The County Cottage is a beautifully furnished 655 sq foot bungalow, situated in a pastoral landscape, close to all the best that Prince Edward County (PEC) has to offer. Enjoy a beach day at Sandbanks, tour some of the 40 plus wineries, sample craft beer at one of the many breweries, visit the bird observatory, stroll through the shops in charming Picton or Bloomfield...so many places to explore.
When you return to the County Cottage, you'll find a well equipped kitchen, a charming electric fireplace, a screened porch all designed with a beautifully modern country aesthetic. When it's time to call it a night, there's a full sized bedroom with a comfortable Queen sized mattress and a nicely proportioned second bedroom with a trundle-style bed that pulls out to sleep 2 people (our default for this bed is to have the trundle opened to create a King size width).
The property is perfectly situated between Picton and Bloomfield (10 and 7 minutes drive respectively) and offers privacy on our 2 acre lot. We look forward to welcoming you to the County Cottage!

an amazing place to stay in PEC

an absolutely perfect place for the 4 of us to stay while re-visiting PEC...immaculate condition...any amenity you could possibly need, was there...hosts were friendly , helpful and attentive...we highly recommend the County Cottage...would stay there again!

Amazing home away from home!

Everything about this place was perfect. Great hosts, beautiful clean space, good location, quiet & peaceful. The size is just right. All amenities are there. Can’t think of anything more to say except … stay here! You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect First Family Vacation !

Absolutely perfect stay at the County Cottage ! For our very first vacation as a family of four, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home for a few days while we visited PEC with our twin babies ! Alan and Leah were excellent hosts, everything was clean and convenient. We really had a wonderful stay. Thank you !!

Highly recommended

We had a great a little getaway in PEC. Alan and Leah were wonderful hosts. We were greeted at our arrival, given a quick tour and made themselves easily available for any questions/ recommendations in the area. The house was clean, comfortable and had all of the necessary items needed. They even had dog treats and supplied us with doggy bags to make our fur babies comfortable. It was a great bungalow style stay for our 4 y.o as well. Their location is central to everything (sandbanks, wineries, etc). We hope to come back in the summer!Marie and Nate

Restorative weekend in PEC

holiday break

Very well appointed, all the modcons you could wish for (brand new!), with kind and attentive hosts Alan and Leah welcoming us as well as bidding us farewell. Immaculate bathroom and kitchen layout - couldn't wish for a cleaner setup. We had a great time, and would definitely like to return this summer (2025). Thanks so much, Alan and Leah!

PEC Getaway

County Cottage Comfort

We had an awesome stay at the County Cottage! This welcoming, well-appointed, clean tiny home has everything you need and then some and the location is a great home base for exploring PEC. I also love that it is pet-friendly, allowing furry family to come along on the adventure. Alan and Leah were friendly and responsive hosts who helped make our stay comfortable and positive. Looking forward to coming back sometime soon—so much more to do and explore in the county with the perfect place to stay!

Great place, convenient location, great people

It was a great pleasure to stay at this wonderful little house near lovely Bloomfield. My two adolescent boys repeated multiple times how much they liked the house. (Happy kids means happy single Dad!) It was a cold blustery winter in Canada and we were toasty warm and comfortable. We used the kitchen, which had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We did laundry, watched TV on an impressive screen. (My son figured out how to watch old series from the 1960s.) The owners were super, responsive, accommodating, and friendly ... I highly recommend visiting Prince Edward County and staying in this lovely little house.

Great place to spend a vacation with family

Clean place, well maintained, new like property, all the amenities. Location wise - equally far from Picton and wellington. I spent a couple nights and I didn’t feel like the property needs any improvement or if anything was missing. Had few books and toys for the kids as well. Host was very nice and responsive. I definitely recommend this property.

We have lived in different parts of North America -- Southern California, BC and Toronto -- but have finally decided to put down roots here in "The County". Our 2+ acre property features the recently constructed (2022) County Cottage and we think that it's the perfect landing spot to enjoy all that the area has to offer. We highly recommend planning time to visit Sandbanks Provincial Park, stroll downtown Picton, travel to the Prince Edward Point Natural Wildlife area and then sample some tasty wines. For those interested in antiques and collectibles, nearby Picton and Bloomfield are both great spots. We know that you'll enjoy The County as much as we do!
