What lovely owners! And what a lovely woodsy spot, on a winding back road about 15 minutes from nearby town of Bath. If you are looking for seclusion and a taste of authentic old Maine camps, this is it! Pretty water view, especially from the cozy living room and the deck. We spent much of our time on the deck, and enjoying the hammock. The owners think of everything, even spring water. The property comes with a private dock, a little hard to access, down narrow paths on uncertain ground, with a steep incline when tide is low. But it includes two wonderful kayaks, and our kids enjoyed the two bikes, beach toys etc. Owners are so thoughtful and great communicators. Too many homely touches to count. The bedrooms are tiny, --the master bedroom too, which could use a new cushier mattress--and so is the 3/4 bathroom with shower, but you'll want to spend most of your time outside anyway, enjoying the great view, the peace, the woods, the water and so much to explore within a couple of hours in any direction. Acadia National Park is only a few hours north and L L Bean less than an hour south. You will truly feel as if you are living in someone's treasured little family gem-- which indeed you are. We hope to return!
