Discover the Austin Suite, one of six Refurbished Historical Landmarks at McKenzie Guest House. Originally built in 1907, this charming establishment holds a rich history of welcoming travelers from near and far.

The Austin suite is nestled within a secluded detached cottage, and offers an intimate retreat packed with elegant comforts.

Unwind on the full-size sleeper sofa, or find tranquility in the cozy embrace of the queen bedroom, promising nights of comfort. The well-equipped kitchen area stands ready with cookware and utensils, inviting culinary creations.

In the bathroom, a comforting tub/shower combination awaits, offering moments of relaxation. Entertainment awaits in the living area, featuring a 55” Roku TV for evenings of leisure.

Step outside onto the oversized deck, adorned with inviting rocking chairs, where breathtaking sunset views paint the sky. Savor the solitude and serenity of this charming retreat, where every moment whispers of history and genuine hospitality.

Things To Know:
-These charming suites are part of a shared building, each offering its own unique ambiance and amenities. Additionally, for those seeking a collective experience, all six units can be booked together, providing a perfect setting for family reunions, group getaways, or intimate celebrations amidst the historic charm of the McKenzie Guest House.
-The main building, standing tall as the original two-story hotel, once provided respite to stagecoach travelers and offered lodging and meals for the modest sum of 25 cents!
-1 dog is welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific SunnyDays approval.
-Please note the pet fee in your booking is 'per pet'. If you're booking more than 1 pet, the additional pet fee of $80.00 (plus tax) will be required to be paid after booking.
- Internal and external steps are required for access
- There are other bookable vacation rentals on-site that share the deck, picnic area, and grill with this unit; other travelers may be present during your stay

The property was in easy walking distance to a lot of things. The porch was a nice place to sit and enjoy. It was a little smaller than expected from the pictures.

Conveniently located to historic downtown: Visitor's Center, Blue Bonnet Cafe and restaurants.Ample parking and easy in and out access.Private and perfect for a close couple.

Property itself was nice, would have been great to have had coffee in the room. I would NOT recommend the Austin suite though. It sits directly across from a bar that plays live music and way too loud from the traffic. The building seemed to absorb all of the noise.

Charming retreat!

My daughter and I had an amazing and unforgettable experience here in this cozy home. The studio and property was exceptionally clean, relaxing and very easy access. I had no trouble checking in and out. It’s located downtown which made our experience even more delightful as everything was in walking distance! There is something different and peaceful about this town and even this property. I recommend this 100% for a family friendly retreat. What a special getaway, brought such joy to my daughter and I. My favorite experience was having coffee early in the morning on our porch while watching Red Robins in the trees. I cannot wait to bring my whole family back to this home and town. We will be back soon!

Fantastic place to stay!

We had an awesome first stay in Marble Falls and the Austin room was perfect for two with a great deck to have our morning coffee. The McKenzie House is one block off historic downtown Main Street and close to many restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back.

Entry instructions lacked an important step.Floor had dusty footprints all thru the rental.Password for WiFi was incorrect in the directions.Wooden railing around the nice deck is defective and if someone leans on it, they may end up in the garden.I have made at least 5 calls to support and they were great, but just too much time wasted doing that
