. We wanted to see some bears and that was easy! They seem to know when you are packing your vehicle in the morning because they are right there to greet you. So fun, wish we had more time. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place in the heart of the Smokies!

You won’t find better views of the mountains. The furniture is designed for comfort with smooth fabrics, warm lap blankets, and all you need to feel cozy and relaxed. The unit is the only one in the complex with a private balcony. It is located next door to a pool and clubhouse. The concrete construction of the building provides sound insulation for a quiet experience inside. Bears are often sighted in the area, and the stars at night are lovely viewed from the large balcony.
