This gorgeous, luxurious, contemporary A-frame cabin spans 1300 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a cozy set of bunk beds designed with the little ones in mind. The A-frame charm extends to a private deck, hot tub, indoor fireplace for chilly nights, and an outdoor fire pit with seating, providing a perfect retreat all year round.

Situated just 3 miles from Downtown Pepin and a short drive from Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Wabasha, Lake City, and Red Wing, MN, our property serves as a gateway to the wonders along the Great River Road. Perfect place to unwind against the backdrop of the Chippewa River Valley.

Potter's Place is part of Samakya Cabins, featuring two unique properties that offer complete privacy. The entire compound comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests, making it an ideal destination for large family getaways. Please reach out to learn more.

We had a wonderful stay at this secluded cottage. The views were absolutely beautiful, and we loved seeing so much wildlife during our visit. After our daughter’s wedding, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind.The cottage was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was an excellent communicator, making everything easy from booking through check-out.It was such a peaceful, relaxing place for our family to gather and spend quality time together. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Definitely worth the money. Everything was extremely clean and the location is perfect for a relaxing stay. Even the fire pit was pre-built and plenty of wood to keep it going. Never been to another place where we didn’t have to bring in our own wood. Loved the little fireplace, beds were comfortable, and plenty of coffee also supplied. We used the grill one night and the hot tub looked really nice but we forgot shorts so we didn’t actually use it. Fantastic view. The check-in couldn’t be easier and all interactions with the host were outstanding. Very accommodating. We’ll be back with family next time to spend more time in the area.

Our names are Chris and Anna. We met a long time ago over a bottle of champagne (actually over two bottles of champagne but who is counting). Chris was the waiter and Anna was the customer at a St Croix Valley, MN restaurant on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

We have come together from different backgrounds, mentalities, and cultures but there are many things that we enjoy together – traveling, hosting, making something our own, design and living and sharing spaces and time with our friends and family.

We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to be the owners of Samakya Cabins. As only the second owners of this land since 1904, we felt its magic the moment we first stepped onto the property. The land carries a history that reaches far beyond our own lifetime, and we are deeply grateful to be its stewards. It is an honor to care for this special place and to have the opportunity to share its beauty, peace, and story with others.
