The Homestead was built in 1834. It is a peaceful 2 story brick home, tucked away down a long gravel lane. Turn off your phone and sip your coffee on our two-story deck, overlooking the trees. It's a great place to retreat!

This home was perfect, loved the antiques and all the unique features the home has. Host was very accommodating. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Would definitely stay again!

We came for a wedding so we had the groom’s parents and 3 siblings, an aunt, two grandmas and a grandpa. We loved the historic nature of the property. The setting was very relaxing. We would have loved to know the history of the property.

Family stay

We were in town to attend a family members funeral. The house allowed our immediate family to stay together in a very relaxing environment. We happened to trip a breaker while preparing breakfast and Josh offered to come fix it. Our brother was willing to take care of this after Josh gave us the location. The house has a real cool vintage feel, yet offers the modern amenities. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

A beautiful house and property! The check-in/check-out process was smooth and simple. The two porches are absolutely incredible! A few notes for future travelers: there is one bedroom on the ground floor (the room with a double bed, a twin, and a trundle twin) and one bathroom (which is not close to the bedroom), the floor transitions between rooms mostly all have a very small step. The owners have done a FABULOUS job marking all of these steps for safety, but wanted to note this (we brought over my elderly grandmother and it was a little challenging for her). Every bedroom has a vanity with a sink-- this was so helpful for our family so that the kids didn't have to brush teeth on top of one another.. I can also see how this would be perfect for getting ready/doing makeup for a wedding! There were basic kitchen cooking items but not as equipped as some rentals/your own home . For example, we cooked pasta in multiple batches in a small pot, etc. Great location.
