Beautiful & relaxing!

Check-in and check-out was easy, property was clean and as described, lovely views from inside, loved the private beach area. The only drawbacks were the shared hot tub was not private (we could see the other guests from our suite) and the fire ban, so we couldn’t have a fire. Maybe a propane fire pit could solve that problem? But we would definitely stay here again!

Oceanic Paradise

I stayed in the Oceanview Suite for a week with my husband for our 20th anniversary. The view was amazing of the ocean and the suite was inviting and comfortable.

Beautiful, relaxing, we will be back

It was so lovely to have some time away by the water and ring in the new year with a fire on the beach and some hot tub stargazing. The ability to grill outside and sit by the indoor fireplace was additionally so nice. We found a few parts of the suite needed a deep clean (walls in the bathroom around the toilet) or an update (bedding/bed) but those were pretty minor. We'll bring a few kitchen supplies and a set of bedding with us next time we stay. Thank you so much Doreen and Doug for making us so welcome - we will be back!

Beautiful spot

My husband and I loved the location so close to the water and with a lovely beachfront area to enjoy. We liked that the water was visible even from the unit. It rained for the two days we were there, so we appreciated the cosy gas fire. The kitchen has all that is needed but many things were in need of a good clean, since the kitchen chairs, walls and light switches were all pretty sticky. Also, the barbque that we had hoped to use was not in good shape, so was not usable. Overall, this place was a pretty good stay. The host is very friendly and warm.

Wonderful Getaway with Family

The property was amazing. Everything you could ask for. Beautiful views of the ocean and islands from the house and hot tub. Just loved the hot tub! Work out gym was a great asset for my teenage boys. Owners were upstairs but so quiet and Doreen was very friendly. Huge bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Gave 4 stars as S&P shaker, tea bags, mustard packages were old. Could use black out curtains as it was extremely bright in the morning. Bring your kayak or paddle board if you have one. Overall, we really quite enjoyed our stay there and got to spend some family time.

Walkout to the beach

We were welcomed by Doug who showed us around the property and access to the beach. A great private location. Everything has been well thought out and is spotlessly clean. We will stay here again when we visit in the future.

Amazing ocean getaway

This place was amazing- unbelievable views, hot tub overlooking the ocean, huge lawn to play games or relax listening to the waves. All the amenities you need and want available. Great outdoor large covered patio. Loved the outdoor lights at night too. The location is perfect - close to town. The beach is great for swimming and relaxing- large area for kids to play, beachcomb and lots of lawn chairs and toys for kids. Great outdoor shower after a swim in the ocean. Doug and Doreen very friendly and helpful with tips on local places to visit. Spacious and lovely inside as well.

Cute getaway for two

Our stay, while rainy, was pleasant thanks to Doreen and Doug's hospitality. Small touches like the slippers, bottle of wine were appreciated. As advertised, the hot tub was enjoyable and overlooked the water. My only caution is this rental is ideal for two. We had a toddler making sleeping arrangements and keeping clean a stressor.

Amazing

Surpassed expectations. Perfect location. Spacey suite, outdoor space, hot tub spectacular spot overlooking the ocean and beach. Beach side fire pit away from house so not to disturb owners. A very relaxing spot, private. We went as 3 moms/ friends. But would be a good spot for couples and /or families. Doreen and Doug were fantastic hosts. Beautiful sunshine coast.

Seaside in Sechelt

We needed a break, and we sure got it at Doug and Doreen's place! This is a wonderful vacay rental, highly recommend it if you are looking for a great home base for Sunshine Coast adventures. The property has everything you could ask for and more. So many great amenities, and Doug and Doreen are just lovely people. We are already planning to return, see you down the road! Cheers

Perfect summer spot

We stayed in the lower unit, which was perfect for its naturally cooler temperature through high summer heat and walkout access to shaded dining, green space and beach. The view was spectacular, especially when sitting in the hot tub at sunset. The house itself had thoughtful touches - beach towels, dishes, magazines, bath robes and slippers, etc. The sofa bed was squeaky, but pretty comfortable. We had a great stay here and recommend it. If we get the chance again, we'll want to return!

Heaven on earth

The name definitely says it all! The unit itself was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and made us feel like home. The extra special touches like the welcome snacks and wine were amazing and the fluffy spa robes were used lots( seriously every morning and evening). The hot tub was excellent and the beach area was fantastic! We swam in the ocean every day (bring your water shoes)and they made it easy entry by carving out a path. Swimming with the seals nearby was a treat! There’s lots to do in the area, hiking, water sports and sightseeing! Great restaurants, liquor and grocery stores very close to the unit. Very relaxing trip and spent a lot of time just looking at the view. We even saw a couple of orcas. Bucket list ✔️Doug and Doreen gave us total privacy. We actually would have loved to sit and have a drink with them, super nice and interesting people! I was reluctant to write this review only because I don’t want our little secret about how great this place is to get out! Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot

Doug or Doreen were wonderful hosts. They even went as far as to setup a high chair and crib for our little one so we didn't have to pack them along. The location was great for our family. Outstanding views and steps to the beach. We were able to rest and relax and enjoy time with the kids on the beach. Exactly what we were after. Thanks!

Short stay and a snowstorm

After a sudden snowstorm, the hosts fully cleaned and salted the steep driveway and cleaned the snow off my car! Lovely views, unobtrusive hosts and very lovely place. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful

The view was amazing, the hospitality was amazing. Doug and Doreen are perfect hosts. The only complaint was that the bed was too hard for our liking. We will return again :)

Fabulous Location on the Water!

Great spot! Very clean and well cared for suite and yard. The water views are fabulous. The pebble beach is great for beach strolls. The hosts were very welcoming.

Beautiful location

Thanks Doreen and Doug. We had a wonderful time. We had a clean large one bedroom suit with with views to die for. We had a peaceful quiet time to decompress from all the craziness that is life these days. I would highly recommend a stay here. By the way Doug the Cider is great thanks.

Haven by the sea

We weren’t here for long—just a couple of nights—so we needed a relaxing place and we got that here. Very cozy basement with a view, on a nice quiet beach which was lovely in the surprisingly good weather. The shared jacuzzi was a bit of an issue on the first night when the only other guests hogged it for more than two hours, and loudly, but otherwise it was glorious. Doug and Doreen were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary snacks and wine were a nice touch. Recommended!
