About this space
Bear Chase Bungalow - 2 hours north of Boston, 10 minutes from I-93 and you’re in the midst of the White Mountain National Forest. An abundance of activities await - winter, spring, summer and fall, - make Bear Chase Bungalow your base camp.
The space
Enjoy our delightful 2-bed, 2-bath condo. 2 private bedrooms plus a convertible sofa bed will accommodate 6 people comfortably. The well-appointed kitchen has everything you need to make coffee, whip-up a hearty breakfast before heading out for a day on the slopes, or for a big spaghetti dinner at the end of a day of hiking.
The Community Recreation Center is a 2-minute ride down to the intersection of Hodgeman Hill Road and Green Circle. Indoor and outdoor (seasonal) pools, hot tub, weight room, basketball court, children’s activities. Check with the front desk for hours as they change seasonally.
Guest access
You will receive the entry code approximately 48 hours prior to arrival.

Other things to note:
Check-in must be before 10:00 pm
Due to Association Regulations, the fireplace is not available for use by our guests. Any sign of tampering with the lock on the fireplace doors will result in a fine.

The homeowner has provided 1 Guest Pass which allows you access to the Community Recreation Center. Additional guests in your party will pay a fee and children 7 and under are free of charge. Please bring beach towels (provided by the homeowner) with you or rent at the Rec Center.

Please return the Guest Pass to the condo before checking out. There is a $50 replacement fee for a lost pass.

Lovely home to rent! We stayed for two nights a friend’s birthday in Plymouth. Great set up for families. Appreciated the amenities in the apartment, unfortunately ran out of time and didn’t make it to the community center with the pool. Mary was responsive and gracious. Recommend staying!

Nice place in a somewhat remote area. Very mountainous. Easy communication with host. Very confusing as to where the entry was as there is no clear path to the door around back from the parking area. Kitchenware could use some upgrades. There were ants downstairs in the bathroom and kitchen. The pass to the recreation center only covers one person - everyone else had to pay 20 each which was too much in my opinion. We declined. Overall a comfortable place and a nice experience.

A comfortable, quiet stay. We chose this home over others in the area for its amenities, available AC and proximity to activity center. Overall the home was well appointed. Comfortable beds & linens, great hot water & shower pressure. Plenty of pillows, extra blankets & towels. The layout is spacious for two couples providing privacy between the 2 floors. Kitchen stocked well enough to cook meals. You may find the need for something so ask before you arrive. A couple of items listed were missing from the home. The couch on the 1st floor is uncomfortable, very low to the ground. It was cool enough over Labor Day weekend, didn’t need the AC units. The rear outdoor seating is nice but the seat cushions were full of cobwebs & outdoor debris. Overall we arrived to a good surface cleaning, no odors or mess. But we made sure to contact the property manager to report the need for a good deep cleaning that was well overdue, inside and out. Manager was responsive but unapologetic for the conditions. She basically told me to relax and asked why I didn’t report my “sensitive” allergies. Would that have made a difference in the cleaning efforts? We had to contact VRBO for assistance. The home is in the Waterville Estates area, prepare for dark winding roads. It’s a ten minute walk to the activity pool center, we enjoyed the hot tubs. Bring towels! it’s a steep walk down & back up, may not be suitable for most people and nothing else within walking distance.

Mountain get away

We had a wonderful weekend stay for a wedding. Bear Chase Bungalow was a perfect accommodation for our crew of 4 adults- we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The house was a very comfortable and exquisitely decorated with all the amenities that we needed. The peace and tranquility was just perfect. Highly recommend!

We used this as a base with another couple as we were attending a wedding over a weekend. Overall, met expectations!

No pets allowed unless your the owner

We were over all satisfied with our stay but I did reach out to who I believe was a property manager about a few things regarding cleanliness. We were confused as to why there was dog hair, dog poop bags in the bottom of the trash, dog toys and a dog lead outside if the property wasn't pet friendly. The property manager informed me that the owner comes and stays monthly with his dog. I found this off putting since I dont own a dog and wouldn't rent a place that houses one.
