Down from the North

Nice house, pretty much as advertised. A few things in the “wear and tear” department but overall very good. Many updates in the house Master BR could use a new mattress.

Needs a Maintenance Break

The home was beautiful with a perfect layout for our needs. We loved the first floor suite for our parents and the private en-suite in each room. There were not enough washcloths for each person, but we anticipated needing more and brought extras with us. There were several deficiencies that boil down to the need to take a break from renting to guests to complete some routine maintenance and repairs. Second floor master closet door was loose from its hinges and would not close. The master shower had mildew stains, broken tiles on the seat, and a sloppy grout repair around both drains. Several of the ceiling fan remotes had dead batteries, and so we were not able to turn on the lights. The kitchen faucet was loose and the handle came off easily with normal operating. The garage door opener was not connected. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher upon arrival. One of the upstairs toilets would not flush upon arrival and when it was repaired, the handle had to be held until the toilet finished flushing. The carpets was dirty and the house smelled of pet urine, especially on the stairs. There were fleas or bedbugs in the upstairs master bed and the upholstered headboard was stained. The extra linens, pillows and blankets in the closets were not clean. Hair and stains were noted on them. The air conditioning did not reach the upstairs master. Consider an HVAC system inspection and service. Feel free to contact me with your questions.

You get what you pay for

I was slightly suspicious about this property being priced so low with minimal fees compared to others in the neighborhood. The pictures look fantastic and the house is a great size and layout. Upon arrival you’ll notice the carpet needs to be replaced, the couch and cushions are worn to the level of needing replacement and the house needs a fresh coat of paint in the commons areas. We found 4 or 5 dead bugs(wormy things) but it’s Florida so I just grabbed the vacuum and took care of them. I didn’t give a second thought until our last night, I woke up in the morning with ants and flying ants crawling on me in bed, there were a considerable amount of ants in the upstairs master bed, bath and closet that just appeared overnight, 30-40 in the shower and 10-20 in the bathroom/bedroom. It was the worst way to end our trip. I called to notify the management about this and they told me I should have reported the dead bugs on the first day and that we probably left a window open and since it was our last day there wasn’t anything they could do about it. Well it was high 90’s and high humidity the entire time we were there, I don’t even know if the windows did opened because I never thought to open a window with that heat. Additionally none of the outlets in the bathrooms worked in the entire house, they offered to send in maintenance but we declined because it wasn’t that big of a deal and we didn’t want strangers in the house while we were gone. The pool is north facing so in the summer you will not see any sunlight hit the patio, good/bad depending on what you want. There is plenty of cookware, silverware, plates and glasses although many of the glasses needed to be cleaned before we could use them. Only 1 trash bag for the entire house for over a week’s stay seemed very odd as well. We have rented from reunion before and had great experiences but this last day put a damper on our week and the way it was handled by the management was even more disappointing. We will probably come back but now I know that we will need to look for a higher end house and call out every little problem immediately so that we are not blamed for creating the problem later on.

Clean, spacious, updated.

Beautiful home just as pictured. Very clean and spacious. We had a party of 10 stay at the house and never felt crowded. Also the beds are all very comfortable. I never sleep well away from home due to uncomfortable beds/pillows but I slept like a baby here. Had a wounderful stay and would use this property/rental company again. Stayed the week of 1/14-1/21/17.
