Looking for the quintessential Chincoteague island experience to make lifelong memories? Welcome to COTTAGE BLUEFISH, a Chincoteague Island hideaway retreat lovingly restored and newly available for the 2025 rental season. This island cottage offers classic Chincoteague seaside look & vibe, combined with fresh, clean, newly remodeled everything. Discerning guests will not be disappointed.

Every room has been thoughtfully updated, furnished with fresh fixtures, cozy furniture, and charming coastal decor. The kitchen is equipped with the full compliment of high-quality stainless steel appliances plus all new cookware, cutlery and stoneware — everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal or entertain friends. The breakfast bar will quickly become a favorite coffee spot to gather and plan the day ahead. Later, sink into the comfy couches and relax following your adventures.

After a day at the beach you’re sure to appreciate the beautiful new tile and glass walk-in shower. Fresh hotel-quality towels are provided. By day’s end, the two clean, comfortable bedrooms beckon. New mattresses, plush bedding/comforters, and smart TVs will ensure a restful night. Fresh bedding and linens are provided. Every detail of The COTTAGE BLUEFISH has been carefully considered to make your island respite relaxing and comfortable.

In addition, this “EV friendly” coastal retreat has a conveniently located 240v/50amp EV charging station, central air, wireless internet and smart TV's in the living room and both bedrooms.

Tasteful landscaping in the fenced backyard adds to the cottage’s hide-away charm, creating a quiet, peaceful oasis. SPF limits? No worries- our wraparound deck offers soft cushioned, comfy outdoor seating in either sun or shade anytime of day. Unwind and forget the world as you lounge among potted palms in the summer breeze as the seagulls call. Just a short walk from COTTAGE BLUEFISH you’ll find a delightful kids park, the local farmer’s market, quaint shops, several dining options, and now even pickleball courts!

Wonderful Beach Stay!

A small, cozy and quiet cottage that is a perfect getaway. Coastal decor is perfect and several outside living areas offer multiple options to enjoy the beautiful yard. Easy access to downtown, shops and the gorgeous beach or pony viewing. The hosts are super responsive to any questions and we can't wait to return.

Amazing Place to Stay!

My daughter and I spent a week here for our annual beach vacation, and this is hands-down our favorite visit. Communication was fast, and the owners are SOOOO friendly! We had everything there we could have needed and more! It was very clean, spacious, and just a beautiful place. The decorations are beautiful and there are books to read in every room, which was a huge plus too! 10/10 recommend for the perfect getaway. Close to the beach, shops, and food too.

Extended Weekend

Bluefish Cottage was the perfect size for our family of four. It is beautifully and comfortably decorated and offered all the basic kitchen and bath items if needed. Its location is both quiet and peaceful but also an easy walk to many local eateries and shops. The check-in process and communication was excellent and we thank you for a wonderful experience!

Cute, and Cozy Cottage

Cottage Bluefish was way beyond our expectations! The seafaring theme was so well done, and arranged with purpose. We wanted for nothing. After each day riding our bikes on nearby scenic trails, the Bluefish was the perfect retreat! We will definitely be back soon!!

Cozy little cottage was perfect for our family of four. It was clean, inviting and had everything we needed for our week stay. We had a great weather week so we were out and about most of our time. It was great to have space to unwind after a day of exploring. Bonus points to the hosts for the little details like books, board games, coloring books and notepads to make grocery lists. We will definitely book a return visit and highly recommend to friends and family. The hosts were quick with response to questions and recommendations of things on the island.

Comfy like home, but cleaner

The cottage is absolutely charming and we had a perfect stay. Spouse and I booked a 4-night do-nothing getaway and we couldn’t have picked a better cottage or better location. Nothing is more important to us than clean accommodations and every square foot of Bluefish Cottage is super clean. EV destination charging is second-most on our minds and Bluefish came through with the 240v/50amp [we used our own non-tesla EVSE]. The kitchen/living room area is open, bright, and cozy. The kitchen island, the comfy couches, and the large TV were the backbone of our stay. The bathroom is a generous space and is well lit with a great size sink & shower. The outdoor space is as well-appointed as the interior and the quiet neighborhood setting is absent of traffic noise. We didn’t need the full size washer/dryer but appreciated their availability. Lastly, the little things were not overlooked: quality kitchen and bath towels & linens; paper towels; facial tissues; bath tissue; kitchen implements, etc, etc. We will be sure to stay at a place hosted by Jen & Brad if we visit Chincoteague again.
