We had an absolutely amazing stay at Love Sand. The views from every angle are breathtaking and the house is extremely comfortable. Definitely recommend renting a Wrangler (or other off road vehicle) . We're already looking at our calendars to book another stay!

We had a great stay. The house was very nice and similar to the pictures posted online. The view is incredible and worth the stay alone. The only challenging part of the trip was the ability to call Ubers / Lyfts into town given the remote nature of the house - sometimes the wait time was upwards of 20 minutes. Additionally, the instructions to arrive at the house can be challenging for drivers.

Ocean Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights and are sad to leave. The property is iconically Nantucket. Its location - and the views- is spectacular. It is well equipped for a relaxing family or couples vacation. Hope we can make it back.

Love of Sand❣️

The house was so clean and spacious. Such attention to detail! The kitchen was very fully equipped with anything we needed (and more!). Walked the beach every day, saw lots of seals. Best sunsets and sunrises!

Amazing Love Sand

We spent a week at Love Sand mid september and we had the most amazing vacation. The house is spectacular and we fell asleep to the waves crashing each night. My favorite spot was the balcony off the master where I would have my coffee each morning. The house is cozy and is outfitted with everything you need to have a great vacation.

Beautiful location

The home was lovely and the views fantastic, especially sunsets. Lots of seal sitings! What people should know: the road is dirt, rutted, bumpy and fits one car at a time. So a 4-wheel-drive is nice or something that sits high off the road. The beach and views were wonderful, but the beach is not good for kids. Would pick another beach to sit and play for the day.

Wonderful Retreat

Love Sand, Madaket on the Beach was an absolutely wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy all the beauty of Nantucket. Although it's a little out of the way, it was just what we were looking for as a base to explore deserted beaches, view the daffodils before the crowds arrived for the annual festival, and visit the uncrowded shops in town. The house is beautiful- just as it was pictured on the website, and it's true that we didn't want to leave it most of the time! We hope to be back some day.

April vacation

This home will not disappoint! It's an adventure just getting to it and such a delight upon arrival! The view of the ocean is spectacular, especially at sunset. We expected to eat out often, but the kitchen was so well equipped that we cooked and ate at home most of the time. I had a couple of questions and Karen answered quickly. She had great information to make our visit more enjoyable. We would love to come back for another visit!

Love Sand Nantucket

Love Sand is a relaxing & beautifully designed retreat. The views are breathtaking while the sounds of the sea surround the home. You can embrace the mist on the windows as it reminds you of your closeness to the sea. So enjoyable!

Beautiful Location

This house was in a beautiful location, with a gorgeous view of the ocean and sunsets. It's a very sturdy house, as our first night there was extremely windy and stormy, but from inside you could barely tell. The house was cleaned and well stocked with plenty of kitchen items, paper products, and entertainment. The only thing that was a little tricky, was we did not have a car and getting Uber and Taxis were sometimes tricky, as some drivers did not want to go on the dirt roads. Besides that, everything was lovely!

Absolutely Amazing!

LoveSand absolutely exceeded all expectations!! The views are spectacular, and the host was exceptional in communication and assistance!! Our first ever trip to Nantucket was fabulous, and I can’t imagine a more beautiful home than LoveSand!!❤️❤️❤️

Great Escape

We had a great time and the house was wonderful. Very short walk to the beach and perfect views. Only recommendation is we arrived after dark and it was very very dark, a motion light outside on porch would be very helpful. We loved cooking in kitchen, everything we needed. Just perfect!

Perfect Nantucket vacation

When the property manager said to bring everything with you because you won’t want to leave she was 100% accurate. The house was cozy, comfortable and perfectly laid out. The views were perfection, as was access to the beach. We particularly enjoyed being away from town, yet close enough to drive in and enjoy the shops. Can’t say enough how great the trip and house were and definitely can’t wait to come back!

Spectacular

This is a beautiful property. Gorgeous location, well stocked kitchen. Comfortable furnishings. I cannot recommend this home more highly. Karen was amazingly accessible but fortunately since we had no issues I did not need to contact her. I look forward to returning.

Beautiful spot but had several issues with house

I rented this home on VRBO for my 43rd birthday. I am a professional at finding the best houses and locations (I am an avid traveler and rent many high-end & expensive houses a year) and really liked this spot on the beach on Nantucket. Karen was pleasant to work with online and answered my many questions regarding the house, rooms, and beds, internet etc. I was so looking forward to this trip. When we arrived to the house, we were drawn to the view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the windows were really dirty and the back door leading to the ocean was broken and had a note taped to the door, not to open it. My friend ended up washing the windows so we could see the ocean. Then that night we were sitting in the kitchen and there were a million bugs/moths/gnats all over the outside of house and walls (and thousands got inside the house through all the sliding glass door screens that had gaping holes). We spent 2+ hours vacuuming the walls and ceilings to get rid of them. This happened 2 nights!! I reached out to Karen and she did have someone come by and spray the outside. Almost all of the windows and screen doors had gaping holes, so I didn't get to enjoy the Master Bedroom balcony overlooking the ocean and watching the sunset as I had hoped. Other issues I had included fruit flies all over the kitchen (I am very neat and clean and didn't have any food out on the counters at all). Karen again had someone come over and put out vinegar. The house wasn't that clean - especially in COVID - there were dead flies on the windowsills, cob webs in every corner of every room. the mattress pad on the Master bed had stains all over it, the internet went out often, had trouble with the cable (I had to use my NetFlix the whole week.) There was only 4 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for a week!! Also, there wasn't much dish washer detergent so I had to go buy some. As we filled up the dish washer, we discovered there was MOLD in it. The girl who came by to clean the spider webs and bring toilet paper when I asked Karen for more, saw it as well. Then after dealing with all these issues on my vacation and spending hours dealing with them, I was over-charged for the trip and had to spend a few more hours trying to get my money back. For all these issues, I was refunded very little for all my trouble. I would not rent this house again and won't recommend to friends. Not the experience I paid for by any means.

Great place, amazing oceanfront!

Lovesand is a special property that we were lucky enough to stay at for a great family vacation. Karen Thorne was a tremendously helpful and accessible host, she is great to work with! Hope tog eat back to this property again soon.

Sand, Sunsets, Seals...

Love Sand is spectacular, especially if you enjoy privacy and a bit of seclusion, the beach being out of your back door (I counted 150 steps), some of the most amazing sunsets you'll ever see (might be even better than the famed Santorini sunset), and up close visits with seals! The house is comfortable and dual level decks provide awesome spaces to hang out and take in those sunsets. Karen, the property manager, is fantastic: responsive, attentive, and on top of it! We fully intend to come back.
