This was our best stay ever! The hosts were on site and provided everything we needed, and a lot we didn’t. There were even fresh cookies made for us and muffins. The view is absolutely stunning. We wanted to stay longer!

everything about our accommodation was A plus. The view is incredible. The outdoor set up is fantastic. The house is fabulous and our hosts Cathy and Jay were beyond amazing. this was an unforgettable vacation.

Our goal was a peaceful weekend at the lake.

Our stay allowed us an exquisite view of the lake and we were treated with a boat ride as well. Our hosts were kind and helpful.

Pure perfection

Beautiful Nd relaxing

Beautiful and Welcoming Romantic Getaway

I booked this stay for my brother and his wife. They were enchanted by the breathtaking views, wonderful hospitality and delicious wine. They recently had a baby and were in serious need of some time to relax and recharge, there couldn't have been a more perfect location then the Lake Song Property with the most considerate hosts! Whether you are looking for a relaxing romantic getaway or a gathering with your friends and family this property is highly recommended! We will definitely be booking here in the future!

Perfect weekend

Jay and Kathy thought of everything from Champagne and crackers, to smores for the fire pit. The home has a beautiful lake view, lots of wildlife, and atmosphere for relaxing in elegance. The owners are quick to respond to needs and go out of thier way to be hospitable and welcoming. If ever I am back in Coeur d’ Alene I would stay at this location again.

One of the best!

First class accommodations, beautiful home, unbelievable view of the lake and surrounding mountains, outdoor patio / seating area, fire pit, hot tub! Jay and Kathleen are great people. I’ve never felt more cared for at any VRBO. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

This house was amazing!

You could not ask for a better view! Everything was above and beyond our expectations! There was champagne and glasses waiting for us, along with a board of cheese, crackers, grapes, etc. Fresh flowers in so many cute places here and there. I could go on and on, but don't want to spoil your experience. The outside was amazing with so many places to sit and relax. Highly recommend!

Best Ever

From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with water and a tour of the property. Jay and Kathleen have worked hard to make sure your stay is the best it can possibly be. This was our first VRBO experience and frankly we’re concerned we have now been completely spoiled and anything after this will be a huge disappointment, J&K we’re the best and we have already planned coming back. We just wanted to stay, it was so hard to leave!

40th Anniversary Get Away!!

What you see with the pictures is what you get... perfection!! Jay and Kathleen are the perfect hosts, the only time we bumped into them was in the driveway and upon our departure. Plenty of treats and snacks are provided and the view is worth it all. While away for the day on a biking adventure they snuck a 40th anniversary dessert into the fridge. A pleasant surprise. If our travels take us to this location again, a return visit is a must!!

Lovely home with magnificent view

We stayed at Jay and Cathy’s house Easter weekend. I was stunned by the beautiful view. Jay and Cathy are amazing hosts. They even had a charcuterie tray for us in the fridge. The house is beautiful and I cannot say enough about the view of Lake Couer D’Alene. Everything we could have wanted and more. The hosts do live on the property but they aren’t intrusive. I really want to live there forever!

What a beautiful place with unmatched views of the lake!

We stayed 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! We made good use of the hot tub and fire pit with views of Coeur d'Alene Lake. Could not believe there were absolutely no mosquitos, as we fully expected to be spraying up to ward off insects. The house is very secluded which also allowed us to enjoy visits from lots of deer, hummingbirds and even eagles and osprey over the lake. Jay and Kathy made us feel like good friends, making their beautiful home open to us, with extra touches like champagne on ice, fresh flowers and trays of Lindt chocolates throughout the house. We had a great experience and would not hesitate to rebook here when in the area!

Best VRBO experience we’ve ever had!

Lake Song Estates is amazing and beyond even what the pictures show and Kathy and Jay were wonderful! While they were clear they would give us complete privacy if that was what we wished, we thorough enjoyed getting to know them so that by the end of our visit they weren’t just our hosts but had become our good friends! They are people of amazing thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity. Our family’s visit to their beautiful home ranks as the best VRBO stay we’ve ever had in over 10 years of using these type of accommodation services for our traveling and vacation needs. We hope to return as soon as we are able for another visit! Loved Coeur d’Alene, loved Lake Song Estates and loved meeting and getting to know Jay and Kathy! Cannot recommend enough!!!

Stunning view, beautiful home, perfect getaway!

Amazing hosts, gorgeous views, beautiful home, perfect getaway!! We had the most wonderful weekend at Jay and Kathy’s residence. They are incredible hosts and go above and beyond to make you feel completely at home. They respond promptly to questions and are there quickly if you need anything! Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are wonderful. There are so many nooks to explore. We were thrilled when we got there and saw how amazing the property was. I can’t say enough wonderful things. Paradise

This was the most exquisite VRBO we have ever had the pleasure of enjoying! The hosts were so accommodating and thoughtful. Our stay has EVERY comfort of our home; chilled and room temp bottled water, chocolate treats, muffins, cookies, bath robes, slippers, beach towels, quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash, plush blankets, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. It was pristine and had every kitchen appliance and spice possible. We cooked and entertained our local friends and the host made sure all the patio furniture was wiped down before their arrival. So thoughtful! The view was breathtaking, better than the photographs. I recommend this stay 1000%! I was not sure how it might be with the hosts on site, but we never really saw them and knew if we needed anything, they would be right there to help! It was wonderful!

In the title of the listing, it states "Entire Home". I had no reason to think I had to scour through every detail to discover otherwise. It's very deceptive! Hidden at the end of a long description and again at the end of a list of 131 amenities, it mentions that the owner lives on the property "in a separate wing of the house" which means the master suite. It is closed off with no deadbolt between their room and the rest of the house. A towel was stuffed under the door to try to muffle sounds, but this didn't work. We could hear their dog barking, their cell phone ringing, someone talking on the phone and their TV or device playing loudly, which could be heard very clearly from the kitchen and foyer area. I made a video for proof. They provided no key to lock up our belongings when we went into town, they claimed it was a secure, gated community. While my husband was at a conference and I was in the house alone, the owner opened the door without permission and yelled hello. We realized when this happened, that they also entered while we were at dinner the night before and turned on a lamp that was not left on and rearranged items on the kitchen Island. Vrbo's policy states that he must have permission or enter only in the case of an emergency or urgent maintenance. Neither was the case. The owner's intrusive behavior and lack of concern for our privacy and security, made it that we could not and would not stay in such an uncomfortable and unsafe situation.

Jay is a retired Professional Photographer, Film Producer and Videographer. Kathleen has retired from the medical field as an OT after 22 years with Kootenai Health. We love to travel and meet interesting people from all around the world. We started our vacation home enterprise in June of 2012. Wow what a response we have had.

If you are vacationing to see the beauty of Coeur d Alene, this property is the one to stay. We have a view of Lake Coeur d Alene that is unseen from any other point on the lake. You will be staying in an Estate that boost of 4000 sq ft of large windows and patios viewing the lake. If you are reading, grilling, having smores' at the fire pit or spending time in the spa, the view will always be there for you to enjoy. We are located in an up-scale neighborhood which is very quiet and private. The distance to downtown is a quick 15 to 20 minutes. We purchase this year around home with several things in mind. We needed to have a view of water. We wanted a large property of 2.5 areas or more. We wanted a home with comfort and upscale luxury. We found it and bought it. The last 30 years we have worked very hard to make it even more charming. We have hosted guests since 2012 and have enjoyed every day of our experience. Living on the property gives an opportunity to meet wonderful guests and share their stories. Since 2012
