HOOTING HAUS - HOT TUB - FIRE PIT - CABIN RETREAT

Nestled at the edge of a forest and named after our resident owl, Hooting Haus is a European styled cabin retreat close to all Penn State offers.
The gourmet kitchen's rustic charm features a zinc island, butcher block counter and stunning natural stone wall. Entertain guests at the artisan crafted pine table while dining next to the antique cast iron fireplace. Cap the evening sharing stories under the cool night sky gathered 'round the fire pit with a soothing hot toddy or mug of creamy cocoa.

NOTE-
We have beautiful woods at the back of the property, but if you're looking for a secluded getaway, this cabin may not be a good fit. We're close to the highway, which is very convenient to Beaver Stadium, campus and town - only 10 minutes and less than 8 miles away.
*2nd bedroom is located in the upstairs loft & library. Cozy, but not fully private.

Absolutely amazing stay! This cozy, beautifully designed VRBO felt like a five-star hotel straight out of HGTV! Every little detail was thoughtfully planned, from the stocked coffee and snacks to the mints by the bed. The host was wonderful, and everything was perfect. We can’t wait to stay again! We loved every minute of our stay! The place was really cozy and beautifully decorated. All the little touches our host left for us were so thoughtful - a hand written note to congratulate our graduate along with prosecco, cheese and crackers, gourmet popcorn, muffins for breakfast….everything was perfect! We will be back for sure.

My daughters and I stayed the evening at this incredibly cozy and beautifully appointed home, for a concert. Upon our arrival music was playing, place was spotless, the electric stove was softly flickering and we were instantly at home. The hot tub made for the perfect nightcap despite the below freezing temps. Core memories were made. We enjoyed this space so much that we plan to attend future concerts in Penn State with the hopes of staying here again. Our host Hilee was more than accommodating, available for questions with seamless check-in and check-out! 10/10 “Hilee” recommend!!
