The listing in VRBO advertised that the room slept 8, with a king bed in the master, two doubles in the guest room, and a sleeper sofa. What we actually got was a king bed in the master, a king bed in the guest room, and a sleeper sofa - which only sleeps 6. When we called the front desk, we were told the owner was supposed to specify that we wanted the advertised floor plan and since he didn’t, we were stuck with what we had. When we contacted the owner, he did offer to reimburse the cost of the air mattress we had to use in place of the missing double bed. However, when we told him what the front desk said, his response basically amounted to “my bad”.
Had this experience not happened, I would have probably given this stay a higher rating. The staff at Wyndham was courteous and the facilities were clean. My only complaint otherwise, is that the pool is pretty small and there aren’t many deck chairs. Based on this experience, I don’t think I will ever use VRBO again.
