House was great! Felt like you were right at home and had that "my own lake house" vibes with bins of toys for kids to play with, blankets to use on couches, lots of various items to use down by the water in the boathouse. The bedrooms were bigger than expected from the photos with plenty of room to put suitcases, etc. The boathouse had plenty of life vests for our kids (2, 5, 7 year olds), though we did bring our own just to be safe. Had a blast playing on the dock, "fishing", catching crayfish, and bouncing around on the tubes, canoes, and paddle boats on the water. The boathouse was very nice for relaxing off the deck and was fairly shady with the roof so didn't have to worry about getting burnt.House is pretty high up on the hill with large cement stairs to get down to the boathouse, but wasn't too bad with kids - better than being too close and having to worry about kids and water on the house deck.Location was definitely rural, with not much within 10 minutes, but had a good time taking daily trips out to grocery stores 15 minutes away (Walmart/Price chopper) and some breweries/wineries (Muddy River, Awestruck Cider, Forged Brewery/Haze Winery).Overall was great for our 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids) and 1 dog.
