Find serenity in a charming two-bedroom cottage located in Frederic, Northern Lower Michigan, sitting on a spacious acre. With the AuSable River, Hartwick Pines State Park, and Huron-Manistee National Forest nearby, you'll be surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. Enjoy your days by hiking, golfing, or kayaking, and later, treat yourself to a meal at a nearby restaurant. Take some time to relax on the porch or the riverside deck while soaking in the scenery, savoring s'mores, and watching the stars around the fire pit. The cottage is fitted with Smart TVs, satellite and cable channels, plus a well-equipped kitchen, ensuring you feel comfortable and at ease. Whether you are in search of excitement or peace, this vacation retreat is ideal for any time of the year! It is conveniently located just over an hour from Traverse City, Petoskey, and the Mackinac Bridge. Please note that pets are not permitted on the property, and smoking is prohibited indoors. A $250 fee will be charged for any violation of these policies.

Great place to stay. Close to trails and can walk to the Swamp Bar for dinner and drinks. Could use a little TLC, but clean, private, and very peaceful.

Very easy to get to. This is a very peaceful secluded retreat with a small stream running through the back of the property. Real large yard with fire pit. All the things needed for a relaxing vacation.

It was the perfect peaceful place for us to stop halfway home. Sitting by the river was so peaceful. We didn’t stay for long, just to sleep, but it would be the perfect place for a family getaway.

Absolutely beautiful river home and the perfect place for our fly fishing getaway. The location was fantastic, peaceful, scenic, and close to everything we wanted to do in the area. We spent our days fly fishing nearby and even did a little fishing right from the river out back, which was such a great bonus.The house itself was extremely comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen was perfect for preparing all of our in-house meals and had everything we needed, which is rare in many vacation rentals. They truly thought of the little details extra blankets, plenty of towels, and well-stocked kitchen supplies that made the stay easy and relaxing.The outdoor space and river access really made this property special. It was the perfect place to unwind after long days on the water. Clean, welcoming, and exactly as described.We had an amazing stay and will absolutely be back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the river, fishing, and a relaxing getaway!

Great place to stay for a trip to the orv trails. The sandy entry into the river made for a good makeshift ice bath after a long day. Will try to stay again if in the area.

Private, quiet neighborhood. A great place for outdoor enthusiasts, families & friends, or if you’re looking for a river escape in Northern Lower Michigan. One of the first homes on the main branch of the iconic AuSable River. 1 acre of lovely property that is beautiful in every season.
Close to hiking, biking, snowmobiling and ski trails. Centrally located and close to Traverse City & Mackinac Bridge! (Just over an hour.)
