Historic Townhouse Condo in the center of Boston, across from the Public Garden

Facing the Public Garden in Boston's most elegant and prestigious neighborhood, Beacon Hill, our 1700 sq. ft. home, completely renovated in 2019, is central to the best Boston has to offer. Restaurants, galleries, boutiques, the Charles River and Boston Common -- all just steps away!

Enjoy Boston and live like a Bostonian in our newly renovated, sophisticated and relaxed garden duplex home. Located on Beacon Street in Beacon Hill opposite the Public Garden and Boston Common (the oldest city park in America), our apartment occupies the first two stories of a historic granite-faced 1828 Asher Benjamin townhouse. The home receives sunlight all day long and offers spectacular park and city views. It is, of course, fully air conditioned..

The main floor (Parlor level), with magnificent 11 foot ceilings and beautiful woodwork, is comprised of living room with TV and gas fireplace, as well as a brand new open plan Siematic kitchen with island and dining area. These two areas are separated by beautifully restored original pocket doors. Beyond is a powder room and a bedroom/den (sofabed) with an adjoining outdoor terrace in back.

Three bedrooms are one level down (Garden level). The main bedroom has one queen bed, two fully outfitted closets and en-suite bath with tub/shower. The second rear-facing bedroom has two twin beds and a walk in closet. In front, there is a single smaller bedroom with a full bed and outfitted closet. Off the hallway there is an additional full bathroom with a glassed in shower. The baths are fully tiled with specialty tiles from StoneSource.

Together, the bedrooms sleep 7-8 comfortably.

This is a beautiful property right on Beacon Street next to the Public Garden and around the corner from Charles Street. So, the location would be very difficult to beat. We’re Boston veterans who used to live in the area years ago, so we can appreciate a top property when we stay at one. Peter does a great job of communicating and makes the check-in and check-out process very easy. You won’t regret choosing this VRBO, and we will gladly look to come back again soon…maybe next year! Thanks for a great stay!

This is an amazing property at an exceptional location. The house is lovely and the host is easily available if needed. We stayed 4 nights and the location is centrally located so you can explore the city with ease. The house is decorated perfectly and the rooms are comfortable. I hope to return for a future visit!

Great stay in Beacon Hill

My family and I stayed here for a night and had a great time. The place and location are exactly as described and the owner is very responsive and helpful. It fit my family of 6 perfectly and made for a quick 20 min walk to TD Arena (why we were in town). Great stay!

Best Location!!

Place was great! We were able to check in as soon as we arrived. Location was amazing so many resturants to walk to! Uber was great to get around but you can walk to everything too. Beautiful area Boston in July highly recommend.

Wonderful Trip to Boston

We had wonderful stay at this property! It is perfectly located in Boston. It is a stone’s throw away from the public garden and the Boston Common. Back bay is just a step away. Easy access to all of Boston! The apartment itself is spacious and roomy. My family had a wonderful stay here and enjoyed all aspects of the apartment.

The location, accommodations, and professional nature of our interactions with the hosts were all top light. Convenient to everything. It ended up being more space than we needed because of a last-minute cancellation by two in our group. It could easily have accommodated the listed capacity.

Terrific Brownstone in an Awesome Neighborhood

This townhouse was nothing short of amazing perfection. EVERYTHING was exactly as described by the host and the listing. I honestly don’t think the listing is as good as the actual home really is. Immaculate, upscale and beautiful. Was up in Boston for the Red Sox and a speaking engagement and had 4 close friends. Walked to Abe and Louie’s from the townhouse and it was a terrific walk.The location directly across from Boston Common Gardens is perfect. Words cannot do it justice. If in Boston, this is the place for the perfect stay.1000% satisfied with this host and level and ease of communication. Thank you. I will be back!

Best location

Our family of 5 had the best time in Boston. This property was everything we needed. The location was awesome. We walked to everything. Charles street is 1 block away- great restaurants, shoppes, etc. The public gardens are beautiful across the street from the property. Everything was 15-20 min walk to major attractions. We will definitely be back.

Boston is a beautiful city. Beacon Hill is the most beautiful and livable part of Boston. Add the park view, the immediacy of the Charles River and Esplanade and access to downtown... there was not too much to think about!

Beacon Hill is the most elegant and historic neighborhood in Boston and is known as one of the finest urban neighborhoods in the United States of America. It is at the center of Boston, walking distance from every principal attraction. Next to the gorgeous city parks -- the Public Garden with its Swan Boats and famous Ducklings, the Boston Common, the Esplanade and the Charles River as well as the Hatch Shell, it is also home to Charles Street, one of the most photographed commercial streets in America. With great restaurants and bars, high-end stores, boutiques, galleries and antique shops, along with fine food and wine shops, Charles Street has it all. An evening walk through the gaslit streets of Beacon Hill is often considered a highlight of any trip to Boston. It is all at your door.

All that listed above is within a two to three minute walk from our front door.

Within a five minute walk is the world class destination shopping and restaurants of Newbury and Boylston Streets, Chinatown and the Back Bay, the State House and the Freedom Trail, Downtown Crossing and the Downtown business district.

There are three T stops within a five minute walk. There is a Hubway (city bike rental) directly across the street. But you'll primarily be walking. Everything is that close!

The famous Cheers Bar (from the classic television show) is on our block, just a hundred yards away!
