It was a fantastic experience and our second year in a row staying here! Clean area, comfortable beds, and lots of amenities close by. We will most definitely be staying again!

Nice place, great location

Very nice place, great location with easy access. Stayed here for one night as we were passing through from Rifle Falls to Hanging Lake. Highly recommend.

This place was perfect for location. Located in a quiet area, but near the interstate. The place was clean and comfortable and had plenty of sleeping options. Simple layout and overall an amazing stay.

The place was nice however, it must have been unoccupied for a while because there were a lot of bugs mostly on the pillows and beds in the room with the bunk beds. No weird bugs just little black beetles and a couple of flies. There were a lot of cobwebs in the corners that we removed. There was even a huge worm in the livingroom but we couldn’t find where they were coming from. The place was cozy and nice but there was a urine smell and even a yellow spot on the back of the couch. Someone might have brought an animal at some point. We enjoyed our time and It think it’s a nice place to stay and very close to Glenwood (we came to town for a wedding in Glenwood) however a few things would make it nicer. Cleaning the ceiling vents, a working living room ceiling light, and a couple throw blankets, cleaning the outdoor furniture. It would have been a nice place to drink coffee in the morning. It took a while to figure out how to turn on the shower. We did play the games that were in the house but they are incomplete so we just winged it, but over all cute little house and neighborhood, spacious house with a lot of beds, and it was super quiet. The Communication was great!

Thank you for the input and would have loved to hear this while you were there so we could correct them. No pets are allowed per our guidelines so not sure about stains on the couch. The cleaners were there before your arrival so any pics of these issues would be great for us to use as feedback. There’s three lights in the living room but maybe you missed them somehow.

Ski vacation

This was a great place for us to stay because it put us between Sunlight Mountain and Powderhorn Mountain for skiing, had a good bedroom layout for our group, and gave us the ability to make meals rather than eat out. The place was clean and spacious as well, and the host was very prompt to answer any questions.

We were there for one night. Plenty of space. Be sure to pack your toiletries. John was easy to communicate with.

Location In town was good but will most likely not stay again. Very minimal amenities that most places have. I have lived in the valley 20 years and never had a house with so many spiders and earwigs inside. 3 nights and was in the house mainly for just sleeping and saw over 9 spiders not a fan. Couldn’t get anything to load with WiFi and had absolute zero service in town. So had to wait til I got home to write review. Usually places we stay have more detailed check out instructions and house instructions so was a little surprised. Also surprised I got the door code a month in advance?

We apologies for the issues during your stay but the person that booked the property didn't reach out once about anything during your dates. We would have happily tried to fix anything we could have. The check out instructions are detailed on the VRBO app. We have the house treated monthly for pests but the summer always brings a few more bugs as you know being from the valley. We thank you for staying with us and wish we would have known about your remarks before you left.

Perfect for a large family with multiple children. The comforters are thin so if you are a cold sleeper, bring thicker blankets. Make sure to bring your own toiletries to meet your needs. The property met our expectations and was what we needed for lodging.

Walking in we were pleased with the accommodations. The place was clean and cool. The location was central and convenient and comfortable for our group of 7. There were a few things that weren’t cleaned when we arrived but we would consider staying in the future.

Nice big home, with lots of room for a group. We used this as our stop to hanging lakes. There is a great restaurant 10 min walk Miners claim. The house was clean, and as depicted. The only negative is that 2 windows did not lock. It was a group of women on this trip, and I did not feel comfortable knowing I could not lock them

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly impressed. Everything was very clean, open and fresh. Lots of towels, perfectly made beds, nice and cool (it was 90* while we were there), a perfect house for a great vacation. Owners were very friendly and easy to get in touch with. Special added features made our stay extremely memorable. Keurig coffee maker with assorted k-cups and to go cups for early morning outings was a great surprise. When we return to the Silt area, we will definitely be staying at Hook & Hunt! Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay! Highly recommended by our tribe of 7!
