The Cottage on Cape Catherine

The Cottage provides the perfect getaway for couples or solo travelers. Just steps from the shores of Lake Catherine, you can sip coffee on the back deck or dangle your toes in the water on your own private pier. Spend lazy days on the lake or explore hidden coves on the kayak. This one bedroom 1.5 bath cottage is the perfect combination of coziness and charm. Soak in the beauty of Hot Springs while creating memories that last long after the sun sets over the lake. Your escape awaits. Book Now.

Cape Catherine is a private peninsula with 3 houses, 3 different docks and plenty of outdoor fun.

Cape Catherine is a private peninsula on Lake Catherine. The peninsula is home to 3 houses; The Big House, The Garage-Mahal and The Cottage. You will be sharing the peninsula with guests in the other two houses. However, you will be the only one to have access to The Garage-mahal. The Garage-Mahal is not shared with anyone.

I am just a phone call or text away if you have any questions. We have a handyman on call if you need something we can not resolve over the phone or text.

Cape Catherine is a private peninsula with 3 houses, 3 different docks and plenty of outdoor fun.

THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE!

You must be 25 years of age or older to rent this house.

The lake, docks, paddle boards, and kayaks are for your use. Use them and swim at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur while using these items.

This house is on Lake Catherine. Entergy drains Lake Catherine every year for shoreline maintenance and general Lake Health. That means that FROM MID-NOVEMBER TO MID-MARCH THERE IS NO WATER UNDER THE DOCKS OR AROUND THE PENINSULA.
Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.

The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age.

The person renting the unit must be the person staying in the unit.

A guest list with names and ages and number of vehicles must be provided.

Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am

A minimum charge of $200 per animal will be paid by the guest, if an animal is brought into the unit without prior permission from the host.

Hab a great stay place is nice we had most of the panesala to our selves.The 3 decks on the cottage are nice gives you nice views with no sun although the back deck gets very little sun anways .The place is well supplied with every thing you need.

The house was clean and very nice. The neighbor hood was quiet and peaceful. The only thing ( and this does not affect the house or host) the bed was too low to the floor for us old folks, and it felt like you sunk into the mattress a lot. But this is a very good place to stay and relax.

Only complaint was the bed...........back was extremely sore after sleeping on it 3 nights.......also the board around the bed was a shin buster..very painful.

Wonderful stay at this cute little cottage! The back porch overlooking the water was secluded and serene. We had everything we needed. Host stayed in touch and provided a welcome book with lots of recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Would definitely come back!

Relaxing at the lake.

Love the layout of the cottage. Not too small and not too large, wonderful kitchen, Weber Grill on back patio was great for grilling shrimp with a view of the water. Clean, comfortable and easy to relax. Definitely recommend and we will return to it again.

What a great property! The location is excellent and right on the water! We had so much fun using the communal kayaks! The cabin was very clean and functional!The only thing to note (and this does NOT effect my rating, as this is a personal preference): the bed is very low to the ground and does not have much support for older backs. So if you have mobility issues, especially problems with your knees, you might look at one of the other properties from this owner!Overall, 5/5 stay, we will definitely be back to Cape Catherine!!!

Relaxing Getaway

We loved our stay at the cottage, which was clean with plenty of space. We enjoyed kayaking from the front and back decks, grilling hot dogs on the grill, and listening to/ watching the geese. Good hiking and dining around nearby Hot Springs.

Relaxing getaway

The Cottage on Cape Catherine was lovely! The cottage was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Situated on a peninsula, we could go out the front door or the back door to access the lake—so cool! We fished, used their kayaks and paddle board, sat on the patios, and relaxed in this peaceful setting. It was our home base as we went to Hot Springs, Lake Catherine State Park, and the Garvin Woodland Gardens. Laura quickly and helpfully answered all our questions. We would highly recommend the cottage!

great location

Had a great time enjoying some of what the area offers, I recommend this for a couples get away. Only issue we had was the drain in the bathtub and sink were slow to drain. This is a great place overall.

Perfect Stay

This was the perfect location for me and my cat to go visit my family who live at Diamond Head. It was also super convenient cause they were able to come over and meet my pet. Everything was as expected and Laura was wonderful.

Peaceful and relaxing weekend

We had a little getaway for our anniversary and just wanted a relaxing quiet weekend and that’s exactly what we got. Beautiful views and just sitting on the porch enjoying the lake. Super dog friendly and the pups enjoyed the views and area too! We will definitely be back! And not too far away from downtown either!

Perfect peninsula place.

It was nice to be surrounded by water. The geese were entertaining just by themselves. The cabin was a quick access to Garvan gardens and super easy to get to town. The place was clean and pretty much well maintained. Will stay again.

Wonderful place to stay. Water all around!

Just came to Hot Springs to visit a friend in The Belvedere. Enjoyed the botanical Garden close by the rental. It was very clean, comfortable and pleasant. Disappointed we couldn’t buy a bottle of wine on Sunday but we did okay without it. Deck very nice.
