Bayside Manasota Key Condo With Easy Beach Access

I’d like to share an updated overview of the Sunburst Condo Complex following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. All hurricane-related repairs have been completed except for a portion of the siding, which are still scheduled for upcoming work. All other amenities are fully operational.

Beach Access: Beach access is open via a sand path.

Beaches: Both the public beach and the beach directly in front of the Sunburst Condos are open. The sand in front of the complex has been sifted for a clean, comfortable beach experience.

Island Conditions: Manasota Key is still undergoing recovery, and guests visiting in 2025–2026 should expect some construction activity throughout the island.

Local Businesses: The Waverly, White Elephant Pub, and Beachcombers Trading Post have reopened. Other restaurants and shops continue to rebuild and reopen gradually.

The condo was very close to the beach and restaurants .. we did a lot of walking to restaurants at night instead of driving .. good beach access and when evening came u ca watch sunset across the street 2 secs from the beachI also loved the fact that this place had a pool when it got hot pool was right there We used it everyday .. I def would stay here again .. and Kicthen had all apl u needed .. loved that it had a lot of towels also ..

The condo was clean and we enjoyed the fact we had access to both the bay and beach side. There were plenty of household staples located at unit already which was nice. Beds and pillows were also comfortable. It is up on the second story so you do need to be able to walk up stairs to access it so not handicap friendly. We also were able to walk to many restaurants on the key.

Great time ! Condo was as advertised. Beach was easy to get to. Pool was used by the girls alot. Just a great vacation spot. Will be back next year!

The unit was not as advertised. Some of the exterior photos used in the listing are from a different condo. The title includes “Bayside,” but the listing uses photos of the beachfront condos across the street. The map location also points to the beachfront property rather than this unit. The description states “on the beach” and refers to it as “a rare beachfront property,” which is inaccurate.The amenities list includes a “patio,” but there is no usable patio. It’s a sliding door with a railing outside. You cannot sit or enjoy any outdoor space, so describing it as a patio is misleading.We also had cleanliness and pest issues. There were ants in the unit, and on our last day we found a roach on the wall. We reported it to the rental company.When we arrived and realized the condo was not as described, I called the rental company shortly after 5:00 p.m. The person I spoke with said he would notify the office to see if anything could be done, but no one contacted us. I called again the next morning and was told they had received my message and had already given my phone number to the owner. I wish they had asked before doing so, as it created an awkward situation. When I spoke with the owner, she pointed out that “Bayside” was in the title and did not seem concerned about the misleading photos or descriptions. The conversation ended with, “Thank you for letting me know.”If you are looking for a true beachfront property, I would not recommend renting this condo.

Sunburst vacation

Had a great stay at sunburst!!! We were on the bay side with the pool which we used at least every day. There is still construction but overall the pool area was very nice and clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. I would definitely come back!!!

Perfect holiday getaway

Staying just a bit out of the fray of the park area was great. So nice to have the option of the pool or the beach. Really enjoyed our time and the accommodations.

Good experience, didn’t like the climb up the stairs after walking the beach for three hours. All in all nice place to stay love the beach love lemon bay! Beautiful. Love the area loved the location!

Great Location! Some TLC needed.

Great location, helpful and supportive property management. We’ve stayed on this property before in a different condo. This condo could use some repairs. Several of the blinds did not close/work , privacy. Ice maker didn’t work, was on but did not make any ice. Location and cleanliness was great. Easy check in and check out.

Connie, Sorry you had trouble with the blinds and the ice maker. We had our maintenance people check it out and it is working now. For other guests if you have a problem during your stay you can let us or our management company and we will try to address the problem during your stay. Blinds have now been adjusted also. Perfect location. Convenient to everything, including beach and pool. Perfect for two couples or parents with kids. Good place to take kids to eat close by is the Sand Bar. Our favorite restaurant close by was The White Elephant. A good steak and seafood restaurant was The Lock and Key. They have a shuttle. Lots of dolphins swim past the beach.

Excellent location, great amenities, newly updated condo!!!

The condo has a fresh, modern look to it, and is well-stocked with everything you'll need to enjoy your time at the beach. Literally steps to the pool and the fishing pier directly behind it, and the beach directly across the street, the grandkids did not have a dull moment! We had an awesome vacation, and look forward to coming back!!! This condo truly has it all!!!

Double Booked.

Arrived to discover that the condo was double booked. Fortunately the onsite rental agency was able to get us into a different condo. That condo did not have the same amenities as what we had booked but at least gave us a roof over our heads.

We apologize for this inconvenience and are glad that another unit was available for you. After this occurrence happened we continued to have problems with the on site management.
